The truck broke down on 400 I was lucky to be able to pull it off the road with out being in a serious accident. It took 3 hours to get a tow truck! Not impressed with the customer vservicr at all and the follow up after requesting the manager contact me. I have yet to hear from him and it has been over 2 weeks.WENDYJ G.

Inventory that appears on web-site usually does not exist, and has to be changed via phone. Updates in booking often do not appear on web-site. Every time we Prebook a trailer we get a call a day before we are supposed to pick up.. the call always lets us know it's not available. â€œIn the shopâ€â€ how do customers make plans when this always happens? We understand from time to time but we rent two times a year at bare minimum and it's consistently like this. Found employees to not be as friendly in the am This time. Abrupt about having not done the pre check in. These times customers may not feel Comfortable placing id into a link in advance and prefer to do it while there. How do we know that's the true link.. I don't feel Comfortable loading my information into it. I didn't even notice the link come through. Even if we did I wouldn't be sure it was a safe link. We have work iPhones, people Are busy..things get missed when you have multiple texts and emails a day We understand everyone is busy, especially on these lots. She was Getty busy you could see that And we would never deny that.. Especially first thing.. so I very much appreciate how busy she was. But a level of tone/respect and customer service is all asked by your renters. Not a well we can't do this anymore. We don't Touch ID. Fast direct tone, a little condescending.. we are grown adults not children (I can place it on the picnic table no problem. What do you do if it's for seniors? They would have trouble overall..) We aren't high Maine customers.. We go to rent a trailer, expect to have it on the day we booked (when we book so far in advance) plan to go.. have a quick friendly interaction with someone on the lot and be gone. This time wasn't as great.. she wasn't too friendly this time. We have interacted with her in the past and found her To be much more friendly but unfortunately this time was met with her frustration with us not submitting if in advance. Which we have never done before. Also that my husband had a License renewal slip. Wasn't the nicest interaction of the morning to start it off.. The man on site was nice enough to help us get the hitch attached after having a little trouble. He had a nice tone and the help was very much appreciated. He left us with a better impression of our interaction that morning which was good. Thank you to him for smoothing things over.JUANC L.

This location was good ,the lady there did get a truck for me from another location, but all the other uhaul areas i dealt with prior for 4 weeks didnt care even try for me as a customer. Only let know day or two prior that not getting truck i had reserved, then wanted me to travel hundreds km to go pick up a much smaller truck at my expense. Some pick up locations they assigned such as commercse park drive barrie not even opened, wont answer calls and uhaul didnt return calls . I had to call many times to try get answers but no answers given ,just given ph # after # to call . Kept passing the buck. My experience ,most uhaul locations and even uhaul call centers do not care about the client only there convenience and bottom line. If i would of had another option as a drop off i wouldnt of chosen uhaul. Uhaul you better get your act together , be there for your clients.JOSEPH G.

I had a "guaranteed" reservation for a longer way rental to Montreal that was changed by U Haul the day before when I had no other options. I had a ride back arranged. I had to drive this vehicle back on my own time from Montreal to Barrie, paying for gas and getting charged for mileage. I shouldn't have to pay the additional mileage.Alec S.

The truck front and back were unclean and there were screws, nails, rivets, grass, and spiders I had to clean out in the granny cab and packing area. Someone spilled something, too. The last truck was the same inside but worse as it and the ramp were covered in saw dust plus there was grease/oil near the pull down door. (Again, that was on the last rental.) I cleaned both trucks and hope the previous people are charged the fee for not taking it back clean. Renting a truck is a privilege not a right. There is a red vape mouth piece my daughter said can be costly in the door handle of the passenger side door. Kind of gross. I told her not to touch but she had to get out. Whoever owns it may appreciate a phone call. The driver's seat on the right side has carpeting material coming away from it. The interior would benefit from a wash down including the sticky seats. The tires make strange clicking and metal dragging sounds almost like a foldback clip dragging quickly on asphalt especially on the passenger side. I received my invoice and it occurred to me that actual kilometres are not being checked upon return and charged accordingly. A guesstimate should not be charged. If I owe, I owe but if I do not I should not be paying for what I do not use. When returning trucks to All Seasons Storage when they had U-Haul, they always checked and marked down the mileage/kms before and after then they sent through the charges to a customer's Visa and they checked the cleanliness of the front and back of the vehicles. If they were unclean, the customers were charged the appropriate surcharge. I would appreciate that the mileage/kms amounts be accurate for the aforementioned reasons and pay if a debit or receive a credit whichever is applicable. I tried to use tge link to notify U-Haul the truck had been returned but could not. I called U-Haul and liatened to the same repetitive hold message over and over until I took a screen shot at 30:21 (30 minutes, 21 seconds) and hung up. I had to drive and move. Gracias.AMANDAWJ M.
What I reserved wasn't available where I booked it but your system booked me there anyway, couldn't get through your phones, nobody at the location to help, they were in a lunch break for hours. Lost almost 3 hrs of my day on the phone waiting for someone to help me, finally got a truck, also has booked it for 10 hrs but the system had changed it to 3 hrs. The experience was a complete mess. First truck that I was given had a headlight issue and a marker light out. Both are MTO requirements. I refused the truck. Second truck was disgusting with smoke smell, still had gloves in it from the previous rental, brakes were completely shot, cargo light was damaged and the cover was falling off, rad fluid was low, both doors were out of adjustment and wind noise howl when driving and oil life went from 10% to 99% while driving.Allan C.

This rental was available on extremely short notice. I went to a different Uhaul location within Barrie first, however, they did not have a trailer available. They searched the system to find a trailer for me, placed the unit on hold for me, and when I arrived at Whimsical Emporium within 5 minutes of closing, the lady on site was able to process my rental contract in a very timely manner, and made sure I had the trailer hooked up and secured properly before I left (all within 10 minutes). By far, this was the best experience I have had with UhaulCHRISTELDAWN N.

UHaul representative was top shelf - no problem. Truck however is a different issue. Hottest day of the year and no air conditioning. Cracked speaker(s) in the sound system (very annoying). Broken window handle - hard to wind a window up or down to get some fresh air.DAVIDK B.
Be clear on pricing. I signed a contract online with a price. This had gone up by 100$ when I picked it up and was wrongly advised by the UHaul person at the pick up location this was related to insurance and would correct itself on drop off. It had gone up again when I returned it and changed the contract agreement. My 3 day rental became a â€œone week rentalâ€ costing me 160$ extra dollars with nobody at the location to discuss this with. Now I have to deal with this over the phone and hopefully get a refund.RICHARD G.

What could be seen waa clean. Whoever used the truck before me ought to have paid a fee for someonecelse (me) cleaning it. eg. oil under door/om truck, saw dust and grass in granny hutch and the ramp was full of saw dust. Needed a 6'x12' trailer and brought it back an hour later because of the width not being 6' , the gate was not even 5' and couldn't load the trailer, went back and was told to bad and charged a full day , will never rent from uhaul ever again and will pass my bad experience on.Steve C.
