This was one of two 26' Uhauls my family rented to move our home. The other rental (same time, different location) went great! This rental; however, was HORRIBLE. One of the employees from this gas station rental hub was nice but very slow. It took them an hour to get me into the truck. She did not check the truck or go to the truck with me. She instead gave me the key and instructed me to walk to the top of their parking lot to retrieve the truck myself. I pulled the truck to the gas station to get gas because it had nineteen miles to empty. When I pulled the truck to the pump I noticed there was no gas cap. My mother (who drove me to get the uhaul) told the employee who stated she would get one from another truck. She proceeded to walk the hill so I began pumping gas. A good ten minutes later I still had not seen the employee again so I walked into the store. Upon entering a new unrecognized employee states loudly “I'll have to cancel your reservation. We don't have a gas cap.” I asked about the gas I had just put into the truck to which she replied “You should have checked the vehicle before you put gas in it!” I returned a very smart comment about it being her job to check the vehicle not mine. I then returned to the truck to call customer service. After being on hold for more than thirty minutes I spoke to a man that was rude. Upon calling the store to get their side of the story he ultimately told me he believed what the employee had told him which was far from the truth. (Employee stated that she told me it was fine to drive the vehicle without the gas cap but if I was unhappy with the vehicle she could cancel my reservation but it was my choice.) In reality the employee was loud, rude and condescending and shouldn't work with the public at all. The customer service representative then told me I could wait hours for a roadside service employee to bring me a gas cap. I stated that he didn't help me at all and that I was driving the truck to my home about two minutes away. I received a phone call many hours later from the nicest woman following up from roadside service. I explained the situation and she apologized and told me that driving the truck with no cap was just fine due to a shut off inside the valve. That statement could have saved me hours, if the rental employee had just made it herself instead of attempting to make herself feel superior by talking down to me. On top of this, the truck was filthy in the back. It was extremely clear that the truck had never been checked in when the last renters returned. When we returned the truck the following day, I parked it in front of the gas pumps and took the key in. The employee was different from the previous employees and told me to pull the truck up the hill again to where it had been parked when I had to walk to get it. He never checked the truck in while I was present. This is UNACCEPTABLE. This location should not be allowed to rent Uhauls. It is not the job of the renters to do all of the work.

Horrible and multiple problems. I arrived to drop off my equipment on a Sunday. This location was open and I went in to drop off my location. The young lady working their said, “we don't check in equipment on Sunday. Leave it anyplace and I will check it in tomorrow. You will get a confirmation tomorrow.” She never asked my name or anything about the equipment. So I left it. The following day I didn't receive a confirmation so I called. I talked to the same person and she said, “I forgot I will do it right now “ Three hours later I still didn't receive it so I called again. This time another young woman answered and said, “you talked to my manager and she's gone for a few hours and I don't know how to check it in.” At this point I had to contact the U Haul National office for resolution. I would never use or recommend this site again. This tarnishes the reputation of U Haul.

They sent me out to a trailer that had wiring cut partially thru. Went back and in and they gave me another trailer. Good thing my wife was with me to lift the tongue onto our hitch. Brought the trailer back a day early. Tamara sent me to drop it next to other trailers. Good thing I brought a hydraulic floor jack to lift it off my truck hitch as one person cannot lift it safely. They told me they would close it out on Monday as nobody was there on Sunday and email receipt On Wednesday, I called to tell them I had not received receipt. Finally received receipt via email on Thursday.

Rented a enclosed trailer with a single brake light and zero turn signals. Should not have been legal. Wished I had been pulled over and I wish the officer would have found Uhaul responsible. Dangerous, negligent, and just silly. It's not like I was offered a discount even though the rental service includes the price of upkeep on said trailer. Instead I was rented junk. Never again.

Because this wasn't my scheduled drop off location and because the location isn't secure (meaning it's not fenced in), I wanted a receipt showing that I had returned the dolly. It seems that the manager is the only person who can print a receipt, and she was unavailable that day. I did get the receipt the next day. Had this been my scheduled drop off location from the beginning it would have been an easy in and out process.

I did not request this location, so not optimal (I know why since they had the truck I needed). Truck was not clean so first thing I had to do was clean windshield. On bright side, gas was full, which was nice.

I know the place the gas station to drop off place but I asked the lady nice she was polite and everything but overall she told me she would take care of the rest and asked if I needed to sign anything to let her know that I dropped off the truck nice and clean and she was like all don't worry about it I'll take care of the rest and then I got a message about the trucks going to be late to drop off outside I drop it off 2 days before so I guess I sometimes you had that bad experience but it's okay just you hold before so

I'd like it better if all trucks were rented with a full tank of fuel, and returned with a full tank of fuel. This business of trying to match the fuel level is too difficult. I imagine it usually results in the customer leaving more fuel in the tank than was there at check-out, which is probably what you have in mind -- but it makes me feel cheated.

No signs pointing to the office for U-Haul in the back of the truck stop they called her and I waited for about 10 minutes for her to come and look at my trailer where is dropped off told her about no brakes she had more time playing on her phone and wanting to get rid of me and taking care of a person's needs do not recommend U-Haul

Equipment was not ready when I arrived at the designated time in Cowpens SC. The vehicle mileage was incorrect on my contract. Instead of printing a new contract, the clerk scratched out the mileage and wrote over. They didn't have the accessories I ordered, instead substituted, once again without up dating the contract. When I dropped the vehicle this sloppy business practice created a lot of issues and confusion. Although I requested a pick up point within one mile of my loading point, the U-Haul system shifted my pick up point 15 miles out of my way. This added an extra hour to my loading time. I should have insisted on my preferred pick up point that I requested. Beware of inaccurate contract information. Always get an updated print out. NEVER take the word of the clerk that “It's ok”.

While the personnel was friendly, the young lady seemed to have no clue what she was supposed to do regarding the return. In her defense, however, she managed to at least accept the keys and was more helpful than the representatives you have working your phones.

If you pick up over weekend and use online check-in, there is NO u-haul representative on-site, and clerks at front desk of plaza are limited in what service they can provide, and the online check-in, will not provide you a key number. It will provide immediately upon arrival with the listing of the size of truck, take a picture or write it down, i.e. J15789. Without number, clerk will not issue key. Took me an extra 45 minutes to obtain truck. Check out online service, excellent, no hassles.

When a person have a drop off location no one should change it. It was so confusing and uhaul change the destination for drop off. They should keep it the same to stop confusing customer .

Musunday Cumberland with the traffic center provided excellent customer service. After Ms Cumberland made the needed corrections to my account, the Westar representative called and tried to have the adjustments removed and even after talking with Ms Cumberland she was trying to over charge me.
