The staff was great! They were very helpful with finding the things we needed and taught me how to tow a trailer. They deserve to be praised. Can't thank them enough
CALVIN ABrake lights didn't work and we didn't find out until we were already finished moving. This could have killed us or caused a serious accident. When we tried to get help it took 5 hours to resolve our issue constantly being transferred from rep to rep. Can never recommend uhaul to a friend after this experience.
Miles LPoorly staffed. Had to wait a 1/2 hr to rent a van because the single employee was on break. Then, after her break, I had to wait and additional 25 min because she had difficulty with some return issue and needed external help to solve her computer related problem ( the renter was not present.). So frustrating! There was no compelling need to deal with this in the moment. She should have waited until after she checked me in! I get that staff need breaks. But it's a problem for renters at locations that are so small that there is only one staff person.
Keith LUhaul's inventory management system was not optimal. While I thought it was a nice touch that we were offered a guarantee (with a cash disbursement for any failure on that guarantee) for not having the requested vehicle available...we were disappointed that the vehicle we selected was not, in fact, available. I'm also not certain how to collect on the guarantee.

Jeff CTons of hidden fees that no one discussed. Plus my vehicle was never checked in even though I handed the keys to a clerk during operating hours. I got a phone call the next day asking when I was going to return the vehicle. I'll never use U-Haul again.
Paul SBe clear about the milage rate! I only used 79 miles but was charged for 100 and fuel!
Jennifer HLocation did not open up until after 11am; appointment was for 10am. I and others were left standing in the cold (New Year's Eve) for over an hour). Van was not in good condition. E-brake release was dangling off dash, check engine light went on soon after leaving the location. Was charged for gasoline refill despite returning the van with the same amount of fuel (photo proof sent). I waited for a response regarding the fuel before leaving this review but have not heard back.

Kree ANo improvements are needed. It was effortless to rent the VAN online. The location was perfect for pickup and dropoff. We will use the U-Haul services again in the near future.

James WFirst of all you can start by not over charging the customer! I was charged for late night service when I returned the truck earlier than expected. I was then charged 40-00 for gas when I brought the truck back with the same amount as when I got it!
Alfred BYou people are scammers. Fuel tank way below where you indicated. Starting milage 30 miles above. I'm disputing my bank to stop payment. Filling a case with Washington state secretary.
Mohamed AWish all of the equipment we rented was together and ready to go when the reservation was picked up.
JONATHAN EPoor customer service and did not have any training on how to attached a trailer or do a check list to make sure it was functioning properly. Was parked inward so I had to lift and move it myself cause the front desk kept telling me she didn't know and wasn't going to touch it. Luckily I know how to attach it but if someone else who doesn't know much about them they would be in a bad situation there.

Jennifer TRepresentative did not Wear a mask and was not knowledgeable about the vehicles. Representative also had to deal with another customer issue which resulted in a 35 minute wait to return my equipment. I would choose a dedicated uhaul location in the future.
MARTINA PIt took a really long time for the person to help me. She said there was another name and photo on the reservation!! She was able to delete it. She asked me for a second name to be added to the reservation to later say the system didn't recognize that name. She asked me for another name and phone number. This time it worked. When I dropped off the truck there was a sign that said "will return at 3pm". I had to wait until then!! I will not do business there ever again!!
MARCO RWhen I arrived gate was locked, no one was available in the office. Call was 50min wait to get someone to help. Got charged in excess of 90 miles more than I used the vehicle.

Rhys JNew employees need more training before they can be left on their own. Mustafa was very nice, but it took an hour longer than it should have to pick up the vehicle. Not really his fault though.
CLIFFORD MPut the location details on the web site that indicate that the equipment parking area is gated on the first floor of the building. Also that the office entrance may be locked at times when the person working is helping others with equipment.

DeAndrea LThis location was way out of my way. I requested a location much closer to my home but none were provided. As I drove to this location, a extremely difficult location to get to, I drove by a giant, fully stocked U-haul office. W/hy couldn't I, at least, go to the large U-haul office? The location I was sent to had 1 truck, 1 trailer, a terribly poorly stocked U-haul location. How do I get a U-haul rental CLOSE to my home for use instead of a 45 minute drive (one-way) away? After all that, they tried to double charge me when i returned the trailer...

RAY BMy reservation was at 8 AM, even though this location didn't open until 9:30. This was supposed to be a truck share situation. Although after waiting for at least 30 minutes to get through to a customer service operator, they had no idea how to allow me to do truck share. I was passed from agent to agent and finally told to call customer service again. Luckily, the person that operates this location showed up early (9 AM). He manually registered me and we went to the "vault" to get my key. He opens it-no key! He has to unlock the returned key box to find my key. My 8 AM pick up ended up being closer to 9:30. A waste of an hour-and-a-half I could have used packing. This experience was a nightmare!! I will not be using Uhaul again.
Paul LMy uhaul was not ready until 2 hours after my set time. The staff was unprepared and made several comments about my appearance. Very unprofessional and will not be returning or recommending this location.
DENTON OThis location was the most confusing and weird spot for a U-Haul. It sucked

Vinicio VI put more fuel in the truck than the amount in it when I picked up the truck. It was enough to get the fuel credit. I did not take a picture of the gas gauge to prove it. I should have received a fuel credit. I was upset about that. I think the staff should have pointed out the fuel credit to me. I thought everything else was good.
DELANAS DFile a complaint. My pickup address got changed last minute. I had to wait 2 hours and had to pay 30$-30$ for the Uber to the next uhual location. Can you please file my complaint. And how can I get reimbursement
palak gWe had an excellent experience at West Coast Self Storage Columbia City. The customer experience was really great - much better than all other u-haul locations nearby. I'd definitely recommend this location to a friend.
GEORGE MUhaul setup a time when they were closed. The van was not ready even after waiting for 40 minutes. Please choose another location and don't let Uhaul send you here.
David LI had to call the call center in Kent just to get someone to open the gate so I can drop of the truck. Customer representative at this location had me wait until he finished sweeping the floor in the garage and then decided he can open the door to help me. Total disgrace to customer service overall.

CONNOR HI had a very frustrating experience with UHaul. I reserved my 17' truck from a nearby location and then two days before I was scheduled to pick up this truck i received a phone call saying i was actually getting a 15' truck from a location much further away. Consequently, I had to pay more money for two reasons: 1) the 15' truck was too small to fit all of our belongings, which is why i reserved a 17' truck, so i needed to do two trips from my old house to my new house, rather than one, so more gas and more miles. 2) The location I reserved was a couple of minutes away from our old house. The new location was in Columbia City, which is a 20 minute drive from our old house, and almost a half hour drive from our new house. Therefore, this racked up significantly more miles than if we had received a truck at the location I reserved. Very disappointed, and I will NOT be using UHaul again.

Chrystal RI arrived and the gate required a code to enter the garage. I had to follow someone in to even get to the u-haul truck. I arrived after 9:00 and the store was not yet open; as I was heading back to my car to do mobile check-in, the store representative arrived and I asked him if he could get me set up with my vehicle, he told me to just use the app. The mobile app was clunky, it took a while to load and upload photos for my driver's license. I had to go back a page or dismiss to reload checking-in. Then I had to wait 10 minutes to get authenticated by an agent. I arrived a little after 9:00, but did not leave until 9:45, it took well over 40 minutes to check in. Then I got a $25 cleaning fee added to the bill for no reason; I drove less than 6 miles in the city roundtrip. Not impressed.

Maxwell MWaited around for the guy to show up. Almost 20 minutes later after being on the phone with someone trying to alert him that we were there and trying to pick up the truck all he said was, "I was cleaning a storage unit. Looks like they messaged me 15 minutes ago." No apology, nothing. Gave me the keys and took my license. Didn't explain the truck and how to use it. Only said bring it back by 4. Upon return he collected the keys and said have a good day. I had to request for him to tell me what I was being charged and even then all he did was blurt it out. I didn't get a receipt handed to me or emailed. Moving days are already stressful and all he did was add to it. I would still very much like a copy of my receipt.
Aimee LI was told that my card would only be charged 149.00 and I received a notice informing me that they charged me 217.00 instantly! When I showed the man who was helping me the charge that appeared on my recent transactions, he could not explain why I was charged 68.00 extra dollars. Then Upon return I was told I would receive a refund in the amount of 55.00 for not using all the estimated miles I paid for in advance, and I still have not seen it go back on to my card, leaving me to feel like I got ripped off for a total of 123.00!

Mohamed Sthe two gentlemen had no clue what they were doing, and wouldent stop bad mouthing the coworker that wasnt there that day. because of their carelessness they overcharged me by 45$ didnt even show me where the truck was parked. and didnt even include the tools i had purchased.
Evan GPickup location was changed at the last minute. Pickup location didn't carry the furniture pads, furniture or utility dolly that I paid for, and stil haven't been reimbursed for. Awful experience.
James TThe person working at this location said that it was not the right location for my drop off and gave me half assed instructions on how to get to another location which I could not find. I think called Uhaul and they said this was the correct the location and they had to call them and make them take my truck back. I wasted so much time driving around for no reason.
Kenneth CThe area is a bit hit or miss, but the shop clientele were lovely! Uhaul's weird process of insisting people photograph their id and then upload the digital image is extremely weird. Why not have a tabletop scanner for ID's? Or equip your staff with a dedicated phone. I think it's bizarre to present the staff with your ID and then find it's got to be photographed and uploaded to a portal. Hmmm. Other than than, good experiences across the board with Uhaul. Our truck had no loading ramp though, which sucked.
