Vehicle had litter in cab. Snow was not cleared off exterior, there was no snow brush to remove it. Had to ask then wait a while for u haul rep to inspect vehicle upon returning it.

Daniel WThe gas gauge seemed to have been tampered with. It got stuck when refuelling, resulting in what should have been a $30 refuelling becoming an $80 refuelling. In addition, during the payment process, I inquired why I was being charged $32 insurance for a 6 hour rental when it's $16/day. I was reassured that the additional $16 would be credited to my credit card upon returning the vehicle, as long as it's not returned late. That was unfortunately untrue. As a result, I do not trust or recommend Uhaul.
NICHOLAS KThe most horrible experience ever. 1. I was told a day before my trip that I need to go to Hamilton instead of Burlington to pick up my truck. This is still acceptable. 2. When I went there, there are no u Haul employees to assist. The two person who run the convenience store were of no help at all. They did not confirm how much fuel is left, nor did they make an attempt to clean the truck. 3. There was literally toilet paper in the truck dashboard. Cigarette ash was everywhere including the steering. 4. There was no dolly which I reserved neither in the truck nor in the shop. I had to call 3 different u Haul branches from the location to confirm if there is a dolly. I went to pick at 9.30 am and spent around 2 hours on call. 4. Finally, I was told that there is a dolly available at the 419 plains road Burlington branch. On my way to that branch it started raining, on noticing there was no driver side windshield wiper. 5. I went to the plains road branch and took another hour to explain what happened. They could not connect to the Barton branch at all from where I picked the truck. Finally the employee fixed the wiper. All this issues due to which I lost time, resources and fixed miles on the truck. Now I get a receipt that the fuel was less? This is the most horrific experience which the local public should be made aware so they do not go to u haul.
Mohammed AGreat service, I received a bigger uhaul than I wanted (15' instead of 10') although I was charged for 10' because I booked online so I cant complain. They were honest with mileage and did not charge me anything for gas as I filled it up. I had a good experience at this location. The uhaul trucks themselves were very old school and lacked cameras so be careful when driving otherwise, no isses.
AMEER ACashiers really slow, rude and unhelpful. Refusing to accept any kind of electronic payment, gave wrong info about the location and didn't communicate to each other. After making us go back and forth from 2 different locations and being told to go to the register to "have our deposit back" we had to pay for excessing the limite.

JOLENE MWhen I rented the truck I was going 1 way. The agent told me I could pick destination to drop off later. I received call from call centre ask where I was dropping off and I was busy so asked to call back. Never did and picked destination bi didn't want. The truck broke down waited over hour for mechanic who advised me to rrive straight to drop off point. As a result got charge for fuel charge don't think this right or fair.

Wendy YHi, truck was soiled, they must have used your truck for drywall and lumber, l was supposed to have emailed receipt, when truck was returned same day, 24 hours later no email received. Mileage over charged me, they supposed supposed to charged me 1.49 per mile they charged me 1.75 per mile. I been UhAul customer for 0ver 10 years, you need to call me been over charged.
Luis PI wish the contract could be modified at any time to leave the van in another place that is easier for everyone.

Ian M24/7 pickup didn't work (uhaul website's fault, not location). Had to go in and wait for single staff member to deal with other vehicle renters; arrived at 9:20 for 9:30 pickup but wasn't on my way with keys until 9:50. Barely beat my movers home for 10.
Jake KYour rideshare 24/7 program or whatever it is called is an absolute nightmare. The app wouldn't admit I was at my trucks location while I was sitting on it's bumper, it took forever to get my ID approved, the keys weren't where they were supposed to be. After 40 minutes and 2 calls to customer service the location opened and I got in person service in 1 minute. I'm warning people about this.
Matthew MFirst of all we went to pick up the truck at the location I was told. BUT NO TRUCK THERE. We had to travel to a new location. Where the truck was. We notice that the truck was on empty. I would appreciate a call. Gracias
Giuliano BClerk was fine but not very helpful. He's a 7-11 clerk, not a car rental clerk. But at least he was where he was supposed to be. However, despite the promise for a call to discuss the credit for the inferior dolly, nobody called. I was not surprised. Should I be, really. Hopefully I don't have to move anytime soon but for sure it will NOT be with U-Haul. Never again.

Geoffrey WI'm not the one to usually complain but your customer service there was horrible !!! There was no dolly that I had reserved. He would not let me park my car on site because there was a football game going on and he needed the parking spots to sell to potential clients, I had to go pay for parking somewhere else for my car. I got the truck with less then a quarter tank, I returned it the same way, he had no time to check the truck while I was there and charged me for fuel. (not Happy at all about this) Once I get back to return the truck he said I couldn't park it from exactly where i picked it up because I would block in his football clients and there was no parking on site!!!!!! I have always used Uhaul and I expect some compensation if not a full refund for such horrible service . Thank you, Andres Castro

Matthew CThe app didn't work kept going black. Tried 3 times had to call customer service In the end went in did check in with employee. Wasted 45 mins trying to get the keys and added time from 4 hour to 5 hour rental.
Teresa MLocation seems a bit odd to pick up a Uhaul, otherwise with a phone and data plan I suppose the prerequisite checks can be done anywhere. Just out of place. Would have preferred a true Uhaul location.

Glenna WI never received a final summary of my order. You people tried to pull a fast one and sent me images of another truck. I will be reporting this to the BBB and leaving appropriate reviews so other people know to check their hardware diligently. You are consistently by far the worst company to deal with and the moment there is a better option in my area you will never see a cent of my money. I strongly suggest someone do something before it's too late.

Pelumi OMust have a Debit visa/mastercard payment machine. Went to 2 different places and wasn't excepted or didn't have one. Had a previous cargo van rental in Scarborough Ontario and a debit Visa was accepted. All Uhaul rental places should be the same to accept payments.

Mark LLast Saturday I first went to 1254 Main St E, only 3 blocks to rent the van that was there. The clerk said I had to do it on-line. I checked Uhaul's web site. It the store was closed on Saturdays, so I could not rent the van. The next closest outlet was 890 Barton St from which I rented the van. The first store lost business and I lost time because Uhaul's web info is WRONG.
ARTHUR CThe process takes time and multiple people entering the store are being served while you're also being saved.I booked at another location when i got there there were no vehicles and was told to go to another location which is this one 890 Barton. I had poor experience i didn't expect that from Uhaul

gordon bThe driver side window was left open and the drivers seat was soaking wet. There was garbage in the cab area and in the rear compartment. I booked a 10 foot truck specifically because of the area I was going into and they tried to give me a 15 foot truck. I had to argue the point for several minutes, explaining a 15 foot truck was of no use to me. Over all a very poor experience. As well if you book a certain vehicle and your website confirms that booking for you, do not then change the size of the vehicle without informing the customer and asking if this is acceptable

Charmaine NI rented in Oct 2022 and was charged an after-hour fee and a cleaning fee. After-hour fee was not communicated prior to me, and the cleaning fee was not as a result of my doing - it was the company's problem for not locking the doors and it was used as someone's drug spot for getting high .... the Uhaul office was in a very sketchy spot.
Emine NThe equipment I reserved - and paid for - was not available. I filled out a "dispute" when finishing my reservation and have since followed up with U-Haul twice, and gotten no response whatsoever.
Will SExplain the fueling requirements up-front since there was less than half a tank of fuel (which was fine with me). And if I knew the mileage, then it would have been easier to figure out how much gas to put in. I think I put in more than I needed to. I'll go back there again since there was no hassle picking up the truck or dropping it off and the prices are fair.

Dami II had a horrible experience. I've been using uhaul for decades. First time I was sent to a convenience store to pick up my truck. Was given a different quote. The person there did not know what they were doing. I was no given a contract. Took him over 40 min. Did not come out to truck to check gas or mileage. Among other things. I definitely won't go through that again.

laura DGuy in convince store was unhelpful did not place key in lock box on exterior of building prior to my arrival though I had scheduled an online pick up. When I told him there was NO keys he proceeded to ask me if the box was open more then one time to which I replied "yes there are no keys in the box" he then proceeded to place a phone call and ignore the uhaul agent I had called while we was being difficult. And then found the keys behind the desk after making me wait for several minutes. It delayed my trip and was very unprofessional of the location. I absolutely would not rent a uhaul from a convenience store again. I was very unsatisfied.

They then expected us to still have the truck back at the same time even though they got us the truck more than half an hour late. They extended the time when asked. They forgot to give us the moving blankets we paid for so I had to come back.

Tonia VHello, I did not receive the vehicle I requested (even thought the order was placed a number of days in advance), which made the move very diffecult. The staff at the pickup location was not helpful, and even threatened to not give me a vehicle at all! Also, I don't know why I was charged an additional $20 above the rental rate. Most of my experiences with U-Haul rentals have been flawless, but this was the worst experience I've ever had and I will never do a pickup from that location again. Gracias

JASBIRSINGH BI was surprised to find that Uhaul has set up truck pick-up and drop locations at convenient locations that are not Uhaul depots. That reduced my mileage and saved me money. Truck was there, it was clean and in perfect running order. Very happy!

Ryan CRead the gas gauge properly. It was off when I rented so I uploaded a photo of the correct position. I filled the tank to that position when I returned it and still got charged a fuel charge. I really hate UHaul. There is always a problem.
Carolyn Wthis location is in a "sketchy" part of town with lots of "crack heads". We had a problem and had to be in store for about 30 minutes and we were uncomfortable at times. The clerk at the store was most helpful though.
Cathy FNeeds more truck available for" ready to go". Meaning, once you walk in there is one ready for you.
