Cadillac Converter had been stolen from truck in yard apparently the night before we picked it up. It was excessively loud and if we had been stopped my husband could have gotten a ticket. There was no other truck available and we were stuck so we had to take it. Should have been offered a discount on the cost for the risk and inconvenience of driving it.

Have Friendly and informative service Have reliable trailers that don't sway on the road when being pulled by a truck Make it accessible for customers to be able to utilize the trailer from Pembroke and leave it in Peterborough when they move so that they don't have to go out of their way to return the trailer Or have more 6x12 trailers available on site Renting the trailer from this place made my move more hectic and the service wasn't welcoming or informative

It's completely ridiculous that after having a trailer booked for a week in advance the day before I got a message stating it wasn't available drive 2 1/2 hours to get what I wanted. There must be a better system to figure this stuff out. Put me way behind on my move across the province. Time that wasn't necessarily available to use.

The rental return was a bit of a disaster. My return location (Barry's Bay) stopped taking returns 2 months ago. I tried calling customer service to let them know the situation and he wanted me to drive 3 hours out of my way when there was a closer location where I could just drop the keys after hours. He then refused to even discuss the possibility of me not being charged extra mileage and gas for having to return to a different location much further away. His customer service was horrible. I did have a great pickup experience and use of the truck and the actual location where I returned it was easy for a key drop. I just received my invoice with a zero balance for the extra mileage and different drop off location. I am thankful for that!

Only suggestion would be to have pickup location closer to my home address. There is a location 5 minutes away but the unit was available only at the location 25 minutes away.

I had a fantastic experience renting a U-Haul from Wayne's in Pembroke. The truck itself was in great shape and perfect for my needs (moving stuff). I was thrilled to find out a truck was available to me at this uncertain time and so grateful to U-Haul for continuing to make products available to those who need them. Furthermore, the price was very fair. What really stood out for me, though, was Wayne himself. As a woman renting a large truck on my own, I fully expected to be treated with a certain level of disrespect. I had braced myself for condescending remarks and was ready to grin and bear it until I could drive the truck off the lot. Unfortunately, that's just the way the world often works - men often see women as lesser, especially in these types of situations. However, my interactions with Wayne were not like that at all! Wayne was very kind, and treated me as an equal. He let me ask all kinds of questions and gave honest answers; he was 100% respectful. His positive, helpful, and extremely adept attitude made me feel confident, reassured, and capable. I can't even tell you how much it means to me as a woman to be treated with this level of respect - in any situation, but particularly while renting a large truck. These comments probably make me sound like a wild feminist, but really I'm just a normal woman expressing her thanks at being treated as an equal. Wayne's awesomeness was the perfect start to a challenging day - I was able to get my work done feeling optimistic and energetic because I was treated so well. I will be recommending Wayne's location for U-Haul rentals all over town, as well as any other auto services he offers. Huge thanks to U-Haul for making a truck available to me, and HUGE thanks to Wayne for making the whole experience so awesome. You guys rock! Annie Koppens

They do not answer their phone and are never there. The lot is dark. Personnel unavailable during work hours or otherwise.

The customer service at this business was terrible! And something to help improve your business would be allowing people to drop the UHAUL vehicle off at the closest Uhaul dealer near them not raking up their mileage they pay 0.69 cents per KM to be that was the most unsatisfying part of renting the Uhaul was to save money on Gas and mileage; it would have been cheaper to rent a truck or ask people with trucks to help move and pay their gas.. Also the gentlemen at the Uhaul center I picked the vehicle up from did not take a walk around the vehicle with me to ensure there was no damage like the website says when you follow the very first link confirming the gas gauge and Kilometers match, all in all i think the Uhaul websites and the place of business should all have the same information because that is false advertising!

There was 6 inches of ice and snow on the roof of truck and the renter said it would not come off. He could not open and did not make the effort to open the back of the truck because it was frozen. Payment system was retarded; did not show total amount before payment with credit card.

The vehicle that was rented had tires that were not in condition for driving in winter weather. The tires seem to be worn and showed very little treading. To disappointing that U-Haul's roadside assistance is not covered when the issue is with their vehicle and not the driver. Not a happy customer...

Windshield and side view mirror was crack, noted during check-in. Location is not open on weekends, had to use online check-in which took over 45 minutes dispite entering in personal information the night before. Also, online check-in service would not work with my android phone despite having location services enabled, but would work with my brother's iPhone....thank goodness I brought him along.

When making the reservation, we requested a location that had 24 hour drop off, and booking agent confirmed that location. I discovered by chance, when calling the location, that it was not our returning location. I called U Haul and was told that our email confirmation had the second location in it. Totally dissatisfied that the booking agent didn't/couldn't tell us our actual drop of location. Neither was I told to double check email for potential changes to the reservation. When I tried checking my email, none of the information would load in a format compatible with my mobile device, so I couldn't check it. This could have been a huge problem. We were also booked for 3 days when I only requested 2 days. Price was reasonable.

24/7 was the worst experience I have ever had. I booked the unit 2 weeks in advance, followed the instructions of the app it gave me a truck no. to find in thee yard. And then it asked me to resubmit all my information again as well as my credit info and gave me another truck no. and a lock box code. there where 3 lockboxes 2 unlocked and on not. there was keys in the unlocked boxes one being the key I needed. I spent 2.5 hours trying to get customer service to see why I got a different truck from what I booked 2 weeks earlier . they informed me that they have no record of that booking. all in all I spent 3.5 hours in the parking lot trying to get the truck

The cab of the van smelled like a barn, the smell of cattle urine & manure. The cab had rememinance of hay as well. The vehicle was in great shape, and had a great ride. The vehicle was almost new. When I signed for the vehicle I signed for a full tank, but it was down 1/8th of a tank. I was in a hurry so I did not go back in to complain. When I returned the van it was over full. I did report that evening that the mileage was reported wrong by 100 Kim's, but I mistakenly had it wrong as I calculated my general route and it match the contract. My overall experience was very good.

Get parking for customers, or make it clear beforehand that there is no parking. I've never once rented any sort of vehicle from a place with no on-site parking let alone parking within a kilometer.

I completed the electronic check-out, although I found it time consuming and somewhat difficult as I am not computer savvy. Once I completed the check-out online I noticed the vehicle identified had a duel axle trailer left in front of it by a previous custom (another reason having no attendant on scene is not a good idea). I had to manually move the trailer parked in front by hand (thank god I had a helper). Once I verified mileage, fuel and damage I proceeded to drive away. Some distance down the road I came to a stop at a controlled intersection and a massive amount of snow and ice that had accumulated on the roof of the van portion came crashing down on the windshield. I almost has a heart attack at that moment. I turned off the road into a parking area to see how much snow/ice was on the roof. I was quite surprised by the amount and came to the conclusion that this accumulation was not done overnight, as it would have taken many weeks of accumulation to have that amount of snow. And the fact that on the bottom was all ice. This should have been removed by the proprietor (another reason having no attendant on scene is not a good idea), I tried removing it but could not climb onto the van portion where the accumulation was. There was a big warning sign stating not to stand on roof of cab (so I didn't). I would have needed a latter to mount the van roof (not an option for me seeing I previously had hip surgery). I was so frustrated at this point, but needed the van as my daughter had to move that day. So I had to stick to side roads, unable to drive on any highways, due to the danger of flying ice coming off the roof. This situation added quite a bit of additional mileage on my rental. That was the least of my concerns as the big concern was ice falling off the vehicle. I have never been so frustrated as I was that day in dealing with this safety hazard. If nothing gets done about this complaint I will take it higher. I have used U Haul in the past and have never encountered anything like this situation previously. That being said I would be very hesitant to use U Haul again going forward. If an attendant would have been there I would have addressed it at that time, but this was not an option (another reason having no attendant on scene is not a good idea). So I will use this opportunity to vent my concerns. Very Frustrated William Aird 613-281-3705
