Get parking for customers, or make it clear beforehand that there is no parking. I've never once rented any sort of vehicle from a place with no on-site parking let alone parking within a kilometer.

I had to return the vehicle to the pickup location which cost me extra money. I would have preferred being able to leave it where I went to.

Very upset that he has the nerve to charge my credit card without authorization. American Express is working on the situation because I did call uhaul and was told that the higher up boss would call me and did not get a phone call all day. Very good business to run!,,,,,,,

I completed the electronic check-out, although I found it time consuming and somewhat difficult as I am not computer savvy. Once I completed the check-out online I noticed the vehicle identified had a duel axle trailer left in front of it by a previous custom (another reason having no attendant on scene is not a good idea). I had to manually move the trailer parked in front by hand (thank god I had a helper). Once I verified mileage, fuel and damage I proceeded to drive away. Some distance down the road I came to a stop at a controlled intersection and a massive amount of snow and ice that had accumulated on the roof of the van portion came crashing down on the windshield. I almost has a heart attack at that moment. I turned off the road into a parking area to see how much snow/ice was on the roof. I was quite surprised by the amount and came to the conclusion that this accumulation was not done overnight, as it would have taken many weeks of accumulation to have that amount of snow. And the fact that on the bottom was all ice. This should have been removed by the proprietor (another reason having no attendant on scene is not a good idea), I tried removing it but could not climb onto the van portion where the accumulation was. There was a big warning sign stating not to stand on roof of cab (so I didn't). I would have needed a latter to mount the van roof (not an option for me seeing I previously had hip surgery). I was so frustrated at this point, but needed the van as my daughter had to move that day. So I had to stick to side roads, unable to drive on any highways, due to the danger of flying ice coming off the roof. This situation added quite a bit of additional mileage on my rental. That was the least of my concerns as the big concern was ice falling off the vehicle. I have never been so frustrated as I was that day in dealing with this safety hazard. If nothing gets done about this complaint I will take it higher. I have used U Haul in the past and have never encountered anything like this situation previously. That being said I would be very hesitant to use U Haul again going forward. If an attendant would have been there I would have addressed it at that time, but this was not an option (another reason having no attendant on scene is not a good idea). So I will use this opportunity to vent my concerns. Very Frustrated William Aird 613-281-3705

Truck was dirty inside, with only 1/4 tank of gas. No day parking, which wasn’t mentioned prior and led to lost time. Customer service was less than polite.

The truck smelled like dog poop or vomit on the inside, and I had booked it for 6 hours but they cut me to 4. Unacceptable I won’t be using uhaul again

The return location that is on your web site and agreed to apparently closed in August. They and the new site stated their frustration that U-Haul has not been able to fix their web site. I was in a hurry to drop at former location and returned trailor after a meeting I had little time to get to. I was therefore charged a late return fee - really! You folks need to get your act together. “New” Drop location was not open and the red “closed” sign was blinking in window therefore no assistance their at all. All in all pretty frustrating. Competition Bureau should reconsider your monopoly position. It is in your interest to return charge for later return immediately.

Vehicle was fine for city driving but at highway speed it pulled very much to the left and had a shimmy. I would recommend an alignment at least.
