Debrica W.This rating is for this location, not U-Haul in general. Initially, U-Haul let me book a truck at a location that wasn't even open. In addition, the moving help (that I pre-paid for) never showed up. Why? Because U-Haul allowed them to be triple (!) booked for the same date and time. I've been a customer for a good while but this was a very disappointing experience.

Gail W.I showed up to pick up the truck that I pre-paid for. They could not find the key for the truck. They made excuses about being too busy and having only one computer. While they tried to find the key (not trying hard), they took care of two people behind me in line. They finally gave up looking for the key and gave me a much bigger truck. AND MADE ME PAY EXTRA. I have rarely seen worse customer service. At the very least, I should be refunded the extra amount I was made for a truck I did not ask for but was forever to take due to their ineptitude.

SUSANNA M.My original drop off location at 1235 S Main St Anderson, SC 29624 (Empire Masters LLC ) should never be an option to rent from or be a drop off location because they're gated and always closed nor do they pick up the phone. Voicemail is not set up to leave a message. But after calling Watson Village Self Storage, which was down the street, took the stress off my shoulders. Watson village was very professional and took care of my problem.

Randall C.Staff at this particular location are nice and helpful. The reason I know this is because the website didn't work to do anything self-service as it is intended. When I arrived to get the rental truck on Saturday, we had to call and have them return to the location because they hadn't gotten the online reservation in time in order to have the truck ready for pick-up. When I returned the truck, I couldn't check it back in using the online service either. The picture of the mileage and gas verifications wouldn't upload after numerous attempts. I had to "chat" with someone and inform them that the truck was being left with the mileage and the fuel level given in the chat conversation. Yesterday, I received 4 different receipts where I had been charged 3 different amounts for the service. All 3 different bank charges are still pending as of right now (Tuesday). Overall, I appreciate the folks at this location for doing their part to make things right, but I'd think twice about using Uhaul ever again after this experience. Highly dissatisfied with the online process which is meant to be contact-less but wasn't anywhere close to it.
Jennifer W.According to paperwork the truck I picked up was on a full tank of fuel, which it was not! I returned the truck with more fuel than I received the truck and was still charged for fuel. Also had trash in the truck which I cleaned out upon return. Will choose another location if service needed again!

They charged the card before I agreed to the charges and marked as a ‘return trip' when we scheduled it to be ‘one way.' Very poor.

Alice H.I've rented many time, this was more time consuming than any other. Upon return, I was asked for copy of contract, help up for more time than necessary. If you can night drop a hauler...dropping it off in person shouldn't take any longer.

However, when I picked it up, I was charged an additional $100 and employee could not give me an explanation other than "that's what it says the charge is." Took my credit card and driver's license - returned credit card but not license so I had to have someone overnight fed-ex it to me because he wasn't "authorized" to send it.
Michael Y.The young man in the office was very courteous and informative. He gave clear instructions on where to put the trailer when we brought it back. However, he did not offer to help us unhitch the trailer as personnel at other locations have done w our past rentals. We are 73 and 68 and managed to lift the hitch off the ball and disconnect the trailer. However, I wonder how a less capable individual would have fared without help.
Tom K.The person I reserved through the 800 was very nice and polite so was the gentleman when we picked it up. With them having hours of 8-6 this made it very convenient that we could get it use it and then return it all in one day.

John L.The man helping me was lost the entire time he was assisting me. I was charged twice and I didn't know the insurance was optional for me, it wasn't made optional. I was charged for insurance without my knowledge or consent. Uhaul should do a better job of training the people that will be representing them.
