The cabin of the truck was in poor condition. There wasn't even anything to plug and charge a phone - which made it very stressful to have enough battery for the GPS. I had ordered pads but the location didn't have any to offer. The premises themselves are not the cleanest. The staff lady was helpfulVincent P.

Be clearer about how many additional contacts you'd need (it mentioned one but then you asked for two), give better directions on how to reach the truck in its parked location, don't make me go find the truck, then go back to get the key, then go back to the truckNolan A.
Ya overcharged me. The tires were low and the vehicle was filthy. Also all the roads were closed around this location and I was instructed to park on the street for my return and there was zero street parking. I had to drive around wasting gas and racking miles up. The vehicle was also very damaged and the doors didn't work properly. I really would like a refund, I'm very upset. I think I'll go with Penske next time.Dalton W.

Van was dirty in the back, needed to be swept. Van was also left at 1/4 tank, and the location manager advised that I needed to fill the tank back up to 1/2 a tank or I'd be charged. I had to spend $30 to fill the tank and dont think this expense should fall to me. I asked the manager if Uhaul would refund me and he nodded yes. I did not see any refund of my expense on my receipt.Bronsin A.

First and foremost the after hours return system is a nightmare. There's a lot, why is it locked. Second of all, the vehicle is not well maintained, rough riding and delayed engine startup were a couple of the issues, along with a chipped windshield and a disabled passenger side mirror. I think it's time to retire the old vans and maintain the new ones. Otherwise, the guy behind the counter was great.Nisson F.

There were significant technical issues when trying to reserve online and save my quote. Even so, I got there and thankfully a van was available. The attendant was nice, but the location leaves a lot to be desired. It's a very small and poorly ventilated space, and there's not even a ledge to lean on to sign papers and scan your license. That said, I got what I came for so it is what it is. My suggestion is to return the vehicle while the place is still open (before 5PM) so you won't have to find parking and checkout online, which I also had technical issues with.izel F.
Two tires were flat and it was over due for an oil change. I also received the van at 1/3 tank full and returned it that way. But was still charged for gas because they said it was 1/2 tank full (which it was not).Molly H.
The locks on the car were broken and I felt unsafe driving it on the highway. Every time I would lightly press on the brakes the entire car would shake. I would not have been comfortable driving the car for a long distance.Lena D.

Poorly organized, car was parked on street with many parking tickets upon pick up, car said it needed an oil change when I got in, employee insisted it was fine. Turned out ok but my friends truck from the same place broke down. Very disorganized and I worry they will inflate my charges, which I heard from many others that this location does.Jonathan K.
HORRIBLE SERVICE. FROM THE ONE LADY AT THE COUNTER TO THE ACTING MANAGER WHO LIES, IS RUDE AND DOES NOT UNDERSTAND HOW TO PROVIDE CUSTOMER SERVICE. GO TO ANY OTHER UHAUL LOCATION, AVOID THIS ONE AT ALL COSTS. I HAVE HAD NUMEROUS ISSUES AT THIS LOCATION, INCLUDING INCORRECT BILLING AND BEING TOLD I LOCKED MYSELF OUT OF A UHAUL THAT I KNOW VERY WELL I DID NOT LOCK MYSELF OUT OF.Justin D.

I have been renting on a weekly basis. Sometimes I have gotten over charged for gas. I always take pictures just in case this happens and was never credited. The vans are dirty. The signal lights were not working on the last one I rented. And I got charged for 4 days instead of 3.Armando G.

The staff was very nice and cooperative. The actual rental experience was not. The truck floor bed was disgusting. During online check in I stated this. I was charged $25 cleaning fee when I said it wasn't clean enough for next rental when it was like that when I got it. Also, you should ask for 20 additional pieces of information during checkout when I am standing there trying to access my vehicle . Do this in advance. The office could use some repairs. The desk area was slightly broken. The person assisting was wonderful and very quick. She even handled my request past the closing hours. The truck was slightly dirty inside the back. Returning the truck was simple and incredibly fast. Other than those minor things, an excellent experience.Nicholas M.

Drove 5.5 miles, was charged for 3 gallons of gas. There is no way the truck gets under 2 mpg. The truck was not left idling or driven in some insane way. Simply abusive reading of gas gauge.Matthew C.

I returned the truck filled with gas to the level where I picked it up. Took pictures at gas station. Atop of that Uhaul charged my CC $25.00 for gas refill. When i called UHAUL Operator, he told me to call Uhaul that hedid not charge me for gas. I will be sending pictures with my dispute of this charges online and with my credit card financial institution. The parking was terrible. People had ro park on the road risking getting ticket from city of New York.Johnson O.

The customer service was fine, the people were nice and helpful. However, there was garbage left behind in the front by previous renters and the cup holders were full of crumbs. The tank was only a quarter full, which was fine for me because my move was local, but would have been inconvenient for someone with a longer drive.Ariel J.

I had to wait about 30 minutes to get my van because the system was down. It's not their fault the system was down, but it made it a little hectic with so many people waiting. When I went to get my truck, it wasn't in the location they told me; they clarified once I called them to ask and it was close by, but it was just hectic in this sense.Rachael M.

The right side mirror was taped on at an angle that did not let me see around the side of the truck. I felt unsafe driving it, especially at 2am in the morning because you weren't able to provide me a truck at the location and time that I originally reserved. Overall I had a horrible experience and will never rent from UHaul again.Stephen S.

This rental was in NYC. This is a truck. You must have labels everywhere saying so and giving truck permitted roads and bridges. The fact that there is NOTHING or in super small print on your website is a glaring omission. Also the truck is way larger than it needs to be. Its too wide, too long. An electric model would be nice. The best thing about it was the A/C because I rented it on a superhot day and was stuck in lots of traffic. Maps Maps Maps! There is no parking at this facility after office hours and the location is impossible to find available street parking. I spent 1 hour looking for a space and 30 mins calling u-haul to discuss my options. I was told to return the following morning during office hour but was charged an extra day when I was told I would not be charged...Ian B.

Your customer service sucks you can't have people standing infront of you that you're servicing and leave them to go service another and when you return taking you're own sweet time ,then you send them on a journey to pick up that which they've rented from you . All of you're tracks vans etc shouldn't be on you're premises or parked in close proximity.monica B.

The online "don't wait in line" experience seemed so promising. But it was not the case, as I still had to wait in line and check in despite having done it already on the app. The people were very nice and doing their best at the location, but it was chaos. More staff were needed to manage the number of vehicles and reservations.Nicholas A.

I would say the experience was mediocre. The van was ok, but not super clean. Some of the blankets were still wet. It wasn't the most convenient location for us, but other locations that were closer didn't have available vehicles. On Saturdays if we had returned after 3 we needed to park on the street.
