Return instructions not clear. Uhaul phone rep did not know how /where to return

I returned the van with 1342 miles on the odometer, and they charged me an extra 15 miles ($26.85). This location is closed Sundays, so the after hours drop off did not let me verify the mileage with anyone at the location.

I was told there would be blankets etc. available to me WITHOUT a reservation. I understand this is not how this works but this is WHAT I WAS TOLD. This is my first time using U-HAUL and the experience was terrible and I am going to believe what a representative tells me as I have not used your services before. There was no accessories left for purchase when I got to my pickup location which they also- changed on me last minute. Then they also gave me the wrong mileage on the truck so when I dropped it off...I had to deal with that as well. Also, I called the company to see if they could give me complimentary bubble wrap in Brooklyn at a pickup location near me and the manager practically hanged up on me . This was the worst moving experience- my things broke in the truck because I didn't have them wrapped properly.... and I would not use U-HAUL again unless a customer service representative reaches out, apologizes, and does something to make up for the inconvenience and lack of respect I experienced. I did not pay $400 to have my furniture broken, deal with rude people, and drop off a truck to only experience there was more issues.

The actual site is quite a mess. However, the truck was very clean and worked, staff was helpful and direct, no issues. They just need to clean the shop.

Place was closed! Had to leave vehicle in the street! Return area not marked!! Return process very tedious . Could not find drop box. Avoid this u haul location for pickup or drop off.

I went to this location first time. They were great.

Have another person assisting in the office, have the full amount of gas in the car to begin with (I had less gas than he said in the tank when we left, and he said that I didn't fill up a quarter of a tank. I might have had 24.5/100 full, but the tank wasn't as full as he had said, and he refused when looking at the image of the gauge that I had shown him.) It wasn't worth arguing over $8, but it was a pain and was not a pleasant experience. And the emergency brake for the truck was dangling and had to be maneuvered in order to drive away.

The location offers 24/7 drop off, but if you are returning a vehicle after hours, you need to park on the street. If you know that ahead of time it won't be so bad. However, there is nothing in the description, rental agreement, or drop off instructions to indicate the after hours street parking. That omission leaves customers in the lurch, causing a lot of confusion for both the customers themselves and the uhaul customer support staff, and making for a much longer and more frustrating drop off experience.

There is no app pickup, even though it is advertised as being available. There is a very small staff, so it took nearly an hour for me to pick up the truck.

Absolutely terrible experience. Clerk at this location did not allow online check in. Said it was first come first serve! Even if you had a reservation. I did the online check on while I was waiting and located my vehicle and got a contract. When I went to show the clerk. He did not honor the online check in, even though I was already confirmed with a contract and had paid online with my credit card. He then continued to cancel my reservation and give the vehicle to another customer. And have me wait in line for an hour. When it was finally my turn, he could not find my reservation, even though I showed it to him on my phone. He continued to call me a liar and that I had no reservation. I then had to contact U-Haul customer service, which took another hour giving me the run around because apparently my reservation was through another company. I was passed off and dropped from the phone calls multiple times. Eventually after calling back multiple times and finally getting a hold of the manager of the area, they gave me a truck. Absolutely terrible customer service from the clerk at location, he said out loud multiple times that he did not care about doing his job and that he hated it. U-Haul gave me a $50 refund for my troubles. But I don't know of I'll ever use them again.
