The app was very glitch. Took 2.5 hours to get truck with mobile app. App did not work properly . Pictures did not upload properly. Truck ramp was broken. Had many issues putting ramp in place. We had issues with the brake not working. Brake light turned on and went away then popped back on. Rented truck for 24 hours and the reaction changed to 16 hours. Then the reservation then moved locations 20 miles from reseved location. Arrived and the app took 2.5 hours to check in and get truck. Had to call customer service just to get keys. Very disappointed in the truck and app .Ravi P.
It took about 45 minutes for the person working the desk to check me in and get me to pay. She didn't know how to do it. The 45 minutes didn't even include me getting the trailer put into my car...claire R.

We picked up the truck and we specifically ordered a dolly and a dozen towels. When we picked up the rental neither were in the truck. I called customer service and was told I need to call around to local U hauls to see if anyone else's had the dolly and blankets?? All stores were closed in my area at 8am when we picked up the truck except for one that didn't have the items either. We were forced to start moving 2 hours later than expected. Which pushed my closing time on our new house. We finally got a dolly and a ripped open bag of blankets that only contained 5 blankets not 12 from a different location. I asked for a refund From customer service and was told no bc I got the items I needed. I was very disappointed with the customer service I received from u haul. You didn't have the items I paid for at the time I reserved them for almost a week in advance. I should not have to pay for your stores shortcomings. We had to pay our movers extra as we waisted over 2 hours of their time. We would like a refund for the dolly and the blankets. If the location is going to be changed, the renter needs to be made aware well in advance. If the pick up information is changed the renter needs to be informed. I am extremely upset with how everything happened today. I was confirmed for my location and pick up after it was changed without my knowledge, and then my truck wasn't even there. Once we arrive my app had automatically been changed to regular pick up not self service because the truck wasn't there. I was called the day before to confirm my truck, yet no truck which is ridiculous because i confirmed i was doing self pick up to the company on the phone. This set us back a lot and it was very inconvenient. We were up early, got there early, and it really messed stuff up for us. After my experience with U-Haul over all, it really makes me question if I want to do this again because I was on the phone with U-Haul at least 3-5 times within a 3 day period because of issues that shouldn't have ever happen! We are not happy about how it all went down at all! If I pick my pick up location, it shouldn't be changed last minute without my knowledge, and if I choose self pick up, it shouldn't be changed to regular last minute or without my knowledge. It was just one issue after another and we are not happy about it at allSarah E O.

I booked my reservation online and was informed to pay and pick up the vehicle as requested which was perfect. When I arrived the truck was there's we looked over note the mileag paid with my credit card however was not provided a receipt and was informed that this is normal that I would receive an email with receipt. I returned the truck on time we not d the mileage returned I was informed as would be charged for additional mileage beyond what I had expected it to be which was fine my card was charged I did receive an email receipt however it showed the out mileage at 81 miles more than what the out mileage on the truck was prior to my renting. I had also taken a picture of pith the out and return milag stopped by the location thy said it was an oversheigh and I would be credited. I have since stopped by the location twice and was told the owner was not in he would get back to me I am still waiting it hads been four days. I am disputing the charges on my credit card and oils bver rcomend uhaul to Anton moreover will put my wonderful experience on social media Uhaul is a scamCarl P.

The person on Franklin was very polite and professional. The only thing that I didn't like was that before 24 hours of my pick up and I get a call saying that the 10' foot that I reserved was not available anymore. I had to drive almost 1 hour from Orange, NJ to Franklin, NJ.Edwing A.

I requested a 10' truck 2 weeks prior and received a private and an auto "no return call" 2 days before pickup date letting me know "not available at their location" and referred me to location 35 miles away. I had no choice but to accept due to short notice (could not risk not finding an alternative company). I received receipt and U Haul did not deduct mileage usage for having to drive from the pickup location to where I needed to start my moving process 35 miles away! Very dissatisfied!Lorenzo L.

waited an hour and a half to be waited on. person in charge of renting equipment not on premises. person at the center did not know what she was doing. no dollies, hand trucks and moving blankets available. upon returning the truck was accosted by the owner of the building for trespassing. extremely unprofessional!!!!RICHARD L.

The location was fine. Pick up was quick. However, uhaul changed my pick up date without prior notification. I only found out that my pick up location was changed when i called to confirm the pick up time.Rohini C.
If a reservation is made on line, it seems like all the documents are completed and a simple ID verification should be required. By eliminating redundant paperwork required at pickul would speed the proces's and make it more enjoyable.Jason N.

Where I picked up was great. However was not very happy with uhaul themselves. Was informed at my pick that I have a balance. No one at uhaul bother to tell me when I made my reservation or when I paid the day before. They waited til I picked up and was told I could get it. I felt it was unprofessional. Then when I called to see what the issue was spoke to a Peter Worth who was the most rudest and nasty person of have ever met. He needs to be spoken to. Never rent from uhaul again and will inform my friends and family to do the same.Yvonne T.

When I picked up the Uhaul, I noted the miliage prior to departing. I used the truck for a total of 20 miles. Upon returning the vehicle I was advised that the pickup location did not enter in the beginning miliage, it was entered in as 0. I was assured that the issue would be taken care of, not to worry. Upon review of my receipt that was emailed, it showed that I was charged for a total of 25 miles. Five more miles than what was actually used. And to top it off, it was the mistake of the facility in which the truck was picked up from. The young man who assisted me at the pickup facility had to be called in from outside while I waited, when he came in to assist me he prominently smelled of marijuana. Perhaps that is why the miliage was entered in incorrectly and I was charged for services I had not used. Instead of the hassle of calling to complain in order to receive a refund of .89 cents per mile for 5 extra miles, perhaps a negative review will suffice.KELLY B.

My rental arrangement was messed up and almost denied because they mixed up my info with someone else. I lost an hour+ waiting to get my truck and the blankets that were promised me in the pre-arrangement were not available. The lady in charge did go out of her way to drive to another location and get the blankets I needed. This was appreciated, but again, I lost valuable time in the process.Tim W.

Well for starter I was charged for blankets and dolly which none werent received. But it started to go downhill with the hitch installed in Newburgh NY which was unsuccessful, it seem like they left the ball off the attempted installation.Migdalia H.
Have your merchandise REQUESTED by the custumer(s) available at the location the customer(s) walked in to. In my case I requested a 4x8 enclosed trailer, was told at the location I walked in to it would be available. I was told 2 days before my reservation it was at a different city/store, the day before my reservation I was told it was yet at another city/ location. I was told for A total of Four different locations where the trailer would be at. I did not get my 4x8 requested trailer, it was a 5x8. Then I had to wait 2 hours to fix computer glitches concerning the pricing. I was told a price but the final location gave me a MUCH Higher price!ANTHONY S.
