Ordered my trailer is the ocean side U-Haul. Was notified an hour and a half before pick up that my trailer was not there and that they did not have one major inconvenience they automatically switched me to the Vista store. They were very pleasant to work with. The person that I talk to the Oceanside store was short and rude to me on the phone. Could not believe that they did not transfer a trailer to the store in which I ordered from. Bad customer serviceTYLER A.

Send me to the correct location. Your email sent me to the wrong location that was closed. It was more than a half hour later that the folks at Vista Truck rental called me. They wondered why I wasn't there. I was on hold for quite some time with your customer service dept. trying to find out where to go. I just kept getting transferred. Nobody knew what happened or where to go. Vista Truck rental was great, Uhaul customer service, I would give no stars to if that were an option.JEFFERY B.

This location told me to fill up the tank to 1/4 I did that. Returned it and the claimed it was at 1/8th I've used u-haul 7 times in my life and this is the only time I've been charged an incorrect amount. I would never recommend this location.TONY V.

Truck was horrible. Drove really bad. Steering wheel was all messed up and flaking off. Dolly came off causing seal to break during driving when we didn't even use the dolly. Super old truck almost 200k miles. Probably won't rent again.Kristopher M.

I reserved a truck and tow dolly to move from CA to MN (before I drove my vehicle from MN to CA) at the Temecula U-Haul. After arriving CA and day before I was to pick up the equipment. I get a call from U-haul saying the Temecula location didn't have any equipment I reserved, but if I drive to Vista, CA, U-haul, I could get just the truck, as there was no tow dolly available in southern CA. I had to leave my vehicle in CA until I go back later to get it. Truck wasn't shiny new, but it could of used a wash. Checked the engine oil level at first gas stop after hearing a tappet/valve noise. Engine oil was a quart low â€¦ added oil and tapping sound stopped. Bottom line; if you don't have the equipment to rent just say so. Don't do a bait and switch.DAVID G.

Not related to this location specifically but I had reserved my truck 2 weeks in advance of needing it in Menifee, CA. I call the day before to confirm my reservation and they tell me that no truck is available but then magically there was one an hour south of me. This is unacceptable. If someone reserves a truck with ample time ahead of the when they need it, they expect it to be where they requested, not get told last minute that they have to drive an hour each way to pick it up.MATTHEW M.

I did not appreciate U-HAUL obstructing the cargo space with a dolly and bundle of pad that I did not request. The dolly was in the way, and I had a far better commercial dolly of my own! I was not able to put my last piece of large furniture in the truck, because the (useless-to-me) dolly used the space I needed!!! When I asked could they remove ithe dolly prior to my next rental, I was told, "NO".JAMES M.

The experience with getting multiple calls changing the pickup location, Then having to drive an hour away to pick up the truck is ridiculous. My reservation pickup time was pushed back multiple times even after I had a pickup guarantee. I also was told I will get a free day because of this issue. Come to find out they added another day to my order. I don't need more time I reserved the truck for the time I needed it. Over all the pickup experience sucks. I also was the one to ask what can be done because of the experience. the u-Haul reps that called never offered compensation. I still never received a credit for all the troubles. I was more than satisfied with this U-Haul dealer, they were polite, professional, and willing to do whatever it took to make this an easy experience. My only "complaint" would be with with the U-Haul app which requires a photo of the odometer and fuel level if returning after hours, it failed repeatedly to accept the photo. Lastly while the truck was clean, it had 186,xxx miles and in my opion a piece of junk. Both the steering and brakes were below acceptable and anyone without experience driving such a monstrosity would probably have either crashed or gotten a ticket when the cops assumed you're drunk swerving to keep it in the lane. Again in my opinion a truck of this size needs to be diesel, not gas for more than the benefit of power but for better fuel economy. I spent over $150 in gas for an in town move, and it just seemed like I was driving a 4 cylinder. Nothing against the actual local dealer, but please recommend putting this truck out to pasture.Carol H.
