Fuel tank was EMPTY !!!!!! Victoria Hill convenience store staff should stick to selling candy and stay-out of the Uhaul rental business. They even falsified the mileage (what the odometer reading was at MY start) for the their convenience expecting I should pay for this too. Any customer should always take TIME / DATE stamped photos (as I did) to prove mileage. Head Office Vancouver reconciled my billing appropriately "after the fact" recognizing the incompetent VICTORIA HILL MARKET staff. NEVER ever rent from this location. Uhaul is a great company but when they partner with 3rd party retailers, a customer is at the mercy of an honest 3rd party--which regrettably, I did not find/experience. Thankfully head-office made it right upon presentation of my TIME / DATE stamped photos.DARRELL F.
Truck was in horrible condition. Tires are near bald, kept getting stuck at intersections because they would not grip on wet concrete. Breaks also very loose, dangerous on city streets. Oil change and check engine warning lights on. Gas was half tank less then was indicated on my contract. This truck has no business being on the street and I am reporting to New Westminster Police.GREGORY A.
The dealer is non-responsive in answering phone or on site. Registered on line stating I wanted no insurance coverage. It was added on by the dealer with no communication or consent. What is the point of you acting as their agent to then be totally ignored and stated none of that applies since they say they are independent and can do as the please. I was way overcharged and want my due money back. Your system sucksDOUGLAS V.
Good experience over all. Some confusion when I arrived as my reservation wasn't in a system accessible to the one employee in the store. But I was impressed that with some phone calls and quick work, they managed to get me my rental close to the reservation time, so kudos for that. Great truck, good shape.Shawn O.
The only reason I would not recommend this location is because of the parking, most places have a parking spot for customer to leave their car and take the rental. Service was great, very helpful at the counterTuli H.

I don't think the truck is cleaned and sanitized after every rental .rented 2 times in two weeks both times lots of dust and dirt on dash and seats. .ronald B.

I booked online, the truck was not at the location that it said it was online, when I called to find the truck I had to go into the store and had a terrible experience with the staff. They where not going to give me the truck until I showed them all my information. I only booked online to AVOID this type of interaction as I did not want to expose myself to any people due to Covid concerns. The app let me book and said where and how and when to pick up the truck without actually going into the store. Instead I had to get into an verbal argument with the staff and was told at one point that they where going to cancel my reservation. Finally after arguing for 45 mins they gave me the keys to the vehicle. What a horrible process. Why say on your app the vehicle is waiting for me on the street at such location and enter all my id and information into the app only to then not find the truck at the location and have to go through a horrible experience with the staff in the store. When I came back to drop off the vehicle again the app said take photos of the odometer, condition and gas ect... and to drop keys off in box outside the store.. there was no box outside the store so I went in to give them the keys and they made me go back to the truck with them and show them the odometre and condition of truck, why have the app ask me to do this and then have the store do something for the second time complete opposite???? what a joke the staff actually said I had to move the vehicle again after I had signed off on the app and showed it to her that I needed to move it to an different parking spot. I walked away at this point to avoid having another heated argument. I said i was not moving it becuase I was not responsible for it any more since I put info on the app where and how it was left already. The staff said she couldnt move the vehicle cause she didnt have a drivers license. not my problem so I left. I will never ever ever again use your services UHAUL I will never use your app your franchise at victoria hill will never get my buisness again and I will never trust your app or feel comfortable again to interact with staff representing you. I was treated terribly, I felt like I had done something wrong when all I did was follow the instructions that uhaul gave me when i reserved. the staff at victoria hill store where rude, speaking in a different langauge infront of me when I was trying to speak with them, when I said this is rediculous what was happening I got berated by the staff saying that I was being rediculous. I practially had to beg them to give me the truck keys. I was an hour late by this point and was so upset. Once again you need to have clear expectations on the app that you send to people the vehicle was hidden in an underground parking spot about .5 kms from where it was said on the app it was located, I had to beg the staff for keys and provide them with all my information and credit card info again although i already had confrimation that I could pick up the vehicle without actually going into the store. The staff hid the vehicle so that they could "Vet" who was acutally renting it i feel, they where rude and treated me horribly, I didn't feel very good when they where speaking in a different langauge infront of me and to say that they where going to cancel my vehicle becuase I was questioning them why i had to provide them with everyting again even though I had confrimation from the app that I could pick up the vehicle from the street. what a horrible sevice, terrible customer service and when i tried to call uhaul at the time from the location to see what the hell was going on i was on hold for more than 30 mins and hung up. I am so dissapointed with this interaction and I will not recomend uhaul or use uhaul ever again.nicole M.
