Close down this place. Employees are morons. Was given a truck I had to turn around and return because it was for someone else, second truck broke down a mile down the road, no brakes or strearing. Could’ve been killed along with my daughter. Ridiculous.

I asked for a supervisor to please call me regarding my experience and no one has so that just goes along with the nightmare we had trying to rent a truck for a few hours use. Terrible!!!!!!

The truck performance was awful. It took forever to accelerate, the steering was terrible requiring a lot of over correcting making driving it dangerous.

Overall not impressed. Customer service was friendly, but wanted smaller truck and had to rent bigger one. Was looking for bags for mattress and no one was sure. See where I can get charged for cleaning truck and truck cab and box were dirty and had to clean it to move my personal stuff. (Box looked like a junk hauler just did a clean out and used it.) Understand the equipment is old . That is ok.

Bad weather was coming in on the day I was scheduled to pick up the trailer. The manager came in on Sunday when the shop was closed to give the trailer a day early. Exceptional customer support!

It was the worst experience ever the truck wasnt even ready to be rented my dad had to clean the snow off it and then when he tried to pull it out to leave there was so much snow around it that it was stuck took about 15 min before getting it out. Also the gas tank they had 3/4 put down on paper but it was not 3/4 i toook a picture. And when i called to explain how it was very un professional and i wanted discount he gave me attitude about it. Very rude people never again.

As i was on my two-hour trip to Oswego where I was to pick up my u-haul truck, I received a phone call from the pick up location saying that my truck was not available. There was no other truck there for me to use and I would have to drive to Watertown in order to pick one up. Because this was the only day my family had available to move our mother, you can imagine my frustration. What was most infuriating was as I expressed I absolutely needed a truck that day, the man responded there was nothing he could do for me. I called the 800 u-haul number where the apathy toward my situation continued. From them I was told i had to drive to Central Square where I might be able to get a 26 foot truck (i only ordered a 10 foot), I was offered the 26 foot truck for the same price as the 10. But gas was a bigger expense, the inconvenience put us three hours behind on our already very long journey, and not one person expressed any real concern for what was a very bad situation for my family. I was given a small credit, but not nearly sufficient for the added hours, money and inconvenience. Not one-haul person took responsibility for this problem. Additionally, the 800 number contact person was quite rude as I expressed my frustration. Unfortunately, my family inconvenienced many people as a result of this issue. Thank you for your time.

Trailer had surge brakes. Checked reservoir & it was almost empty. Put correct fluid in. Put over 1000 miles on trailer & checked fluid level often. Level remained near full. The pull out ramp on the right had been replaced & worked fine. The pull out ramp on the left should be replaced as it was a 2 man job to get it back into trailer.

My preferred location was changed to 20 miles away from my home two days before i was to pick it up. I had to give gas money to get two people to meet me at the location as i wasn't allowed to leave my car there and needed someone to drive my car home. When i picked up the truck i was given a set of keys, got in the truck ready to leave and was flagged down by the man as he gave me the wrong truck. He then got the keys to the 10' truck which was disgusting. The cab smelled like garbage was in it. The floor and dashboard were filthy. I took several photos of the inside of the truck. The steering wheel and cup holder were sticky. I had to wash them when i got home so i could drive it the next day for two hours with my daughters stuff in it. i went back in the location and let him know it was awful and I would not be responsible for a dirty truck and his comment was "what do you want me to do, the paperwork is already done". When I returned the vehicle, the man i talked to was very sympathetic and advised he would contact someone regarding this as I didn't want to be responsible for the truck still being gross. . I took pictures of the dashboard for the mileage when I started and when I returned it. I had also taken a photo of the confirmation when I first reserved it which proved to be a good idea because when i reserved it they allowed me up to 163 miles from my requested location. When they changed my preferred location they reduced the amount of "included" mileage to 140 and didn't even mention it. So not only did they want me to drive 40 miles further to get the truck and take it home they reduce the number of miles included in the price. My final mileage fell within the 163 so I floored when I looked at my account and was charged more money. I called UHaul and talked to Theresa. I felt she handled my complaint very professionally and really cared about my experience. She put in for a refund on the extra mileage plus suggested an additional credit. I heard back pretty quickly from a regional manager allowing the credit for the additional mileage but nothing more. I will email him back letting him know I should not of had to go to these extremes for the service I should of gotten out of the gate. Not sure the final outcome but i highly suggest you take all precautions when using U-Haul in taking photos and documenting everything that happens as I feel it helped me in this case.
