Check brakes and transmission more regularly Ensure employee knows contracts well enough to explain terms without constant interuptions from outside vendors such as “skip the dishes” there should be a separate kiosk for rentals that is not being interrupted. Train employees to be computer literate or hire someone who is..this would make the pick up process much quicker.

The van was dirty. The seats had what looked like dog hair. The floors were dirty. The van smelled like marijuana. The vents didn't work properly for the heat…the heat would only come out by the windshield but atleast it had heat.

We filled the gas tank to the level requested with before and after pictures and was charged an extra 20. The picture was identical. A staff member agreed but her boss who was on the phone argued and I was charged the difference because the original contract said there was a quarter of a tank but the before picture that I was advised to take with the odometer reading did not indicate that.

I picked up 15ft moving truck and when i got home and parked it the passenger door key lock was hanging out . That truck was broken into in the past ..thank god I have camera's in my property. When i looked closer to it . Inside the box needed to be swept out . It was running a little ruff like it the tranny was slipping or the intow was going on and off. The gas bar attendant didnt know what he was doing he called his boss . The boss helped him and said i owed 276.00 but i already paid 153 and change. I refused. I picked up the truck sat afternoon and returned sunday around 5pm . I will never go back to them again.

the wait time to get a van was long and longer when returning it. The fan smelled of manure and leaked water, also had a loud wind leak which made the highway drive less than fun. only 24000kms on the fan and it felt like 400000km van.

The main uhaul computer site seems difficult to use at the location and advised them that my rental was not did not match my drivers license. I have rented previously without these problems . Not sure why this occurs .

I paid 30.00 worth of gas only travelled 10 kilometres spent 30 minutes trying to recoup some money but they refused .when a costumer returns a vehicle they should make sure it's filled properly. Not by circulating asheet a paper as it does not accureyly mark how full it is it's a cheer sheet only .I'm so pissed off with the service ten miles 30.00 I'm going to Facebook it till I recoup money lost

When I showed up for my rental I was told that the truck hadn't returned yet and therefore I may not get one. They had five other trucks in there space. I asked if I could have a larger truck and he flat out said no. Then he said well you can have this truck which was a very small truck and I said fine. As I was going to leave he said make sure you're back by 3:00 p.m. and I said well that's not going to work I have a move to do. Well it has to be back by 3:00 p.m. he states. So of course my move did not get finished I had to make three trips because the truck was so small and I didn't even get the dolly that I asked for in order to move several boxes. I was also told when I returned that it has to be clean so not only did I rent a truck I had to clean the truck upon return. I will never rent from U-Haul again I'm absolutely disgusted! Ambed was the main person I worked. He was professional, efficient and delivered the best customer service that I can't recall enjoying in such a very long time. I also talk with other person(s) when some of my circumstances changed and also were very responsive to my needs. I have never rented from UHaul before. I highly recommend UHaul and the team at this location.

It was my first experience with U-Haul. The gentleman at Ultramar was excellent. He made the process so easy and straightforward. I certainly would rent from that location if I need a vehicle again.

the attendant stopped helping me check in each time someone else walked in. made the process unneccessarily long and had to repeat steps multiple times. very disrespectful "service". I felt ignored. Like sure, I'll just stand here and wait...again, and again, and again. Happened at least 6 times.

Make sure the customer knows when you change their pick up location. You cost me an hour of time and made me late for my timings for the day. It's extremely poor I wasn't notified. I was told I would be called the day before pick up to confirm.

Was not the location I chose when booking well in advance so had to detour to pick up vehicle then took over 30 minutes to receive the key and process the pick up reservation even though all info was given during booking on line. Pick up was a gas station/convenience store with 1 person doing all and all uhaul related things didn't seem to be working and the worker was having difficulty processing my reservation.

Customers using the online check-in should be aware that, after uploading selfie and license photos, they may need to provide name and phone number of a contact who can verify their identity and who would be available to receive a call from UHaul. This was not part of the online help video we watched in advance. Also, our rental wasn't even onsite at the reserved time. Thankfully the gentleman inside Ultramar was an excellent problem solver.

The man that was working when I picked my truck up was very nice but the man every time that has been working when I've returned my truck is very rude he gets on his computer says excuse me I got to you got to wait I have a customers for my store as you're standing there as well as he completely ignores you go down to his computer then he turns around and he gets a piece of paper out and says oh you owe me this doesn't show you anything doesn't give you anything certainly disgusting without man I paid $50 for gas I asked how much gas I needed to put in it I didn't get an answer then I find out I put 25 he would not call head office to clarify anything for me I had to go outside and stand in the freezing cold and do it myself unfortunately I was disconnected four times I finally I got frustrated and called the cab and got on the phone with someone where I had to wait a half an hour to be transferred to be dealt with and I'm waiting on a return call as is this is now Tuesday and I return my truck Sunday for a correct exact amount of what I owe because at 89 cents a kilometer compared to the dollar 43 he's trying to charge me as well as I don't believe the kilometers add up properly and that was my dispute but he wouldn't let me see anything or read anything closed it out closed it off and give it to the next guy didn't expect the truck didn't clean the truck didn't do anything just push me out of the way basically and he didn't even he didn't do anything when I left either he gave me more than one price he gave me was 1,000 even the next price when I went back in with 900 and something was outraged at his behavior towards me I have been a customer as well as my boyfriend work company between me my boyfriend and the company he works for were constantly renting vehicles from U-Haul and this is not the first time the second time this is the third time I've been treated with other disrespect in respects to the one Occurrence at the Glenhaven Motel yes we were giving out $50 reimbursement which was very kind of you but at the same time wasn't nearly what the other guy got that was standing beside me nor was it fair amount in my case and in my opinion my phone number is 226-374-9508 I'm still waiting on a response please get a hold of me thank you as well as my boyfriend's phone number is 22 6-926-2165 between those two phone numbers please feel free to look up how many rentals we've done in the last year thank you and don't feel that I'm being disrespectful to your company or not I'm being disrespectful for the variety stores and gas stations that are running your company for you not U-Haul themselves the women and the men that I have talked to always are kind courteous and amazing to deal with

The number of furniture pads was less than purchased, the wiper blades were TOTALLY shot and were a safety hazard, useless! Engine oil was low and cab was quite dirty. I want some form of adjustment to my bill.

Exhaust leak, cab wasn't as clean as you would expect. When I returned truck attendant said “are you going to clean the truck” (the box). I said I swept the box. No issue after. But when all signs in the box say return swept then what else do you expect. Just being picky on a truck that isn't that clean anyhow.

The truck was damaged and dirty and they don't tell you when they ask how far you will be travelling that they measure distance in miles not kilometres. This is Canada people will assume distance is measured in kilometres. So my bill was way more than I had budgeted for. Shady practices like that won't get repeat customers

When we returned our vehicle we were advised that we had not put enough gas in the vehicle. We had taken a picture prior to departing (time stamped) that showed their records of how much gas was in the vehicle was wrong. The van had been returned late- 12:15 and we had it rented for 12 and the clerk did not check the gas line. We provided proof and the clerk told my husband that he was lying about the amount of gas that was in the truck before we left. He made us put more fuel in- basically it cost us $30 in gas to drive 17 km. He is well aware of how much gas we put it as it was his gas station. Once he realized that we were correct he refused to apologize and said we had to take it up with uhaul.

Improve customer service. The location I selected for pick up was changed, adding an extra hour of travel time to our move. None of the moving supplies I ordered were delivered with the truck. When I arrived at the location for 8am to do Mobil pick up I was told they had not set up for mobile pick up, so I would have to wait until 9am when the location opened to get the truck. As a result of all these changes I had to start our move nearly 2 hours later than the original planned start time. I will not be using U-Haul in the future.
