The clerk was very helpful, polite and professional but extremely busy. Since this location is at a gas station, the clerk has to service the U Haul customers along with everyone coming to the store for gas etc. This made the pickup and drop off take more than half an hour each time, and that was using the self check in. Good experience but lengthy check in / out at no fault of the employee.

To my taste, truck was not clean. Also had discrepancy in charge, shall I have not complained, they wanted me to pay double of what I had been told and agreed to. I was told $30 + $0.89 X km + fuel + taxes, that would be $96 + fuel, they wanted me to pay $176. I had waved insurance. System was not working in the morning, I had to wait almost an hour for the operator to attempt three times through their laptop. Never had issues in renting a U-HAL, not a first time loaner. I'd not rent at this location again.

i made a reservation quite some time ago for a truck in london november 27 @ 9:00 am pick up. as i am leaving windsor to get on the train i am called and told my truck was not available to be picked up at that time and was now 1:30 pm in st. thomas. this is crap and cost my extra money for uber to st thomas and then they charge me extra mileage after adding distance to my trip. i will never use u haul again and am disgusted by the way this all worked out. you cost me extra money . why reserve something only to have it more or less worthless. you guys screwed me over and added much stress to a trip that was supposed to be stress free. thanks for nothing

The truck box was not swept out at the time of pickup. Also, the staff charged me for the furniture pads that I had ordered, then when I checked the truck for them and found them missing, told me that they didn't have any and would not contact the next local U-Haul to arrange pickup of the 12 pads I needed. I had to look up and phone the other U-Haul explain that I had been charged, enquire if the other location had furniture pads that I could use and pick them up myself. The staff at the initial rental location changed the drop off location without telling me and said that the mileage didn't matter, it was just and estimation and that a little more or less wouldn't matter...I was charged for the 2 miles I was over. This is exceptionally petty considering the screw up with the pads and the extra 5-10 km I had to travel to pick up said pads. That being said... The uhaul at 16 Sunset Dr. in St. Thomas (where I eventually got furniture pads) was excellent, very accommodating and very professional.

I was showed on the paper that the fuel tank is half. When I sat in the truck I saw it's less than half. I then took a picture and drove off to finish my move. I came back told the franchise about it they said you should have told us earlier and that they will take half tank. Sounds like a scam. Anyways the truck was also damaged and the bumper had a bug crack and the franchise clearly forgot to mention that to me. I guess hoping to scam another customer for insurance claim.

The attendant who helped us was fine and just did his job. I am not happy with uHaul services in general. I do not like that you cannot change the drop off location if your plans change. In the past I had been able to use an alternate drop off location. The truck smelled like marijuana. (Again not a reflection of the worker. He cannot control this.) The overall fee was close to what I paid a private service to move my entire house when this time we were just moving a couch. I likely will not use uHaul again very soon in my future.

After getting to destination, opened back door and it smelled like the user before transported cannabis, The Smell was overpowering, Should have been air out at least. It didn't appear to be wipe down in the cab, I would assume this would be covid protocol. At the time of return, the tenant was told of my issues, and came into the back of the uhaul with me, and stated he could not smell anything at all. My moving helper also confirmed that the smell was strong. As i was using the vehicle to transport an item for a bedroom, I didn't want the material to absorb the nasty smell left behind.

I lost my wallet and called this location to see if they found it when the cleaned the cab. He told me the truck was already gone and asked me to call the 1800 number. This leaves me with the impression that they don't actually clean the cab, as I called the next morning. I was happy up to this point, now I feel like they are not keeping up with civid protocols, and with new baby and 4 yr old. This is not acceptable.

I used the truck for a very small distance. I took a picture of the fuel guage prior and after. I showed the gentlemen how the furl guage never moved and ask if i still needed to top it up or is it fine. He said "nono its fine your good to go". He charged me fees for not topping up fuel ..... i was not impressed. I would not recommend this location.

Took almost an hour to rent and just about as long to return. System wouldn't accept payment. Took several tries. Staff kept asking us to step aside so they could serve other customers for their variety store and gas pumps. Not impressed at all!!!

I paid for 6 blankets and only got 2. Ever time I tried to phone this location I always got a recorded message. Passenger door wouldn't open properly because of a big dent in the fender. The front window was so dirty it was dangerous to drive as I couldn't see properly. I had to stop at a gas station to clean it inside and out. The rental process sends out too many emails which is really confusing.

I had requested a dolly - which I really needed last night and when I arrived the clerk told me "We don't have that here. Is that okay?" It wasn't okay but what was I supposed to do? I ended up having to drive the U-Haul to a local rental shop to get the dolly. Why even put them as an option when I'm ordering if you don't have them?

From the initial chat with reps at Ultramar to online booking to changing from van to truck through toll free number, to confirming everything again with Ultramar staff to truck pickup & return. Truck was clean and performed as expected.

Truck interior was not clean, used Kleenex in the door, stains and stickiness on seat and steering wheel. Lots of dust/dirt on the dash. Back was not swept out & full of dirt & animal hair. Had to sweep out myself. Not usually this unclean, should have been better with covid. Would be nice to see a refund from uhaul.

The truck pickup online experience was a little frustrating. It took a while to verify me and I still had to wait in line when I got into the store. There was someone renting a truck the old way in front of me and it took forever. All I needed was the key. The site said I could skip the line but that was not offered or allowed when I asked. The truck itself was good!

Equipment was very clean and the rep let me know all had been sanitized. Left turn signal did not work. I think as on my way and head office had just called him and he had to call to let me know. Should this not have been told and figured out earlier? The rep was excellent!

Sweep out the truck if the previous renter leaves it dirty. Include the right equipment as requested on the order. If someone chooses to pick up the truck using the app, they shouldn't have to enter the store at all. I've done an after hours pickup using the app before and never had to see anyone.

When I went in to get the key, the website said to skip the line and let the uhaul representative know I was there for the key. I waited in line, and when it was my turn I showed him the screen and said I was there for the key. He put me to the side and helped every person who had come in, and was continuing to come in, behind me. After the 4th person I mentioned I needed to go and required the key and he told me his priority was the petrol business and I would have to wait. It was fairly frustrating as I was already behind schedule by 30 min due to my original reservation not being met at a different location.

First of all the Cargo Van I had asked for did not show up in time for 9:am pickup. Got the bigger one for the same price, no problem here. I was disappointed with the upkeep of the vehicle, not clean as it should have been in our covid times. Front window dirty, steering wheel felt sticky overall interior clean very poor. will not rent again from U-Haul.

1. I booked online and RESERVED a 15' truck. 2. I printed the 15' truck reservation and brought to the location on Oct.2/2020. 3. The staff member of the Ultramar Gas station said that the online reservation stated we had booked a 26' truck. He initially did not acknowledge my printed reservation that I showed him, insisting that the computer system was telling him we had been reserved a 26' truck. That is incorrect and I have proof (including time/date screen shots) of booking a 15' truck, in addition to the printed 15' truck reservation. He had stated that the existing 15' truck was available, yet already booked for someone else. 4. We did NOT want a 26' truck, as that size truck would not even fit in the either the moving from, or moving to address driveways. 5. He suggested we call UHAUL and complain to get the issue sorted out. That is NOT my job - that is his(Your job). 6. Thus, he finally called on our behalf and gave us the 15' truck that was there. ----------------------------- You obviously have ONLINE reservation problems and need to pass this information along to your IT department. You also have training problems, as the employee at the Pick Up location took quite awhile to get the issue sorted out, with an over reliance on faulty online booking information. I will be passing this information along where I see fit. Very unprofessional and frankly a big waste of time.

The van rented was filthy and moving a loveseat and chair got very dirty moving. Should of been cleaned and deodorized as it stunk bad. Also this rental was set up online to be a remote pickup by my son with my wife setting this up. The location insisted on a credit card be used even though a credit card was used in setting up online and she had to drive in from London to bring her credit card in for them to use. What's the point in setting a rental up online if they make it so difficult to make the pickup.
