We were waiting (along with 10-15 other people) in line for more than an hour. The store was scheduled to open at 9AM but they didn't open until after 10AM. This is very unacceptable especially for a Sunday; This was the only day out of the week I could move, but because of the delay we had to hurry and rush our work. Upon pickup, there was only one staff member present, so the process took too much time. He was great, but the location was short staffed. When I returned the van, I looked around for a staff member, and someone honked. It turned out a staff member was sitting in a pickup truck and honked at me to get my attention. 1-This was not location I reserved van at, but 2.5 miles away. No notice sent informing me pickup and dropoff location changed until I tried picking up. Glad I wasn't pressed for time 2 - Van had considerable body damage that was NOT reflected in the original pictures on the equipment condition verification web page. Spent 20 minutes going over the van documenting the damage and submitting to the page. Experience concerned me that I was being set up to pay for damage previously done. 3 - Charged $25 cleaning fee for dog hair in cab on return. Daughter's dog is white and sheds a lot, she had on clothes. I returned van 2.5 hours before end of reservation. Isn't light cleaning part of normal between customer maintenance? Employees at this facility did not seem above board. Person in front of me given van different than one on his online contract because shift leader couldn't find keys to that van. He returned to report discrepancy in mileage before he left and she told him not to worry. Wonder if he was overcharged. While I waited for my return inspection to be completed, overheard shift lead quietly reprimanding other employee for giving family members corporate discount and not reporting damage done to the vehicle when they accepted the return. Wonder if that's why my van had so much damage unreported. Will not rent from this facility againSteven P.
this manager at this location actually reported this U-Haul as stolen without any fair warning I understand that I overstayed my contract but it was very unprofessional to utilize U-Haul all the time I tried to make a payment to bring the contract current and she refused to take my paymentSHAYNANCY T.
There was only one person working the counter which slowed down picking up considerably. The drop off app is absolutely horrible. I am likely to not use uhaul again after spending 45 trying to make the app work. I would take a picture to show the mileage and condition then a few minutes later the app would tell me the picture is too old. I had problems using it with my iphone and my wife's android.David G.

Systems were shut down and we allowed a customer to use our truck due to her not being able to sign in. Upon returning the vehicle we were told we would not get charged for the late return and extra miles. We ended up getting charged for both and I've now had 3 separate charges to my card from uhaul even after being told it would be no charge for the extra work we had done.Shanice V.

When we had medical issues in the family I called in and asked if I could extend the rental period for a couple days and I was rudely told that this would be impossible. Furthermore, if I did not get the trailer back on time uhaul would call in and report it stolen. She said, in a very arrogant manner, that I needed to read my contract. I have since done so and there is no mention of this - it does stipulate that if the trailer is returned to another location the rate would be doubled. She could have told me this. This employee needs customer relations training! There are plenty of other locations with which I may deal in the future.Jim G.

We were given a truck that was not in working order- all of the lights came on the dash and stayed on, and when we brought it to the worker's attention they stated â€œoh, I must have missed thatâ€. This is unsafe practice and we were then told we were â€œluckyâ€ that they happened to have one truck of that size still available to switch it out with. Despite not having the van I reserved and having to take a pickup truck instead, the young man working there did an excellent job. He appeared to be working alone (he said someone quit the day before) so he was helping everyone and answering the phones too. I didn't catch his name, but his birthday is September 2 ) one day from mine) which he noted when he saw my license. You are lucky to have such a great employee. My Experience: 1, Location for truck was changed at last minute and I went to original location, I did not receive an email with the change. 2. The truck had serious dents in the driver's door. It wouldn't seal completely when closed. Wind noise was like having the window open on the interstate, Steering was very loose and well out of alignment. I had to constantly move the steering wheel an eighth to quarter turn to drive a straight line. 2. Windshield had several chips and a large crack on passenger side 3. The engine warning light came on after 35 miles of driving. I had about 20 miles to go. Gauges remained within normal range and the assist manager said to bring it back to the location when done with truck. 4. I had reserved an appliance dolly. My reservation location was changed and there was no dolly available. I had serious challenges moving freezer and large chests of drawers without the dolly. Staff were very pleasant and professional but unable to provide a better truck or a dolly.Robert C.

The gas was not full. I showed the manager a photo. The manager (I presume) told me it was â€˜probably less than a gallon from being full' so (words to the effect of) cope with it. It was between 1/8 and 1/16 under. Clearly she was very much not interested (she was vaguely talking to one of her staff). There was oil on the floor in the back of the truck. Both my wife and I nearly slipped on it carrying stuff. Not a great experience. Shame - usually they do better.TOM W.

I picked up a 20ft truck and a car hauler on a Sunday afternoon. It was snowing and cold. The 2 young gentleman couldnt have been more helpful! They helped me every step including putting my car on the trailer. Made sure my Baby was safe to travel behind the truck. They guys were funny, nice and gave customer service an A plus. My rental was less than a hour late. I called 2 hours prior to advise them it would be a little late and asked to extend the time. I was told I would be charged for a full day of $49.95 and to return it the next morning. I advised the employee that I had to work the next morning, so it would be returned today, a little after the rental was due. Once there, around 1:30pm, I asked the employee would I be charged for a full day when it's only 1 hour after drop off, and she stated "oh you should have called and let me know". I advised her I did call and I spoke with her. She said "oh yeah you did call. It's automatic and I can't change it. I would if I could". Things come up that are out of our personal control and I feel like I shouldn't be penalized when I gave notice.Danyell C.

We are very unhappy with the U-Haul service we received on Tuesday 1-25-22. I did the online registration so that I would only have to go inside for the furniture pads and lock. Instead, I was in there for 30 minutes because they couldn't open up my registration. Then the truck they gave me the motor has a loud sound. I drove it 3 blocks and had to go back to change the truck. They wasted about 30-40 minutes and I had my movers waiting a half hour which I was charged for. That half hour they could've been packing the truck. U-Haul should reimburse me for my wasted time in the office and the lost of my time to move out of the apartment. I paid $218 for the rental on Tuesday and now I see pending in my account another $120. Why are they charging me more money? I was told I could have the truck until Thursday and I returned in on Wednesday 1-26-22. This was the worse I have ever experienced with U-Haul. The first time we used it everything went well. I am unhappy and I am looking for some kind of reimbursement from your company. Also, that $120 charge from Reston VA needs to be credited back to my account. I hope to hear from you soon on what your next step will be thanks.Philomena D.
