People at location were good. My issue with UHaul is they changed my pick up location the day before causing me to travel 75 min each direction vs 15 min. Seems like to keep your promise to me someone at uhaul should have drove truck to original pick up spot.Don C.

The man that rented me the truck was confusing about the amount of time I could keep the rental. He told me I had 24 hours. I had the truck for 10 hours when the man called me, and with a rude tone, bullied me and told me I had to have the truck back by 7 AM, an hour and a half earlier than when I was originally told. I called scheduling and none of this was true. I ended up extending my rental time over the phone in the morning with no problem. Moving is already so stressful. Thinking I needed to get the truck back early added to that stress, and he did it for no reason. However I should add, when I returned the truck, the other employees at this location were nice and professional.ANDREA I.

The cab smelled overwhelmingly like smoke (or smokers). We traveled much of the time for over 1,100 miles with windows down to breathe through the smoke smell. There were several empty water bottles behind the driver seat, and unopen pudding cups ready to burst from the heat. We were only given 12 blankets instead of 24, but the office closed as we drove off. Also, U-Haul folks, those trucks pay themselves, and handsomely...why on heavens do they not have GPS, nor a rear view camera. Phones and radios can only catch tunes in certain areas - cd players may be an old thing, but one on the dashboard would keep people awake!!! A 3 day trip without upbeat music while bouncing around on a noisy, smelly truck makes for a hard journey.KIRT B.

We had to go to this site because they didn't have a truck for us as reserved at the Federal Way location. The agent had made a mistake on booked our truck for the wrong day. When we got to the Sea Tac location, the general manager didn't apologize for the inconvenience caused by the agent's error. Rather, he said "they should have called me" and wasn't very friendly. He got a little better once we agreed to buy the insurance. Maybe he gets a bonus for that??JILL L.

Replace the manager. Walked in to get my van, told him I had a reservation. He asked for my name and was like oh you just reserved it. Then said â€œyou guysâ€ to which I asked what he meant and he said â€œyou rentersâ€. I felt like I was putting him out by renting a vehicle from a rental location. Completely put me off. To be clear, I would only recommend u-haul to people making in-town trips. If they were to ask about making trips going over 50 miles, I would not recommend u-haul, as the equipment isn't meant for, or good with, long-distance trips.Victoria E.

When I booked the truck I asked if he could transport two passengers with the driver with seatbelts. I was told yes. The middle seat belt was missing a female receptacle. This is in violation of DOT laws, end of state and federal laws. Not having a seatbelt for all passengers is a safety risk and could result in a ticket for the driver if not all passengers have their seatbelt secured while the vehicle is in motion. This truck should have been inspected both before and after every use. A illegal and dangerous truck without working seatbelts SHOULD NOT be on the road until after this critical safety defect has been fixed. This is very bad!MARK S.

I understand the U-Haul closes at 8 and I arrived at 755 to return a rental truck. The person helping me (David) complained that be would not be getting off of work in time. I don't want to ruin anyone's day, but I really do not want to pay for exorbitant parking fees for a U-Haul truck in Seattle. David was very rude and unpleasantCynthia F.
This location is busy and only the manager was available. She even admitted she needed to hire more people to every customer in the store at that moment. Then, the manager was going to charge us the first months rent in which I told her we would be getting one month free because that's what it reservation was supposed to include. Customer service even told my husband that this location has a unit available and the first month would be free. She then tells me, "I don't participate in that. Because I'm so small here, I don't participate in that." I went back to the car to tell my husband who was watching our 5 month old who was sleeping. He goes in to talk to her and began to tell her that we were told we would get one month free of storage and that her sign in the front even says one month free rent. The manager says that she has to put that on her sign which is FALSE ADVERTISING! Then the manager finally asked if we had a certificate. My husband grabs the certificate from the car and then the manager says we can get one month free. It is my fault I wasn't prepared with the certificate but also the manager could've asked me and I would've remembered and got it myself. Horrible experience.Kendra J. | First Impressions
