I've dealt with Uhaul in the past but this staff has been the best I've ever dealt with. And this is not the first time. Last year they were outstanding as well

Did not have my correct email address & after staff changed it, they STILL had the incorrect information a month later. 2. Put a lock on my unit without notice, stating I was overdue with my payment, suggesting I did not leave a card on file for auto pay, then had the audacity to charge a late fee. 3. Continued to call me and ask if I was "ready to move in" a MONTH" after I had moved in. 4. Staff was rude, unprofessional and not knowledgeable about services. 5. Office hours not conducive for working professionals. I arrived at 4:45 for assistance and staff rushed me out the door because they closed at 5:00pm. We're redirecting me to the "app" which is not user friendly or helpful. Be warned. It's overpriced, not enough dolly's, and plenty of other storage units nearby that are newer, updated, cheaper with way friendlier staff!

Basically had "Not" Even 1 ft Clearance on both of the sides. I used to Deliver furniture, in a Big trunk (like Ur's) & I "Barely" made it through, without "Hitting" either side of trunk. Jay MI would absolutely NOT recommend Uhaul as a whole to ANYONE! I reserved then paid for a van using the app. Took 2 hours to get through the process online because the app wasn't detecting my correct location. Finally got through the process just to be given a van that wasn't in the parking lot. Furthermore the keys the i got out of the box after entering the passcode i was given was for a totally different van than what was listed on my reservation. So i took pictures uploaded them to the app telling uhaul to correct the van listed on my reservation to match the one they actually gave me. I ended up needing the van for an additional day so i extended via the app and the van listed was still incorrect so i again took pictures uploaded them to the app telling uhaul to correct the van listed on my reservation to match the one they actually gave me. Well THIS WASN'T DONE because on my way to unload the van i was pulled over by half of the palm bay police department pointing Ak-47s at me screaming at me to stop in the middle of the road and exit the vehicle. I was then handcuffed and placed into the back of a police car. At which time i was informed that the van i was given had been reported stolen! I explained to the officer that I did NOT STEAL ANYTHING I paid to rent this van and had proof of it as well as proof i informed uhaul that i was given a different van than what was listed on my reservation all of which was on my phone. After 4 hours almost 2 of which i spent in handcuffs in the back of a police car that had the heat blasting trying to explain to the officer this clusterfuck of a situation. Finally after showing proof i paid to rent the van i was unhandcuffed but then was told i had to remove all my belongings out of the van and find a ride because someone from uhaul would be coming to get the van THAT I PAID FOR. However that someone from uhaul wasn't able to find a driver so they allowed me to keep the van and said to just return it per my reservation which ended the next day at 10pm. So I then had to reload all of my belongings BACK into the van and was finally able to finish heading to my destination after being delayed 4 HOURS due to someones clerical error. Furthermore I was told that all charges would be refunded due to the situation I was put in because of uhauls mistake but I'm still waiting for almost $100 in charges from uhaul to be refunded. This incident has caused me so much stress and anxiety you would think the least uhaul would be willing to do is give me my money back after this. I won't ever rent from uhaul again.

Patricia DB109 did experience some some moisture thru the outside wall. I had several boxes that had water damage. Several Large wardrobe boxes had water marks about a foot up. And all the furniture had mold and mildew on them.. there is a crack on the floor not sure if that where the moisture came in from or the outside wall. I would be sure to put a moisture block in that unit.

I was very upset because I had found mold all over everything in my unit. She was understanding and explained what I should do. It did not end there, the day continued with things just not going right Tarren, was there to answer all my questions and help me get through my day. It was a very stressful day and your general manager help make it as easy as it could be she went above and beyond and made a horrible experience much more pleasurable! I am still not happy that everything has mold over all over it and hopefully I can get some assistance with that.

When I got to the site they didn't have the truck I reserved even though I booked the reservation over a week in advance so I had to be transferred to another location. The transfer didn't work properly so instead of ensuring I had a vehicle, I was told to go and "attempt to figure it out using the app" which again was not functional. Went to the new location, pressed the innercom system for assistance as instructed and found it was broken and hasn't been working for a while now (explained by the employee after we found one). Finally got in contact with an employee after waiting for about 2 hours for someone to come help. The employees themselves were helpful but seemed just as aggravated as myself and about 3 other customers were with the service itself. Would not recommend uhaul as this is my third awful experience with uhaul in a row, and will never be using uhaul again in the future.
Cameron C2nd floor units suck. Maze like halls are way to narrow.. No lock inside as advertised. Luckily I had my own. Place is closed on a FRIDAY, WHY??? Couldntuse my one month free storage coupon and pulling a trailer inside the compound is challenging to say the least. Thank god for the internet rental, or I'd be out of luck on friday when I pulled up. If you pull in with a trailer and there's nobody there and you cant do the on line thing, good luck getting out.

Ray FThis was the 2nd time I rented from this U-haul location. Both instances I experienced long wait times even though there were more employees than customers in the store. While I waited to be helped this last time, the manager spent at least 10 minutes cleaning a white board instead of coming out and helping with the customers that were waiting. I was told the vehicle had a full tank of gas, which I verified before I left the store. During my rental, I drove a total of 21 miles. Per the agreement, I had to return the vehicle with a full tank of gas. I did just that, but it took a total of 5 gallons of gas to fill. So with driving 21 miles, and not pulling any trailer, the fuel mileage was 4 miles/gal. With the gas receipt in hand, I brought this to the attention of the store manager. His response was he couldn't do anything and sorry about your luck. I just ask for equitable compensation, but received nothing.
Robert JThere weren't clear instructions on where the equipment was located. Couldn't find the van I rented. I was on hold on the phone for 30 minutes waiting to speak with a representative. I inquired about the reservation guarantee policy as I was unable to start my rental for an hour, alone in the location at 7:30PM looking for the van I was supposed to picked up; the representative told me it wouldn't apply in my case. I wasn't able to start my 730PM rental until an hour later. Lost time due to unclear instructions on where the equipment was located.

We had reserved a storage unit which was explained to us it was second floor, street accessible and climate controlled for $59.95. When we finally were waited on ( an hour after we arrived) we were told our unit was on the second floor but was stairs only accessible. We needed elevator accessible which we learned was $10 more per month. Once we entered our unit there was a rodent trap inside. We would like that removed. With this experience we were not happy. The only saving grace was that the employee who checked us in was very friendly.

The CSR at the location tried their best to assist. But I was still sent to another location. The next location was able to complete the process. Turns out the price provided in the online order process was not what my final invoice was. I was sent back to the original location to p/u the vehicle. (insult to injury) I was given the wrong lockbox combination and had to get further assistance to obtain the vehicle key. I wasted almost an hour of my time before I finally got out of the p/u location. The return process was nondescript but more efficient.

ROBERT B | First ImpressionsI used the app for both pick up and drop off.It was difficult to use because it would not accept my photos of myself or license on pick up, and the pictures of the fuel level and mileage on drop off without any indication of what I needed to do to make them acceptable. I ended up giving up on the drop off (I suspect that was because the fuel level decal was right over the screen) and simply dropped the keys in the key drop. Also on the pickup, the lockbox what the keys were was so rusted that it took me many minutes to get into it.

It was climatized, and the temperature was always regulated, no matter the heat or cold outside the building. My only complaint is that the unit itself had no interior light, which the manager pointed out during my initial tour, and who commented it was only one of a handful of units without standalone internal illumination. I found the pricing very reasonable, and have already recommended the facility to folks looking for storage, and will continue to recommend it when the opportunities arise.

Wtf Also the van stated it had no damage anywhere but as I looked it over it had stickers where they had marked damage on it from a previous incident in three different places.

Advertised on the Uhaul website and listed on the reservation contract even is that there are elevators and carts for use. Turns out these items are in all the storage buildings EXCEPT the one given to me. With my disability, there was no chance I could accept the unit. Staff was helpful and resolved the problem, but it took four hours to resolve. I almost spent as much time trying to get a storage unit as I did driving from Chicago!! Also, the unit I finally got is about 5 feet off the ground. They should put a notice so folks are aware. I had NO idea what I would find when I arrived and anything that was advertised just gave a completely wrong impression of the place.

Andrea RThis place always seems so disorganized. In order to save time I reserved online for a van and three pads to safely separate my expensive moving pieces. It still was a twenty minute process between getting there (there was only one person ahead of me) and leaving. When I got to the destination the belongings I had to be moved I didn't have my pads to safely separate my items. When I returned the van I asked for a credit. I'll wait to see if the credit ever arrives on my statement. Second time renting from this location. No other choices in the area so what to do?????
john sNot a comment for the facility or the vehicle itself but I found the truck share rental process to be unnecessarily complicated. It should not have taken me 20 minutes to navigate through the rental process when I'm at the location at 6:30 in the evening and it is dark... It felt like geochaching where I had to follow a set of elaborate clues to get from one step to the next.... It delayed me wholly unnecessarily. There has got to be a way to streamline that. Otherwise, I found the concept and rental situation as a whole to be pretty neat.

Jason FThe storage facility was very clean even thou there are NO trash cans any where … BUT there was a MAJOR ROACH problem in the surrounding areas & you could see them crawling into my unit!! Your cleaning/worker lady was very very nice but unfortunately getting rid of the roaches while I'm leaving is difficult & expensive for US! We had to spray bomb the Uhaul & my trailer & once boxes were in garage & furniture in house we've had to spray bomb the whole house 3 times …. Praying that works!! There needs to be a better means of y'all getting access/fines/evictions to "neighbors" who are storing food items that are attracting ROACHES & creating this problem. It should cost them, not their Goodwill neighbors!! Unfortunately they, once again, are the problem, and the reason for this bad review. Ending on a good note, Staff was very nice & helpful but way over worked. Give them a RAISE!!
Chance R | Overall ExperienceRoaches 🪳 paid for dumpster to be unlocked and it wasn’t ever and never was reimbursed at all I was charged for a month rent when I closed the account out and took my lock off I was never contacted at all back about reimbursement for the roaches that came in another’s unit and was so bad they where crawling all over the walls and floor when the tenants open there locker do not use this place u will be upset when u have to throw your stuff away due to poor conditions due to pest that u have no control over at all avoid at all cost seek other arrangements

Joy K | Overall ExperienceThis is the 2nd weekend in a row we have used the self-serve option at this location. The first weekend-cannot check in on the app to retrieve the van. Go to the office and the office has not been trained on self-serve procedures and they cannot help us or get a rental. Literally, wasted well over an hour and got nothing. This weekend we again were told we had to do the self-serve option-same scenario. The office staff was finally able to help us by calling the other Uhaul down the street and have someone walk her through the renting of the van via her office computer. Once again another hour wasted. Finally get the van and climb in only to find that the miles on our electronic print out rental agreement don't match the odometer (and this matters since you charge 80 cents a mile)-so back to the office we go. We do not fault your office staff at all for these issues. She was friendly and helpful but clearly was not trained on the procedure. But the staff clearly needs more training of what to do when your self-service options do not work. We truly wasted more time both weeks messing around with the rental problems then the amount of time we needed to rent the van.

The van that was available had different mileage and fuel level, which made it impossible to check in. The only assistance was to call the 800# and wait extended time, >30-45 minutes and then they had no clue. Thank goodness a human was in the office of whom gave me the key and instructed me to take the van. Multiple attempts were made to reach the posted cell phones of the owner and manager. After 20+ minutes, the owner texted that someone from traffic dept would contact me. Traffic called about 30 minutes later and I was placed on hold another 30 minutes. It was very chaotic, unproductive and a frustrating process. When returning the vehicle, it was pouring rain, once again the mobile app wasn't working and thank goodness the lady that wasn't supposed to be there to check people in or out was there to assist and witness the disaster. My advice…rent from a staffed location as this was a horrible experience. I should have believed the reviews online.

Upon arriving in May, I was informed that my unit was not available because I didn't not leave a deposit. I was told I could've left the deposit when I called. Why wasn't I informed of that option? I was stuck renting a larger unit for more money. Finding the unit was not easy and there was no one at the actual location to help. I never received an invoice online, but did receive one after my payment was overdue. When we went to empty the unit, there was a lock on it because it was "unpaid" after my husband settled the bill, the only person working stated he couldn't leave the office to remove the lock. I rented this unit to store my daughters dorm stuff and encountered issues from day 1. I cannot imagine the runaround my daughter would've gotten had she been there alone. The unit itself was clean and had more room then we required but I will be looking into another location/ facility when her semester ends. I have used Uhaul services frequently at other locations with no issues but this one was unpleasant and unprofessional from start to finish.
Zoraida N | Overall ExperienceThis morning I spoke with the manager of your US1 store in Melbourne, Fl in regards of a pending debit of $137.00 shown on my PNC bank statement. My account had previously been debited by Uhaul in the amount of 212.00, which I understood. After going back and forth for what seemed like forever - with your manager talking over me while I was attempting to speak - he finally told me that the charge would be erased from my account within a 4 day period. That's all I needed to hear, but what I got was about 10 minutes of pedantic, confrontational nonsense from an individual who clearly was more interested in hearing himself talk than actually LISTENING TO THE CUSTOMER. This was the same guy who on Wednesday was doing everything BUT waiting on customers who were lined up 6 deep waiting to pick up their vehicles. This guy is hopelessly miscast working in a customer focused, service business.

I also had a very bad experience reserving and renting a 26 ft. truck, I contracted corporate office and spoke to a U-Haul employee that wrote up a report and told me that I would be contacted by a supervisor in the corporate office within 72 hours it's been well over 72 hours and I have not received any call back!
