The staff in this location was so helpful and very friendly. I was pleasantly surprised to find the van I rented immaculate! This is the first time that I have rented from this particular location, but it will certainly not be the last! No parking available for customers, so we had to make the process literally running because others customers were complaining. 1 customer went to buy 4 small boxes and he parked in front of the building causing a situation. The Uhaul staff have to deal with extra situations because of that. The person who helped me was very nice and knowledgeable. However, I felt bad for her that she was the only one working. She had no help. After I had gotten there, more people walked in and she was also getting phone calls. Everyone could have been helped faster had there been at least one or two other people. Personally, I'm not a fan of doing everything online myself. Not sure if this is at every U-Haul location. Two years ago when I moved, it was not like this. I feel much better actually going through the process with a worker to make sure everything is ready and correct. Location wise, it's close to the apartment I'm moving out of it, so that's nice. But the main building to get assistance at and the actual location of the trucks is such a far walk. After finding the truck and checking if all the equipment was there because I had to finish the check out process online, I found that two out of three dollies I rented weren't in the back of the truck. When I clicked "no", the dollies weren't there during the online check out process, a message appeared saying I had to go get assistance. This made me have to walk all the way back to the main building, and yet there was a small building right there by the trucks that another employee could've been at for assistance. But since there was only one person running the entire place, I was left walking that distance to the main building. Also, it's odd that the keys are picked up in a locked box with a padlock at the small, empty building by the trucks. Again, it would've felt better to have an employee help out and hand me the keys physically In the end, my friend who was helping me drove up to the main building in the truck to grab the missing dollies. But overall, I felt this process could've gone a lot faster and smoother had check out been done at the desk with an employee helping me and not having me essentially do the job myself online. Other than that, at the end of the day, the move happened and we actually managed to return the truck a little earlier than scheduled.Marco T.

I rent about 15 to 20 trucks a year. This by far was the worst location. They forced me to use the website to log it to get my truck. Which took over 30 min . The site crashed 3 times. The guy just looked at me like oh well I can't help you. This was by far my worst experience at any uhaul. Bring back real people not an app. Will not use this location again. Received a text saying that uhaul was going to call me. Never heard from them. This is a horrible way to run a business.Geraldine R.

Why does everything have to be done through smart phones and apps? What happened to the customer service that kept me coming back to uhaul all these years? I do not like the new system. Being charged to have a person handle the return? Instead I have to use my own time and phone to take pictures and note locations. I used uhaul because getting the insurance meant I didn't have to worry and could drop off the vehicle and be met with a smile as I handed off the keys. Last uhaul rental for me.Douglas I.

Had an absolute terrible experience booking. The store insisted that they were unable to book through their system and forced us to use the app, which had so many complications and errors despite me being a previous customer! After 20 minutes we finally got our van. The van itself was fine, clean enough. Returning the van we had another nightmare using the app to perform the return. The app crashed mid return, preventing me from taking photos. We got charged what we were told was correct, but the app showed a receipt of over $100 what we should of been charged! When we brought it to the counter we had no empathy or any kind of positive reassurance. They simply stated â€œno it isn't correctâ€ and printed me out an alternate receipt and a card to call if â€œwe feel we need toâ€. It all seemed like it was just to get us out of there. This is the last time I'll use U-Haul for anything, the push to the app model if the store isn't lying and their inability or lack of care to do anything for the customer is appalling. The quality of service has gone down so much over the years at every location i've visited.Ryan M.

Poor customer service. When attempting to pick up my reservation staff said they couldn't help me and that I had to use the app to check out my vehicle. Witch was not an option once I downloaded and signed up for the uhaul app. Service rep was frustraited that I couldn't complete the checkout on my phone. Returning the vehicle staff avoided me and immediately told me to self check in through the app. Instead of helping customers they where sitting in the golf cart blocking traffic in and out of the parking lot. I would only suggest that renters be given the suggestion to totally seal boxes, including hand holes when moving in. No matter how much effort is taken by management, the units are outside so bugs and even mice can gain access. I had a really poor experience with U-Haul. I had to move from Nashville to Boston and rented a ten foot truck. The location I originally selected in nashville to pick up the truck got changed to another location in nashville. This wouldn’t be a huge deal for a lot of people but i could only pick up the truck after office hours at night and the location that I picked is much safer (well lit, location, etc) compared to the location U-Haul changed it to. When I went to go pick up the truck it was dark out and the parking lot was super dark and there were four or five lingering men hanging out around the truck. I wasn’t safe. Then, I had to do the online check in to actually get the truck and the U-Haul website And the app were not working. I was out there by myself in the dark for thirty minutes waiting for the site to work as Im trying to not draw any attention to myself. But Im an alone woman in a parking lot so of course it got the mens attention. I was worried about my safety. Not okay. Eventually I get the truck and make the drive to Boston. I reserved a storage unit when I booked my truck and had a reservation number for the storage unit. I get to U-Haul storage And they say I don’t have a reservation. I pull up my reservation confirmation And the number and they say it’s not a reservation. Oh….my bad….I thought me paying $200 for storage and the email header of “your storage unit is reserved” means I had a storage unit. Also- when I go to drop off my truck the app and website (you guessed it!) werenot working again. I’m a 27 year old who knows how to operate technology. I don’t know how anyone in my parents generation would be able to trouble shoot this if they were in my shoes with the truck rental. your online systems absolutely suck. I won’t use U-Haul again and won’t recommend it. That stinks for you guys because all my friends are moving! Over all good place to rent a storage unit. The thing that is missing is the access to the dumpster. I was not allowed to put any of my broken down cardboard boxes and swept up items after move out into the dumpster. So I was left to cart it out myself.John M B. | Overall Experience
