KATHLEEN CDamaris D. at our rental location was outstanding, and exceptionally nice. The mobile app was horrible. We returned our rental truck after hours and it took over 45 minutes to get it straightened out. I will never use that app again. This is the second time I've tried to use it and it is always a problem. I'm done with the U-Haul app.
THOMAS OMike was SO patient with me when I made a bunch of mistakes booking my reservation online. Next time I'm just gonna go directly into the location to book!

MANUEL MSept 29 I went to pickup my 2 reserved cargo vans for my business. And when I went to pick them up, the location cancel one of the reservations. I don't understand why they cancel this when I made the reservations a month ahead of time. The location try to tell me that the regional office told them to cancel it. This really upset me cause I received a call from Michelle the scheduling rep from the regional office last week asking if I meant to reserve 2 vans and when I return the call I told the Michelle yes I needed 2. Michelle confirmed that she would have 2 available. Also I was not given a call that they canceled one of my vans if they would have called I would have had the problem fixed before arriving at the location. So Sept 29 morning I had to go to a different location in order to get a van cause I could not wait until 9 am when the Manchester CT west location opened. I also was stuck for 45 minutes on the phone with truck share to get me an available van to rent. I have done business with uhaul for 4-5 years now and I wish to maintenance using uhaul but I cannot have a van that I reserved canceled on me cause this is for business use and I have customers who rely on me. Hope in the future I don't experience this again when I reserve 2 vans.
Christina SCouple lottle things… the mirrors were so loose they wouldn’t stay in place which was dangerous and seems like that should be part of a basic safety check, additionally, requiring an emergency contact to pick up immediately early on a Sunday morning is ridiculous.
CARL BPoor app design. No service at location. Took far too long to check in and pick up the truck because I was forced to change from in person pick up to contactless through the app.

KATHERINE MWhat a nightmare using the mobile to rent a truck all probably for cost cutting, there's nothing convenient about it, this is so that the top guy just makes more money after all why hire people when you can push the customer to do most of the work in a app. While I was there there was a lady stuck on the other side of the fence asking me if there was anyone that could help her. I will never again rent from this location and definitely will not recommend it to anyone. And to top it all off you call for customer service and while waiting try to have you download the app has if their customer service is busy with other customers, ok right it happen once but never again.

JONATHAN KUpon rental pickup of the truck I had difficulty leaving with the truck through the gate. Pressed the intercom button multiple times and had to wait 5-10 mins before staff responded because they were busy. For future truck rental customers the staff should provide instructions and be alert to the gate button.
RICHARD OTrailer was in poor condition and did not look maintained. Straps looked frayed. At this location, uhaul employee put trailer on my truck and I asked to verify. She said no need its fine. Trailer came off of truck. Wasn't latched properly. I called roadside, the guy came out and was told I had a flat tire and came with no tools. (Unbelievable since I talked with roadside about what happened) I ended up figuring out how to reattach my loaded trailer with my personal car jack. Would tell people to steer clear of this location.

Josh SOver the years I have used U-Haul many times and it's very convenient because it's down the street from where I live. There's only one thing I find very tedious is all the paperwork you have to go through just to get a truck and or storage.

Bill G | Overall ExperienceI called to set up my truck and storage reservations and told the associate Oakland street when I get to the storage with a truck full of stuff and movers that I only had for 3 hours I find out they booked me the wrong location instantly got frustrated annoyed and aggravated I would like to thank the associate that calm me down and made me realize everything is fixable I think the associate name was Cesar did a great job transferring me and finding something to move my stuff in so little time turned my experience from negative to positive

No matter how much effort is taken by management, the units are outside so bugs and even mice can gain access. Other than that, no issues with water or other storage problems.

It would be so much helpful to every customer if we were able to do move our storage out and be charged for the days that we use. I heard storage units can be prorated if a customer is using the unit against company's policy, but to know a customer can't use that option doesn't make sense.

So, I am essentially giving a $202.00 donation to UHaul storage for not using the unit and am asked to give a review??? Beyond disgusting!!

Michico C | Overall ExperienceI had a really poor experience with U-Haul. I had to move from Nashville to Boston and rented a ten foot truck. The location I originally selected in nashville to pick up the truck got changed to another location in nashville. This wouldn't be a huge deal for a lot of people but i could only pick up the truck after office hours at night and the location that I picked is much safer (well lit, location, etc) compared to the location U-Haul changed it to. When I went to go pick up the truck it was dark out and the parking lot was super dark and there were four or five lingering men hanging out around the truck. I wasn't safe. Then, I had to do the online check in to actually get the truck and the U-Haul website And the app were not working. I was out there by myself in the dark for thirty minutes waiting for the site to work as Im trying to not draw any attention to myself. But Im an alone woman in a parking lot so of course it got the mens attention. I was worried about my safety. Not okay. Eventually I get the truck and make the drive to Boston. I reserved a storage unit when I booked my truck and had a reservation number for the storage unit. I get to U-Haul storage And they say I don't have a reservation. I pull up my reservation confirmation And the number and they say it's not a reservation. Oh….my bad….I thought me paying $200 for storage and the email header of "your storage unit is reserved" means I had a storage unit. Also- when I go to drop off my truck the app and website (you guessed it!) werenot working again. I'm a 27 year old who knows how to operate technology. I don't know how anyone in my parents generation would be able to trouble shoot this if they were in my shoes with the truck rental. your online systems absolutely suck. I won't use U-Haul again and won't recommend it. That stinks for you guys because all my friends are moving! Definitely not worth the $800 I spent…especially when my safety was threatened.
