The equipment was mostly clean and well maintained. To go the extra step, I would suggest wiping down the interior. There were some spider webs and an slight oily film on the floor. Nothing that bothered us, but might if someone was transporting something that was not properly sealed. The trailer had several dents, but was structurally intact. It was adequate for our needs.

Unfortunatley, I was supposed to rent at the Gibralter location but there computers were down. so I had to take it upon myself to scramble to find another truck at another location. You would think a business would help a customer do this. I had planned my work day. around renting this vehicle

The online automated services has a lot of flaws that need to be updated or fixed. Too many glitches. Also the reservation process lately has been misleading. I've been bounced around from place to place to find a truck that was supposed to be reserved at a closer location but ended up costing me time and money. I've also been questioning my final bill. I'm beginning to question your integrity. But most of all your customer service personally and locally, online, and over the phone is a joke. If I ever am able to speak with someone they always pass the buck. Frustrating.

My overall experience was ok but there were several occasions I went to retrieve items from my storage and could not because there were cars parked in front of my unit.

We had originally planned to use U-boxes and pick them up. Upon arrival and seeing the boxes we decided against using them. The personnel there was very professional and helped us in renting a truck there and helping us with telephone numbers to find a storage facility to use since they had none available. We were extremely satisfied with the service provided.

the office in Jackson staff (Emmanuel) was very rude .The drop off location had relocated to Jackson Ms. I called Emmanuel and he told me to get there the best way i could. I told he i was from out of state he then replied what do you want me to do. I then called corporate office to convey all i was going. they politely gave me the address to get there.

I was transferred to another location without a call or anything letting me know that i had been moved to a store 30 min. From my house. The my appt got changed from 11:30 pm to 6:30 p.m. (it was 7:00 pm when i got the notification.) Then after sitting on hold for 24 minutes To get my reservation back, they forgot my dolly. So i had to wait until the next morning to move my large items and waste gas to drive back up there. I disputed the charges and no one ever called me back.

One thing that caused confusion and a call to the customer care center; on the website I reserved a “10 foot truck”, but the rep I spoke to the day before pickup kept telling me I rented a “van”. Well, after extra calls and much distress, in the U-Haul store I realized on the signage board, everything was called a “van” regardless of length or size. I’d suggest making the vocabulary uniform to avoid so much chaos and confusion. I had flown from over 1000 miles and was not prepared for the “mixup” that never has to happen. In the end it was worked out to our satisfaction.

The location and services rendered were good. However, the reservation process was not good. I reserved a 26' van, but when I called to confirm it (the day before the move) I was told that only a 17' van was available. The smaller size, resulted in multiple trips which also resulted in more mileage.

Please do not believe the advertised $19.95 per day. I rented a pickup truck for 2 hours and it cost me $65.30 after they added all the additional fees. I left feeling totally ripped off.

This location needs more office help. The mechanics were doing the office work and mechanic work both. They had UPS, Fed Ex as well as oil change and U Haul. Asking too much of the guys.

Shay Jones was absolutely wonderful! She made everything so simple and was super sweet. Had everything ready on such a short notice. Smith Marine has flooded, but instead of calling me, I had to discover that Conestoga Road was flooded. Smith Marine failed miserably in not calling me. But I will return to see Shay Jones off of Highway 80 in Jackson for the next trip. Thank God for Shay Jones!

Trailer hitch connection was in very good condition ( not all rusty ) but the ratchet straps are always in bad condition and hard to use this one was not bad but could’ve been better . Steve.

When I arrived (please check the video of my entrance), one employee was eating breakfast at the front desk, the lady representative was doing something else, taking her time to address me as I walked in. I was at the counter for a while before she decided to come back to see what I wanted (check the video).... She told me it was a truck that they was a new truck, but it had 1070 miles on it already... I left with the vehicle, picked up furniture in two locations, delivered junk to City Dump... At no time did anyone pull in behind the vehicle (the trailer was attached the entire time, check the time on the vehicle which shows trailer attached and I never disconnected it. When I returned the vehicle I was told to logout using the uhaul.com/share method which was a problem because it wasn't user friendly, before I could check out on the uhaul.com/share app she replied that she would log it out, then at that moment she ask what happened, me and the other two riders asked her what was she talking about? she said someone hit us and we immediately told her that couldn't have been possible because we never detached the trailer. She then tells me my balance is $257 and I told her I didn't have that on my card and that the dent was already there. NO ONE NEVER CAME BEHIND US DURING THE RENTAL. To tell me that a dent that if you are not really really looking you wouldn't even see it, but she came directly to the dent and we were all like what dent are you talking about. I HAVE RENTED CONSISTENTLY FROM UHAUL OVER THE LAST 4 YEARS AND I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM OF ANY SORT. I NORMALLY GO TO THE NORTHVIEW BRANCH AND I WISH I WOULD HAVE. THIS DENT IS NOT MY FAULT!!!

Make sure reservation information is already in place (if done online or via telephone). Store representative should not have to do all the information over again if a reservation had already been completed. That takes up more time from someone else possibly renting or picking up or returning a vehicle.

The morning to take truck back they are calling to ask if it can be returned early asking many questions. Took truck back early and was overcharged after showing paperwork.

I’m dissatisfied because I returned your equipment about an hour or less after I used it on 03/02/19 and I still have not received my refund from the deposit. I called on 03/05/19 and was told to wait up to 5 days. When I called today I was told my account had not even been closed out. When I returned the equipment on that same day, i went back into the store and was told I didn’t need to do anything else, I was good. I have limited funds and need my refund ASAP. It’s not much but it’s mine and a help to me.

I was rented a truck and told it was okay to return to any location but found out as I returned it that it wasn’t a one way rental. It was the lady’s first day and she even said she didn’t know what she was doing. I confirmed with another guy that got the truck for me and he gave the same information. I had to argue the information until I was believed. I will not be recommending U-Haul for a while. Unprofessional service and bad business.

There was a minor issue. We needed two (2) utility dollies. We had a hard time securing one (1). Three (3) locations in the area were checked and no one had any. When I called to see about securing the dollies via Customer Service, the National customer service representative, I did not get her name, was OUTSTANDING! However, when I was directed to the regional customer service representative for the Jackson, MS area, her service was sub-par. ( I was not able to get her name as she ended the call.

Booked my appointment online. Received an email the day before pickup stating that they had changed my pickup time. The lady on the phone, Teresa, was rude, unconcerned, and unhelpful. When I told her that I had booked movers to be there at my original reservation time, she said there was nothing she could do, and said I should call them back to reschedule. When I got there, the lady at the counter told me that since you had picked the mobile option, she could have picked it up anytime. Teresa wasn’t even aware of that fact.

Climate control units do have problems with pest such as rats or mice. There are traps inside the units and there were rat dropping’s on my stuff.

Yes the facility was clean but you all have rats. When I moved my things out 1 ran out of one of my containers. I did not store any type of food. If you all get rid of the rats it would be great.
