Manager is a tool. Rented a car dolly that didn't work.. told them what car I was needing to tow. Brought it right back.. customer service said that they could do a refund/ credit. Truck didn't run real well and brakes could use some work. Staff messed up my reservation multiple times, did not have equipment I had reserved available when I arrived (moving blankets), he said he just gave the last ones out. Was delighted to open the truck to find a bag that claimed to have 6 blankets but then discovered it only had 4. Broke a very large, very sentimental mirror because we didn't have the packing materials that were supposed to be reserved for protecting this item. And, I'd been led to believe that my first 30 miles were included with the truck rental but then found out that was only with one way. Also, one way is more expensive(?) Truck looked different than the truck in the pic on the online checkout. Staff doesn't seem to know what they're doing. I was very confused and stressed out during this whole transaction.Charlotte D.
This was the first time since you guys switched over to email links to assess condition of the equipment before rental. The person at the location was very worried about efficiency, part of what I'm paying for is service / time. He had no tolerance for when I ask any questions and seem to have very little time to spend on this transaction. When I was checking out the equipment and before I use the email link since it was my first time doing it this way I asked him if he knew that the running lights were not working he told me â€œif you feel unsafe taking it out, it's the only equipment we haveâ€. I replied, I was more worried about the fact that they(uhaul) might try to charge me for the damage. My first visit to the birthplace of U-Haul and probably be my last. PS: I carry a class A license, It's not about if I feel safe using the equipment it's about if it is safe to use the equipment.Tommy E.

Do not lose the yard commander at 87th and Foster. He is Outstanding across the board in all categories. Top drawer work ethic; knows his stuff; cool under fire Notices and shares things that will improve your vehicles performance with trailer in tow. I have 50 years of retail management under my wings and I could not equal your yard commander. Top to bottom a quality manager and very nice man. Uhaul will be hard pressed to retain him. I dropped the trailer off, albeit a day late on Sunday, but when the invoice was sent the next day I noticed I was charged for 2 late days as if I dropped it off on Monday. I was already 200mi away when I was supposedly charged for dropping it off?KIMBERLY C.
This location was very busy and the two gentlemen helping the customers were amazing. They were literally running to take care of everyone. They had great attitudes, answered all the questions thoroughly and didn't make anyone feel like they were being rushed through. Fire Rolando the GM. The most disrespectful person I have ever come into contact with. He literally talked shit about me on the phone IN FRONT OF ME AND OTHER CUSTOMERS IN THE STORE because his own employees didn't properly check in the auto-transport when I returned it. I had a customer service person from Uhaul on the phone with me. She heard everything. Listen to all calls in relation to my reservation for more information. Ultimately, fire this piece of shit person. Rolando, you fucking suck and I should get a full refund solely based on your pathetic "customer service". I will never use Uhaul ever again. I made my reservation much closer to my house and everything went through. Then I got a call saying there was no van for me there and I had to go to a much further location. This was frustrating that I was expected to pay all of the extra gas and miles to go significantly further then I had asked for and been approved for. So perhaps if people have to move locations because of availability they shouldn't have to pay moreRebecca S.

Very handy location and well organized. Check-out fast and easy. Trailer very good condition except hitch continually banging on the freeway. Return after hours could not be completed due to not being able to scan return code at the location. Phoned toll free number to get assistance and after 30-40 min wait the phone agent was able to get it accomplished with photos I sent. 5 stars for her! Codes for scanning should be tested before posted for use.KEITH V.
Returning here was easy and convenient. The agent didn't know that I had an extra day allowed due to the big screwup at the beginning, but was very helpful as soon as I showed him my copy of the contract. Why wouldn't Uhaul notify the drop off location of the extra day? That's how crappy they are to their customers and their dealers!Daniel N.

The person receiving my rental tried to tell me that I was returning the equipment to the wrong location, that it belonged to the place I rented it from and had to return it there. I specifically rented the equipment for a one-way trip. Maybe the U-Haul system screwed it up, maybe it was the guy on the other end. But that doesn't matter. What matters is that the receiver was rude about it. Obviously if his company makes a mistake it's theirs, not mine. He shouldn't be deriding me about it. I always have trouble getting the vehicle I reserved due to some error, an inconsistent error at that. And some times my deposit return takes minutes other times it takes days. Which in this circumstance is especially upsetting considering the rental I was stuck with was almost twice the price as the one I originally reserved. I use U-Haul for my business and rent at least monthly, but this last few experiences have me hesitant to use U-Haul in the future.Colt B.

We had a reservation to pick up a trailer on a certain date and time. After arriving, the manager informed us that the trailer had not been returned by the previous renter and we were just out of luck. The manager was rude, used foul language and overall wasn't helpful. By not getting the trailer in time, it messed up all of our moving plans. Very disappointed in overall experience. Furthermore, I have tried to call this specific location and the general UHaul number over 7 times and have never been able to talk to anyone for help.GEOFFREY RYAN P.

I booked a 1 day rental weeks in advance and called a week prior to confirm. When i arrived i was told they only had trucks that needed to leave on one way trips the next morning which could therefore not be given to me. I questioned why those reservations were more important than mine and eventually they gave me the truck, implying that the person the next would not have a truck when they arrived the next morning. It ended up working fine for me, but left me with the understanding that I could not trust reservations. It would have been horrible if i had no gotten my truck as I had been dropped off and had movers arriving soon.Benjamin W.

Had a 20 percent off coupon used it online, when I went to pick up the truck they said they don't accept them. They said they don't know why people even bother with it. The per mile charge was double that of your competitors. The truck had a hole in the roof. Overall the people were rude and the truck was a worn out piece of junk. It seems short-staffed at the end of and beginningnof the month. The staff have to really hustle, dealing with lines of customers, issues with moving trucks/vans, stressed-out customers. As an educator, I view this as a difficult work environment for staff. Part of what they do is educate the public on the trucks, storage, policies, etc., as well as solve problems. They do the best they can, but you need to staff the office with more people during peak times.I've found them to be extremely helpful and kind, but the stress they work under is obvious to any customer walking in the door.
