The storage area definitely needs more lighting for whenever you make nighttime visits to pick up your stuff. The staff however, is extremely not helpful. I had a unit that I needed to get into so I could move stuff out of it because I was moving and I wasn’t able to open the lock because the lock had been changed without my knowledge, when I went to the office to seek assistance from the manager, he told me that he would order a locksmith to arrive and help us open the lock because he did not have key and the locksmith never showed up. When I tried to call the office back. I spoke to someone who told me the manager would be able to assist and when I informed the staff manager that I had already been in contact with the manager, they told me there was nothing else that they could do , so now I have a unit that I can access and still has not been able to access due to my lock being changed and again I was never notified, or even given a reason why I only found out because I showed up to get my stuff. I would not recommend U-Haul to another person and even if I did recommend U-Haul I would tell them to steer clear of the location on Apache Boulevard in Tempe Arizona.

Been there for about 3 years and unfortunately I wasn’t aware that the storage unit had holes that allowed water and dust to come in and ruin some furniture, cloth and other things. And the heat as well didn’t help.

The only real major issue was that it's not a 24-hour location, and when I would try to show up at 11:00 p.m. in order to get some items far after work, because I work in a research lab, the gates would be locked and the person who would be on site wouldn't help.

I Rented 2 units here over the last 2 years. up until recently, they completely advertised 24hr access, and at one point charged me EXTRA for it, but I never was able to access after 10pm. The inconvenient and misleading hours are the reason I left

Marcus and the polite young man that helped me with my gate code are both national treasures. One might feel that the use of nationasl treasure is a little much and i say to that youve never rented a trailer or a storage unit from uhaul on apache boulevard. truly a life fullfing and affirming experence. i once met lal jeet singh, international man of mystery and a popular musician in india, and that experance now falls 2 places on my list of best life experiences. if i had the choice of meeting the son of doctor camron of project mk ultra fame or rent a unit at this uhaul id definitly be getting a complementory lock to protect my cherished valuables.

Everything was fine until my "emergency contact" received a "past due" billing statement for me (and I also received one) ONE WEEK after my free month ended. Today (just two weeks after my free month ended) I received a "pre-lien" email which I can only imagine was probably also mailed to him. An "emergency contact" is someone you call when I have a medical condition -- or perhaps call to locate me if I skip out on the space. Neither was the case and I did NOT give permission for him to receive my billing invoices, nor was I notified this would happen. When you do this, you give the emergency contact the impression they are responsible for my bill that it's implied I am skipping out on. This was not the case; what a breach of privacy and unethical conduct.

When I rented this unit, I told the guy I needed 24 hour access. at the time there were signs outside saying 24 hour access, the website says 24 hour access and even my paperwork says 24 hour access. They told me I would have to pay extra for that, which I gladly did, unfortunately the after hours access would never work for me. I NEED 24 hour access for my work equipment, which is why im moving out of that unit. great facility otherwise, but making me pay $10 a month for access I dont even have is why im giving 1 star

The woman that works there toom a pic of me sitting on a couch i just moved into my storage and sat down on it after and because i was tired from moving it and they evicted me 2 days after i moved in and just paid for it and then told me i didnt get a refund because i couldnt move the couch into the dumpster because it was locked so this place is a scam

Website says its 24/7 access, google says its 24/7 access. The sign on the front door literally says 24/7 access. When i signed for the unit, they said it would cost an extra $10/month for 24/7 access. Kinda messed up, but whatever. Then i go to drop off my equipment after a long day of work and I get the error code saying it was outside of business hours and wouldnt let me in. So, i had to carry an entire van full of equipment to my 2nd story appartment, and it took me about an hour. I am severely disapointed in this facility and whoever runs it. I will be back monday to cancel my unit

Although the staff was always friendly whenever I was able to go in and the facility was clean, it was very difficult to get ahold of anyone over the phone and I had multiple autopay issues that were never resolved (mainly because I couldn’t get ahold of anyone over the phone and I couldn’t go in because I was living out of state).

I was a bit upset that I wasted several hours plus two days, because no one enformed me of the site was closed on weekends and I needed to enroll and get access card from another u haul site. I had get this information from one of the residents that came as I was sitting there waiting.

On the website when I went to check-in the car, I was redirected to a page saying to call customer service. Was forced to spend nearly 3 hours on call waiting to speak to a human in order to PAY for the uhaul. Customer service was extremely unhelpful with resolving the issues. Don't think I'll ever be using this service again

Very less parking and U-Haul 24/7 is a hassle. The lock was too hard to unlock with the code given and I had to spend more than an hour with customer support standing in the heat. I would recommend going in an open location to pick up an equipment for a better experience

Considering that I rented a U-Haul storage and a U-Haul truck, I was not given the opportunity to use the promotion for the Storage rental on the first month free. I was not told what the promotion was and I felt like I could’ve definitely taking advantage of the promotion; which it would’ve helped me as a single mother. But Uhaul customer service or representative in person, did not help me with the promotion. This is my first time ever getting a storage in my life and it was not what I expected.

I had a horrible time accessing the van - I had to drive to the next Uhaul location and ask for their help in person because customer service had me on hold for 30+ minutes. The lady at the other location was very helpful, but she had to check me in in person and follow me down to the other place to make sure I got into the truck without issue. It was a mess and delayed my moving process by about an hour. In addition, I think it's unacceptable to have a gas tank at 1/4. That barely got me to and from the locations I was going, which are both in town within 20 miles from each other. Maybe try to get these vans to have above a half tank to start.

everytime i called gets forwared to the main uhaul # they NEVER answer 800 cant help needs to be done in person i got off school early to go since they disnt amswer their phone the guy was sitti g there on his phone no people nothing. if you want a storage who you cant get ahold of and who dont care great if you want to actualy have someone help when needes this place is NOT for you

The location I picked up from is ran/owned by a location 1 mile up the road. Nothing in the instructions on the app said to leave the keys in the back of the truck after dropping off. Mainly because the APP wouldn't let me return the unit for the 2nd time in 1 month (two separate locations) Guys at the other location were rude. Also the truck was left practically empty, talking under 1/4 tank!

Move out was confusing when I called after hours call rep. said i would have to go in person to store to finalize move out. Plus i rented a truck and was told i would get 1 months free on any storage unit yet i cant use it for my last months bill. Confusing is overall the only negative thing otherwise I plan on using uhaul for all my moving and storage needs.

Almost everything was stolen out of my locker. The facility is not secure. Cameras apparently are dummy cameras. What’s the point. I had no recourse. Wasn’t aware my monthly charges didn’t include insurance. Monthly locker fee wasn’t even refunded. I will NEVER use Uhaul for as long as I live and I will always tell everyone to choose any other company. Please do not contact me in the future and remove my info from your advertising list.

The hours are NOT convenient, because even though it is a 24hr access location; you aren't just granted 24hr. access. You have to be granted access by management, had we known it wasn't automatic we would have had him grant access initially. Technically, he should have just granted it then. Rather than cause me more of a headache by having to track down management and get them to fix this.

People who didn't know the code kept coming in and out trying to ask us for the code to open gate for them., then they just seemed to be hanging out around the facility. Didn't feel safe with this, nor do I feel safe with my stuff there if there are people hanging out.

The only negative is that there was no climate controlled unit available. For U-Haul that means they're full.....which is good for their business, of course. We needed that location, so we had to rent what was available.

i specifically wanted a unit that was open for my access 24/7 due to my hours that i work, so i googled it. the website said NOTHING about needing managers approval, in fact the gate i do not believe even says it. i went there tonight to put stuff in that i do not need carring around with me and i was denied access. NOT COOL, I WILL BE CONTACTING MANAGER OR MOVING SOMEWHERE THAT IS ACTUALLY NOT GONNA LIE.

Called and reserved a unit. Stopped in and was shown vacant unit. I put my lock on it the. Went to other location to pay. Was told there was a mistake and they were sold out. Began search for storage unit at other locations. Later called and was told they do have a job but left. Was able to get my things into storage.

My concern was that I was not told I had restricted hours. I tried to enter the unit at 10:01 PM and I could not because my hours were 5 AM to 10 PM. The complex states 24-hour access - big issue.
