NANCY P | First ImpressionsI reserved a storage space (10×20×8) on S Waverly Rd, but when I called inquiring about a larger one (10×20×10) they said they had one. Problem was they didn't tell me it was @ the Cedar St location until e-mail confirmed. Technically I never used or rented the space on Waverly Rd. I found that communication is lacking not only among the employees but for the customers as well. Upon arrival from out of state, I found out that the 10×20×10 is 2 units & not 1 large unit causing Ant Moving LLC some challenges when unloading a 26 ft truck. As a older female, & 1st time using a storage space it has been frustrating & stressful.
Ida R | Overall ExperienceCustomer service could be better. Communication not well done. Good luck getting a store employee on the phone. Mostly it gets transferred to the 800 number in my experience Because it's U-Haul prices are higher than local storage companies. They did upgrade the security for the outside storage units. However. They removed the drive up card swipe machine, have to exit vehicle to swipe in and out. Not cool. Why would you do that? Too cheap too re-wire original drive up card swipe i guess. If there are more than 2 customers inside the office, bring a chair. It can be awhile. Even for a simple issue. The people at U-Haul are nice, just could be better at some things in a retail/service company.

erika g | Overall ExperienceSeems like staff is people that rent trucks and units. No customer service training or education. When 1 or sometimes 2 csr are renting trucks everyone else in line has a long wait even if they have a short transaction to do. It really sucks. 45 minutes to get my passcode. A little discernment of what the workload is could make everyone's day better. One csr is for trucks the other for other transactions and renting trucks when no other tasks are needed. Signage would help in this paradigm shift. Clear and effective communication about how to get in to your storage unit and how to get out. Overall the Waverly store is getting it done everyday. I don't mean to say that the folks don't work hard. They certainly do work hard and diligently. Oh also because of the nature of renting trucks (inside and outside). It can be extremely challenging to get someone on the phone.

DORA A | First ImpressionsThere was no one at the customer service counter when I got there at 901 Waverly Street. Had to wait about 20 minutes for someone to come to the counter. The storage facility is too narrow to fit cars and trucks in between the storage units. This location initially gave me a unit that already had stuff in it and had a lock on it (They stated that they used it to store maintenance equipment).

From customer service all the way through key cards not working to facility managers being disrespectful and rude. Ignorant . People skills they do not have any. I wouldn't recommend cedar St If it were the only space left.

Tracy D | First ImpressionsI rented from you store it for 20+ years and when you bought them out it was no longer a secure facility gates left open office unattended I’m not sure how secure you consider that but for me it was a deal breaker due to the nature of the items I stored there I immediately began removing my items and vacating the unit when I found out and I quote Uhaul doesn’t like fences and gates !
BRETT H | Overall ExperienceOur move-in experience was 2 years before U-Haul bought the previous owners of the facility we originally rented from. Before U-Haul bought the unit, we never had billing issues and I never received a single spam email. Since U-Haul bought our storage facility, we had a billing issue that I personally had to go there to resolve because the phone number in the email sent you to a revolving automated menu of options OTHER than billing and nobody answered or returned phone calls at the number given for the GM. I am also receiving numerous SPAM emails, now that U-Haul has bought our contract, which is why I am leaving this negative "feedback", since receiving 5 email alerts from midnight to 5am this morning asking me to leave 'feedback'. The reason I CHOSE not to leave feedback when I received the first email asking me to do so, is because I didn't have anything nice to say. But since I was awoken all night long on a weekend by email alerts hitting my phone, insisting that I answer this feedback request, you get my honest feedback. I'm not impressed with U-Haul so far. OTHER THAN the fact that the gentleman who helped me clear up the billing issue AT THE FACILITY, when I was forced to go there to resolve the issue, was very courteous and very helpful.

EDWARD K | First ImpressionsThe reason I did not rate anything is Uhaul took over my storage unit. The transition has been terrible no explanation on what is being done when how or when. The employees at the store don't even know the answers to the question some of us have. The upper management at U haul has done a poor job with communication to all of us. I am seriously thinking about moving my things to another facility.
