I had a reservation 5 days prior for a 26' truck. I was unable to get my truck, and wasted 5 hrs searching for a truck, and had to settle on a 10' truck. No one ever called me back, customer service is the worst, 45 min wait times on the phone and then they just hang up. I am owed $50 for my reservation being cancelled, and I want to know when it will come.TRAVIS K.

When I picked up the truck in the morning there was a homeless woman sitting behind it. Maybe increasing security lights would be a good thing. The truck that I got had a pinch more than 1/4 tank of gas. I used about 37 miles worth of gas. Yet I had to fill it back up to half? that's bullshit. Lastly, that truck was crap. Barely any power steering, brakes were basically nonexistent. Truck loaded down going down the road, you hit a pothole and can hear the axle hitting the underside of the cargo box because of the horrible shocks on it. Not to mention the fact that I had to maintain a 30-35 degree angle hold on the steering wheel to go straight. Just a really shitty overall experience. May use penseke next time.Robert W.

Picking up a truck from one location and being told to pick up the trailer at another is extremely inconvenient. I spoke to multiple representatives and they all said I wouldn't need to pay anything extra when picking up the trailer since I had already paid at the first location, only to be told I needed to pay an additional $300! I then had to call customer service myself and spend an additional almost 2hrs over expected time which got in the way of my travel time as planned, to get the online pricing as advertised. This happened because they separated the orders. Had I not paid attention to the price I was being told to pay, I would've paid as if I was renting a trailer on its own without the truck reservation. True customer service would have been to arrange so both truck and trailer could be picked up in one location, not force the customer to go to 2 different locations and expect them to still pay same price.Karen D.

While renting, UHaul's customer service was abhorrent. The pick up and drop off locations were excellent. It was the en route lack of ways to get help from UHaul that caused problems. I spent 2 hours in 100 degree heat trying to get car off car hauler. UHaul didn't call me back for two hours. I was in tears by the end of this rental. Thank God for Carlos help when we found him.Paul H.

The Vance Jackson experience was great but uhaul flopped big time. No 26' truck, no 6x12 cargo trailer. No call to tell us there was a problem. Charged more for a smaller truck and had to make two trips and burn 4 extra hours. Sure glad we made a reservation.RANDAL J M.

The truck was extremely messy. The ramp would not "go-in-place". Therefore, I could not use the ramp. The windshield had LOTS of bugs stuck to the windshield and headlights. I was offered another truck, but, I saw that a truck that had just come-in, was parked with the "ready-to-be- rented" trucks. So, I told them no. Because, I had already spent about an hour on the truck that had been rented to me. But, they did wash, and sweep the truck, which had LOTS of trash in the bed of the truck.JAMES STEPHEN M.
Staff very uninterested in making sure things done right Staff had me push the breaks/blinkers to test trailer lights, and said it was all fine, I trusted them and didn't look myself. (I drove home only find tail light was actually out) I asked staff about the appliance dolly I had reserved and paid for, they assured me it was in the truck. I trusted their word and didn't look myself. Only to arrive home and find no dolly was in the truck. These two mistakes led to 3.5 hours of my time being on hold/transferred with customer service and roadside assistance to get tail light fixed and appliance dolly they charged me for but did not provide. I drove to 3 different uhaul stores to try to pick up appliance dolly before I was finally able to get one. So I'm total 4.5 hours of time I has set aside to pack the truck was wasted because I had trusted the staff at this location and didn't check them myself. Needless to say It will be very difficult to get myself to use/recommend uhaul again.Ryan E.

The trailer was an older model with a sliding upward door rather than swing open doors. I caught my fingers raising it twice because it slides quickly and into the upper portion. Also I was concerned with the outer dented condition but was assured I would not be blamed and which I was not at the turn in location which always appreciated.Brenda P.
