The gentleman that helped with the return was rude. He was not specific about where we were supposed to take the trailer and was very rough when unhooking it from our vehicle. He also made a comment that he was a better driver that is, that he drove a school bus.

The guy at the register was extremely RUDE. He WONT STOP SAYING “YOU BREAK YOU BUY”. I touched a box, he went you break you buy. He asked me if I want insurance for the car. I said no, he said okay, very simple, if there's any accident you will have to pay for everything. I said okay. He went “YOU BREAK YOU BUY”. Can he stop saying that? RUDE

Contact less check in took a long time and included multiple calls to my 3nd party. It seems like this should be a lot easier and much of it could be done prior to arriving at the lot. Also, I carefully returned the truck with the exact same reading (which was slightly below 3/4 tank) on the fuel gauge and I was charged $5+ for fuel. That seems like splitting hairs and not customer friendly

The gentleman assisting me was very rude. It seemed as though having to assist me was a bother to him, constantly speaking down to me. If it were possible to reschedule my daughter's move, I would have cancelled and gone to another rental company. I have utilized Uhaul before and this by far has been the worse experience.

During my renting of the CargoVan, tag plate: AK07668 on 12/21/2020, one incident occurred. My son left his wallet in the CargoVan when I returned it to U-Haul, Urbandale. On late morning of 12/22/2020 I have talked to store associates and asked them whether they have found the wallet. the associates told me they did not find it, but also told me that the cargovan has not been rented out since I returned it. I hope that your company leaders can help me to review your store's security videos. I am quite sure the wallet is left in the cargovan. The incident is like: last time we used the wallet is to drive-through order some fast foods at Coralville, IA. Time is around 8:40 PM. Then we drive to Johnston without any stop at 10:30 PM. Unloading stuff, then I return the cargovan to U-Haul, Urbandale IA around 11:16 PM and I am sure that the cargovan is locked. Next morning, my son got warning from credit card company and his credit cards were used by someone. The credit carrd usage occurred around Urbandale regions. Now Urbandale police have involved in this incident.

The exit at this location was very narrow. It was extremely difficult to turn the corner with the 26 foot truck. We also had to exit over a large curb, which is not ideal. Great customer service and smooth mobile check in!!

The service and availability of rentals has been and continues to be fantastic. The greatest hindrance is the location. It can be difficult to access and the property is tight and difficult to maneuver in.

The man that was working was extremely rude and short. Never thanked me, didn't walk me to the rental just pointed to it, and when I returned he got mad at me because I came in with my keys rather than just leaving them in the truck. Will rent form uhaul again but not this location

Signed up for 24/7 pick up, get to the location 2 hrs before pick-up and even though my online account/check-in said “reminder you signed up for 24/7 online pick-up...” but then when I would click on it, it said I didn't sign up for it and had to wait until the location opened? Which didn't make sense because I wouldn't have selected 7am pick-up if I couldn't pick up online because the place didn't open until 9am? Then when I called the general phone line, I had to wait 45 mins just to get someone on the phone, and the lady was incredibly rude, couldn't help at all and just indirectly blamed me, then transferred my call which got disconnected. Thankfully an employee at the store showed up an hour before opening time and assisted us, after already sitting there for over an hour, but the truck we rented wasn't ready/clean, and it wa buried in the back. I will NEVER use uhaul again and will make sure to spread the word, awful, awful experience. One of the worst customer service experiences of my life with the cal in process.

Your online sign in process and bar scanning is horrendous. The need to get my phones location when I return the vehicle is unecessary. When my phone didnt give the location I was in even after allowing the location to be picked up I wasnt given any other options to proceed. I was stuck waiting for customer care on the phone for 30 minutes before I got ahold of someone that could finish the process.

Truck needed a front end alignment. The whole check in process is crap. We are not to do the job of UHaul employees. Also there was a worker there past closing time.. there were a couple people out in the parking lot and he just walked out and went straight to his car without asking the customer if any help is needed. This may be my last time renting with U-Haul.

The gentleman that helped us had an unruly customer just before us and he dealt with that person very well considering that customer was demanding and inconsiderate. The employee kept his cool, helped us very nicely and resolved the other customers problem (which was the customers fault not the employees/shops). We will definitely be back!

I've had several experiences with U-Haul over the years, including this particular location in Urbandale, IA. This was the best experience in working with U-Haul I've ever had. The equipment was on-site, on time, and in perfect working order. The staff were knowledgeable and professional. My past experiences with U-Haul left me vowing to never come back; however, this experience was everything I expected. Nicely done.

Larger lot, parking is terrible and entering and exiting difficult. The manager is very helpful and a very hard worker to make a move less stressful.

The manager checked me out, he was great. The woman that checked me in was nothing less than a total bitch. I parked in front due to a pick-up with a trailer in the driveway, this location is small & access is limited. The woman that checked me said I had to park the truck in the lot, I advised of the truck & trailer in the drive, she acted pissed off, took the key & stormed outside. I mentioned to another customer who was waiting she's probably more experienced with this locations small lot. When she returned she was talking to the customer I just spoke to, and in a loud voice was saying "there was all kinds of room in the drive", I said to her you are more familiar with this location than I- she said in a nasty, disrespectful tone, "Sir that conversation wasn't meant for you!" , so why the hell did she say within ear shot of me ? This person needs a day off without pay to reflect on her lousy customer skills, and some additional customer service training! I will NEVER return to this location ever, nor will I recommend it to anyone. I have never been treated so rudely in my life, there is no excuse to ever treat a customer in this manner.

I brought it back a day early, never got an email with my receipt. I called to get one and turned out to be mass confusion. Then got a call later wanting to know why I had not brought the truck back? Still got charged for 2 days and now got a charge for $39. Most messed up place ever and not sure when I will ever get a refund. Paid $142 for less than a 1 day rental. Ridiculous and I shouldn't have to go thru so much just to get my money back.

I did the online early check-in so when I got there, it was really quick to get signed in. The truck worked great and it was quick and easy to sign the truck back in. I highly recommend the Douglas Ave. location. They made the horrible process of moving a little bit better :)

I booked online at a close location. They then called me and told me I would have to go to one further away but wouldn't give a credit for the much further drive. Absolute BS. Location and truck were in decent shape but getting in and out of this location is challenging.

The auto check in and out did not work. System could not find my phone location either time. When I picked up the truck I had to go inside, employee said they have had a problem with the location app. Not an issue than,but I returned after hours. Had to call 800#. Took an hour to return the truck.

i could not get out of the parking lot once I pulled in. For this reason I could not pull out to fill the truck with gas. I was charged extra for not filling up the truck with gas. I would have filled it if I could have left the parking lot.

The truck is not maintained at all! When checking in, the guy was a complete ass Saying that the truck was his truck and he didn't know why they would ever say to drop it off at a different location which I had originally requested for and then changed it but they still text me that I was going to drop it off at a different location and then to the second text saying to drop it off at that location which is very inconvenient. And the guy acted like I was lying so I shove the text in his face showing him what it said he said oh I don't know what they were thinking because this is my truck. Pathetic.

The battery on the 15' van had to be jumped four different times to start. I mentioned it when I returned it, was hoping for a little discount for the trouble but nothing. Oh well, probably my fault for not returning it right away, but I was on a time crunch and jumping it was quicker than returning it.
