I'm clicking NA on would you recommend this location to a friend, because maybe but I would tell them this. I reserved it online for 10:30, we got there a little after 10:30, waited for a few minutes then a man in sunglasses came out and asked us to wait. We waited about 15 minutes. By the time we were ready to go it was 11:00. However, the customer service rep, who never actually took off the sunglasses inside the building, gave us only til 2:30. so we lost a half hour. I thought we should have it til 3 considering we didn't actually get the key till 11. Also the man who checked us in was very rude and curt with his instructions. He was not friendly at all, he talked to us like we were new recruits and he was a drill sergeant. When we dropped off the van there was a different guy there and we just turned in the key and he said thank you, no problem. Also the van was very nice, it was obviously fairly new which was great.

The customer service rep was Fabulous the computer systems were down completely but he was all over it calling To see if it was only his store he had three phones trying to upload the website plus his computers he was awesome he should have a raise they finally got the computer system up after about 45 minutes and I was on my way in less than 10

The trailer had defective brakes. They partially locked up several times and totally locked up in the uhaul lot when I returned it after hours. I tried to call several times the next day to report this. Each time I was kept on hold for over 20 minutes without an opening to leave a message

I had to wait over 40 minutes to get my uhaul and the whole time I got 2 calls from the regional office asking if i still needed my equipment. I'm a reasonably calm person but that really pissed me off. Once I got to the front desk the man was very helpful and well mannered but scheduling one man around noon on a Saturday is a very poor business move.

The location was understaffed at what I would suspect to be prime hours on a Sunday morning. There was one guy really working his butt off to keep things moving and stick to proper procedures. An additional person would be a good investment and probably keep that guy working there longer. He's going to burn out.

Saturday early afternoon when I returned to drop off my rental, there was only one employee working. The line of customers stretched out the door and the wait time was close to an hour. If this location was properly staffed, it would not have been such an unpleasant experience. While we stood there sweating in the unconditioned room, I watched customers walk away. If this is a regular occurrence at this location, perhaps you could invest in another employee or two to assist the lonely employee working his behind off to get customers taken care of. You wouldn’t be losing so many customers on a Saturday, and you would make more money so you can run your air conditioning unit.

I rented a van with the intention to use it to move about 70 miles away from where I was. Uhaul did not let me know at any point before the rental that I would have to return the van to the same location that I picked it up from, which would be impossible for me. They would not adjust my contract and charged me anyway, even though I returned the van immediately without even using it. Uhaul should confirm pick up and drop off locations before a rental is confirmed to avoid confusion for customers, and should offer a refund for customers who end up falling in this trap.

When we arrived it was 6:55pm & store closed at 7. The employee was outside as we got out of our car but he saw us and made a beeline for the store to turn off the light for the Open sign. We opted for mobile check-in but it atill bothered me a little bc he didn't take the time to just ask if we needed help. This was the 1st time we ever rented from Uhaul so we were unsure w/the process. We stood directly in front of the front window while trying to figure out how to do everything & this same employee kept his head down like we weren't there. I understand store closed at 7 but again just to be a nice person at least ask if we're ok. After some issues we were in touch with an online associate. I had to take my picture and a picture of both sides of my license 3 times. She asked for 2 references but didn't contact either of them yet we waited 20 minutes while she was verifying my information. I signed up for online earlier in the day so I feel some of this info could've been verified earlier. It was cold and raining out but we didn't get the okay to get the keys & take the van til approximately 40 minutes into our 4 hour window time. I did read all the information provided online prior to showing up but it still took that amount of time despite that. Overall I'm hoping if I use Uhaul again the process will be ALOT faster especially since I'd be a returning customer. I think that may not be the case so I might check with other companies just in case. Other then that the vehicle was clean and the return process was alot faster.

Check items before rental!! The associate at the location told me that is was my vehicle that had something wrong with the left turning signal. Came back with a different vehicle and it had the exact same problem with the left turning signal. But after associate finally took a closer look it was the wiring on the the U-Haul rental that was wrong. Lots of time wasted today not very satisfied.

One person working, the express pick up was not express at all. I wasn’t given the right key after the server dropped me while registering the pick up and it was extremely frustrating. The gentleman working stated he had two employees quit without notice so I felt terrible to be impatient, but I was pressed for time and your process was not easy. I was very very frustrated and I will not use this location again.

The store and staff are excellent. The computer system is the worst thing ever. I checked in online with copies of my drivers license and I was there for 45 minutes because their computer system sucks to pick up a trailer. Get it together

Awful customer service. After reserving a truck closer for my move they redirect me to a location much further and “out of town” costing me way more money that was necessary. They offered nothing in the way of making the situation right and I even had to take a smaller truck than I reserved. Absolutely horrendous customer service I would recommend you find somewhere else to rent a truck from.

The trailer platform is like corrugated metal why don't you use flat metal makes removing material easier and less harder to clean trailers

I dropped my vehicle on sunday itself, But they charged me one full day of $73 saying i dropped it at Monday 5:44 AM April 1st which was a false statement. I yet to reach U Haul Support folks to understand what is the reason behind of charging $73.

Where is the desk person? I had to wait at least 5 mins if not more when I came to pick up my van. That was totally unacceptable. There was no one in the store at all and we he “appeared” he seemed to know I had been waiting... and didn’t really care.

I was never made aware that there was a damage to the truck it is at the roof and there was nothing that we had or did. I purchased the insurance just in case and when I called to have the hold lifted on my debit card they then sent me the email with the receipt of the damages and told me there was no money being refunded . If the damages were accurate on the truck a receipt should have been emailed to me immediately and I should’ve been notified. I don’t understand why insurance is offered if it’s not applicable to the truck which it does clearly state in the contract . The copy of the damages was sent to me after I called to complain five days after the truck it was rented

The 20' truck was clean, in good shape and rode well, I just wish the mileage rate was less as it became very expensive for me to drive this truck a far distance for my job as a vendor. I would have kept it another day or two if it was more affordable.

This is not our first time using this location but it will surely be the last. The attendant we encountered today lacked good customer service, he was rude and did not explain things well or at all. He called us up to the counter only to rudely inform us we have to wait a minute when he returned to the counter, he asked what do we need and we asked for a specific vehicle size he kept saying we don’t have that instead of informing us of what was available he also appeared as if any question or concern we expressed frustrated him.

The truck had mechanical issues. Id suggest checking their maintenance more often. It was jerking and transmission was rough. No customer wants to breakdown during a moving job. Other than that everything was awesome.

The way to calculate the distance on a one way rental. in my case, I was charged for seven extra miles, but I didn't deviated from the major route. But overall the truck was in excellent condition.

Avoid the RUNNEMEDE NJ dealership! Don't lie to customers and tell them verbally that the rental is for 24 hours and then list another return time (less than 24 hours) on the contract. This is a borderline scam that the rep at the dealership in runnemede NJ is running. Guy tells me twice that im renting the truck forn24 hours and then casually asked me "about what time do you think you return the truck". I give a random time that he lists on the contract and then they charge me for an extra day after I return the truck after that time. It was really shady. Sadly it was only an extra $19.95 - not a lot of money to overcharge but losing a customer for a shady transaction. I'd be less bent out of shape if I hadn't twice asked the guy "I've got this truck for 24 hours right?". Shady business practice.
