Once again my issue with U-Haul was not with the pickup store but rather with corporate or whom ever in Winnipeg who called to tell me the car hauler I wanted to rent was only available 2 and a half hours south of meâ€¦ when I inquired as to the availability of this trailer in any U-Haul centre at least in the direction I was headed she said noâ€¦ it really didn't sound like she was interested in making the effort to check.ROBERT C.

This is a comment for U Haul corporate. The service I received at the Park St location was very good. For U Haul corporate you need to make sure that your Chevrolet pick up trucks with the tow package have wiring and computer programming/modules that will work with LED trailer lights. I rented a 2022 Silverado and it wouldn't power my boat trailer lights. This is a known problem with GM/Chevrolet products and needs to be addressed by your company as I can only assume that there are a large number of people whom hook up the trailer lights and think they are working without checking them.Colin S.

First of all, the type of vehicle I wanted was not available. I also got there to find the door locked. Waited for no less than 10 minutes. 2nd, I had to pay through the nose essentially for what I got. 3rd, after all of that, I still got charged a ridiculous amount for 1/8 of a tank. Truck was good but they gave it to us with the gas on E. They told us if we bring it back at 1/8 we would get a gas refund taking off our bill. Just had a bed to move and went less then 10km and decided to put $15 in the truck for then next person thinking with my gas receipt I would be refunded the exact amount nope,I got a $5.76 gas refund. Does that make any sense ti you? Cos it doesn't to me. Super disappointed but a lesson learned.Melissa L.

I was picking up a truck to take on a nearly 2000 mile drive and the windshield was covered in bugs. Basically, I felt he truck I was given may not have been prepped for the journey I had booked it for so I had to ask them to have a look at it for me prior to driving off the lot. The location told me they were aware it was heading to the city for a sale after I dropped it off so it felt like they were not really invested in it any more and simply passing it off to me. A staff member was called to look it over and there seemed to be tension between the manager and the staff member about doing the 'extra' work - not the best customer experience. Now, the telephone sales person who helped me finalize the reservation prior to PU was amazing - very helpful and informative which made me encouraged UHaul was taking care of me. Basically, if someone is picking up a vehicle it matters if it's clean and ready to go, topped up with fluids and tire pressure checked. That's the whole point of the experience as no one wants to rent a tired looking vehicle that looks like it was just returned by someone else.Jeffrey B.

Had truck reserved for 1:00, arrived no truck available. They reserved a truck for me at a different location, for 1:30 25 minute drive to second location. Arrived and there was no truck available. Drove back to first location to get truck which had just been returned. Had crew waiting to move I was delayed over an hour and had to drive all over the city. Not happyVictor S.

When I picked up the rental and signed the contract, I was told that the fuel tank was full and was instructed to return it full. Agreed. I drove 18 km in total to pick up furniture, went to the nearest gas station and asked them top up the tank. It cost $25.55. The tank was obviously not full when I got it, as stated. I was told that I should have verified the gas before taking it. (How?? With a dipstick??). The employee told me it was full. The gauge SHOWED pointing to full, however, once I ACTUALLY filled it, it registered much further past. Clearly the prior customer didn't fill the tank and Uhaul didn't verify that. I asked for even a partial credit and was refused. The employee who did the initial transaction for me wouldn't even engage in trying to problem solve this. Another employee said that yes, it was wrong, but when he talked to the manager, she told me that it's probably just from the price of gas and she wouldn't be reimbursing me anything. So, $25.55 to drive 18km? Terrible customer service. I read so many bad reviews, but thought nothing could go wrong with a simple, 1 hour, 18km rental so I took a chance. Never again.Shelley F.

First of all the truck wreaked of cigarettes, which is fine. When returning my rental, an attendant at the store was talking to another customer in front of me, trying to arrange payment. The male attendant had someone on speaker phone reciting their credit card info. The person over the phone was told to the repeat the card number many times, with a about 10 other customers in earshot. To be truthful every attendant seemed like they didn't want to be be there.Annie R.

There is long waiting to book any vehicle with staff as it seems to be under staffed. Also the person who booked our vehicle did not explain things and seemed not to care when we asked questions. Then when dropping off the vehicle he said that everything was in miles but failed to explain this when booking the vehicle and only asked what we wanted for km. Which was frustrating as we would have gave extra miles not km to not get overcharged. Seemed as though he needs to be trained in customer relations.CHANTEL M.
