Better customer service. Tow dolly was returned same day as pick up, location was closed but were told to return same day as equipment was booked in the morning. They call back 3 days later saying it got returned today and charged us for 3 days. What the fuck. It was parked in front of your office for 3 days and you just noticed? That's ridiculous.SINGH K.

Provide better customer service. do not rent from u-haul. Horrible experience. We rented a truck this past saturday. The reservation was changed the morning of from our original location to another location farther away which cost me an extra mileage charge. Six hours into our move the truck then broke down causing a huge inconvenience since we were only able to move half of our things. Roadside assistance then took 2 hours to arrive to tow the truck away. We then find out today that the location in rancho Cordova (Pyrites Way) charged us two and a half days rental even though we had it for 6 hours. I tried contacting the Rancho Cordova location and still have had no response. I was overcharged by two days, left without a replacement truck even though property Management needs my things out today, and then was told I would be charged again to send a replacement truck. And throughout all of this all that I am looking for is just a little bit of courtesy and professional customer service by U-Haul yet I have not found that anywhere. Overall U-Haul does have higher rates than competitors such as budget however I went with them due to not having any issues in the past. Do not make the same mistake I did and choose wisely. I will definitely update this message if I finally receive good customer service returned from U-Haul but I wouldn't hold my breath.Adam R.

The staff and customer service at this location are not given the resources they need to succeed. Also the online reservation and pick up system is horrific and I ended up having to go into the storefront even though I had reserved a cargo van online. The reset my U-Haul account password link did not work and then the online navigation would not let me move past turn location services on even though I already did that to try and claim my reservation. I ended up having to go through the same online pick up process like taking a picture of my license etc. except I had to send it to a person standing in front of me which did not make sense whatsoever. U-Haul is clearly a cash cow business and clearly does not value providing staff and resources for the staff to their organization. Get it the fuck together. Some of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had in my life have taken place at different U-Haul locations. Thanks for nothing.PATRICK B.

Fuel was on empty. They gave me enough to make it to the gas station and a credit if brought back with 1/4. Would have been nicer with a full tank. They said there was people coming in at night stealing gas. Maybe locking gas caps would be good. Small investment for bigger return. Always nice to start off not paying an additional $200 for fuel. Other than that truck was ok. Overall was excellent.Robert B.

The manager provided conflict not conflict resolution or an enhanced customer experience, and it appears the place is rotting from the head out. As a result of a disagreement he changed my insurance coverage to the most expensive insurance option available even though the moving van was parked and charged me an extra day I didn't even use as revenge for not complying with his demands. He told me he was going to "run up the costs" as a threat when we got into a heated disagreement over meeting his demand to move the 10' van I rented off the U-Haul Center property. The manager did not want to be liable for any damage to contents. Yet they'd invite me to leave my sedan on the grounds here in lieu of his truck so I could take that risk for them. I reluctantly did the first night I didn't care to flirt with another. The U-Haul center is surrounded by the slums of Rancho Cordova and the environment looks like Mogidushu on the set where they shot Black Hawk Down. If the manager is so concerned why doesn't he install some additional security features, perhaps a locking gate and give his customer's access? I did not have a viable option from what was given and I couldn't meet his terms. I was on the road and in traffic on my way to drop off the majority of my belongings in storage and then out of town for the next morning. I was stuck. I assured the manager I had the vast majority of items removed, the four things that remained were of relatively low value and we're locked in the cargo area and covered by a renter's policy I had in force. The moving van itself was covered by U-Haul's own damage waiver policy I already purchased. I explained everything and assured him I'd be back the following morning to get the remains before I left town which I did. The truck was turned in before the store even opened the next day but he added that day too. i tried to do what I could but I was in a pinch. What I expect from any U-Haul center manager is not "my way or else" followed by threats bullying or pressure tactics but real solutions that fix minor problems. This is the hallmark of true customer service. This facility under this manager's example has lost it's way and there are better centers for those wanting a self-service option without undue hassle, aggravation and the kind of gross incompetence displayed here. Ryder and Penske are just a mile further down Sunrise for example and worth a look. I certainly won't be looking here anymore.Richard L.

The facility in Rancho was great. It was the scheduling dept. After taking to scheduling about location of pick up and that I needed a enclosed trailer. I specifically said i can not have an open trailer. That i was going to las Vegas and it was storming. That i was moving furniture. Well after taking with scheduling. My pickup location got changed and they changed reservation from an enclosed trailer to an open trailer. Nobody called me. I made the reservations over a week before pickup. When i went to pick up trailer the facility told me i was at the wrong location and that my reservation had been changed to an open trailer. I had to spend 2 hrs taking to the scheduling dept. Thankfully an enclosed trailer became available. This switch of location and type of trailer or me over 2 hrs behind schedule on a 10 he drive, making me arrive very late into Las Vegas. This is not only unacceptable, but it was a huge in convenience to my family that i was traveling to, to arrive so late at night. It is very frustrating that nobody called to tell me about the changes or to even see if it was ok. Next time i need to rent a trailer I will be looking at other companies.TIMOTHI B.

Renting my truck went smoothly, Cristian was very helpful, knowledgeable and made sure I had everything I needed. Returning the truck was horrible! I pulled up at 6:45/6:50 and all three employees saw me, 2 of them (one being trained) were helping another customer, at one point the trainee walked around my truck and the went inside, a female employee went out the side door and out to the back, she looked at me when she came out of the door and also while walking back to the front, a few minutes later two customers came out and the female employee locked the front door, my dad was inside using the restroom and when she let him out he asked if she was going to help me and she didn't respond so I ran up to the door and ask what the he'll was going on and why are they locking up, the male employee respond with " well it was getting to be 7 so we closed up. I couldn't believe how horrible my experience was, I still can't wrap my head around it.JAMES S.

They are hardworking and helpful I absolutely *hate* everything about your corporate, outdated, glitchy, awful and *incredibly frustrating* computer system with a burning passion. Your system is so awful that I am considering buying my own trailer, just to avoid getting pushed around and screwed over by your horrible automated pile of septic waste. Your employees, across multiple locations, have been very genuine, kind, and helpful - in spite of your horrible computer systems. Switched up my pick up location at the last minute. They told me I would be able to pick up a hitch trailer at this location on a friday but called me on thursday late evening that I would need to drive about 20miles to pick up the hitch. I was pulled over by the Roseville CA police because the truck was reported stolen. They said Uhaul never came back to them to say it was recovered. I had guns drawn on me on the side of I80 during rush hour traffic. I was handcuffed and put in the back of the patrol car for 15 minutes until they sorted it out. I had to wait another half hour while they did paper work. Sure not a efficient use of their or my timeMatthew P.
The only thing that I can add to the service is ,more staff so the customers wouldn't have to be waiting, especially the u haul prance in Rancho cordova off from Mather field, But I would like to recommend the staff member who was helping me on Monday the 5th,if everyone is like him ,everything is going smoothly and outstanding, he's very polite etc...I can rate his service 100%SITELA A.
When you ask was the equipment well maintained and clean-its U haul. It's never really clean or well maintained in the normal sense of that phrase. The equipment worked and leave me by the side of the road so in that sense it did what I needed it to do. The staff was great and they did a great job. Best experience I have ever had with a uhaul. I rent from this location exclusively because it's corporate store and they do a great job. I don't rent from the independent shop. They are never that good.donald B.

Absolutely horrible experience with this rental. I went into the office to get the truck. The guy behind the counter, Christian, asked me for a second phone number. I said that I don't have a second number. He said that if I don't supply him with a second number (this time saying for another person), he wouldn't rent me the truck. I said I didn't understand. There's nothing I encountered on the website nor with the person who walked me through it on the phone (Ternio sp?) that says a second phone number is needed. So, I told him that I can give him my wif'e's number, but she's in Colorado, and I don't know if she'll answer. He said that if she doesn't answer, he wouldn't rent me the truck. I said that I have a credit card and drivers license. What's the issue? He said, "I don't know if you'll bring back the truck." This was in front of other customers and was highly embarrassing. Then, he dialed her number and while dialing said that if it goes to voicemail and she says her name, then he'll proceed. I said, "Why didn't you say that to begin with?" His response... "It's not my job to explain everything or to baby you." I should not have to pay anything after having been treated this way.JONATHAN G.
