The truck I ordered didn't have a ramp. When I booked it online it said the 10' truck would have a ramp. This was needed because we were moving a piano. Since the truck didn't have a ramp we had to pick it up. (Not Good) I would recommend marking whether or not the truck has a ramp. For example have a check box to indicate whether the customer wants a ramp or notCHASTITY P.
I felt that the fluffers were under-enthusiastic. Also there were far to few reach arounds for my liking. The truck itself, as if that's why ANYONE would go to a U-Haul, was great and really helped us our on our move.GARY P.
The biggest issue I have was that they tried to substantially overcharge me based on the mileage usage (by around $40). I'm aware of what goes on enough that I had a picture of the odometer as proof and was able to get it refunded. If you want to encourage usage of your trucks I find it hard to understand why you would tolerate this kind of behavior. I would never use your service again after this experience. You should be willing to go above and beyond to make things right with your customers if you see this behavior occurring.Robert M.
I was not able to get into the lock box on the morning of my rental. I called customer service, she was not able to get me in either and had no other vans/trucks available for me in the area. Remote drop off did not work. Had to go back the next day to avoid the drop off fee. Drop offf fee is stupid. If I drop off I; person, they do everything for you. Why do I need to do something different f no one is there or charge me $20Roland M.

If you reserve a one way truck weeks in advance, then change the pick up location and then tell me there is NO TRUCK AVAILABLE when I arrive, you suck. You pulled the bait and switch move on me, making me rent a local truck vs a one way move! I had ZERO choice since I needed to move my son. I had no option at this point. And the NEGATIVE ATTITUTE from your store manager was awful. He needs a big lesson in custom service.David K.

The guy that checked out was working exceptionally hard, stopped to handle us at the counter, then hooked the trailer up like a pro, then jumped right back in to other tasks. Not sure if he was alone, but he was busting his tail to get it all done. Kudos to his work ethic.Timothy B.
Over charged my card without telling me 3 days after rental was returned for for additional $130. ]lBecause of this my bank charged me over 70 dollars in overdraft fees. Then when I called to find out why this happened I was basically told there was nothing they could do and to dispute the charges with my bank. Absolutely no helpDaniel E.

Change the title of your emails to highlight when things change about a reservation. I received an email with a vague title which was meant to tell me that my rental pickup location had changed. The change was in small text low down in the email, so I went to the wrong location to pickup my truck. Make it blatantly obvious when things change.LUKE S.

Be honest! I was charged 4 gallons of gas for a 4 mile round trip! I called Monday morning and spoke with agent/manager! I sent pics of wrong gas gushed readings! No response! Also, never inspected vehicle before I left! I took pics of front bumper damage! I've rented every fall and this is not fair!!!Richard B.

They Tried to charge me $150 cleaning fee that they added after I left I called U-Haul customer service because I took photos of the U-Haul truck prior and after dropping it off and the truck was just as clean as I got it. The person at the Langhorne location called me the next day saying they were refunding me the money but gave me attitude saying I ashed in the cupholder. And I told him I don't smoke and I have no clue what he's talking about and he's like well I saw it but I have no pictures the back it up so I'm refunding your money just know next time you rent a U-Haul don't ask in the cupholder. The guy was so ignorant and if there really was ashes in the cupholder why wouldn't you take pictures of that to back up your claims. This location was clearly trying to get extra money out of people that may have not noticed the extra charges and that's no way to treat your customers. Also again if the cupholder was dirty $150 reallyâ€¦ But it wasn't dirty because I don't smoke! But that's not the pointBartlett D.

The app wasn't working so i couldn't submit a picture of the fuel gauge and sure enough, without the app allowing me to submit the fuel gauge and mileage, you gouged me for 6 gallons. Heck of a way to treat a customer who spends a couple thousand on U-Hauls a year.Clark M.

I will NEVER use or recommend Uhaul to anyone again. I had reserved a 20' truck to move across country 2 1/2 months in advance. Two days prior to our move we received an email that we had been downgraded. We called and were told they only had a 15' truck. No 20 footers or larger anywhere on the east coast. I was told at the time of booking that they may not have the wanted size truck at our desired location and that we might have to go to one of the nearby locations. I agreed to that. After getting the email that we had been downsized, I called to find out what was going on. The woman I spoke too was very rude and couldn't offer any resolution other than to give me a number to complain. I can't even begin to describe how upsetting and stressful this situation was. We had a day to go through all of our boxes/tubs from a 10x10 storage shed and our apartment and decide what we had to leave behind, repack everything and get it loaded. Packing and getting ready to move out is stressful enough without being thrown into a situation like this. To this day (a month and a half later) I am still upset with Uhaul and extremely saddened with the items we had to leave behind. Not only were there personal items that had sentimental value, but also items that will cost us lots of money to replace. No one should ever be put in this position. What is the point of having a reservation if it doesn't mean anything???John S.

I rented a box truck for one day and returned it 23 hours later, but the store billed two days in advance and indicated a later return time, which resulted in 24 hours and 7 minutes of rental time. the exact return time can be viewed by cameras. they also billed for the use of dolly, which we did not even touch, I called the store, but they refused to return the money.Aliaksandr K.
