Made an online reservation and on the day of pick-up, I had to go back online via the QR Code provided and make another reservation. The location did not have the additional supplies that I requested in my original online reservation. This was an inconvenience and disappointment due to the reason that I had to make other arrangements to make my move complete.Joan E B.

Trucks need maintenance. Rubber trim came off the door. Inside needs to be wiped down between uses. New check in system online is horrible and need more employees to work with customers trying to use the new process.Jami R.

I had a reservation for 9am. The 20 inch that I reserved was not available because the previous renter locked the keys in the truck and still had it from the day before!!! I had to was an HOUR to get a 15 inch truck!! Additionally, the guy working outside had the nastiest attitude...I asked him which truck is mine and he said "ma'am the trucks are over there"! After I told him about his tone and the fact that he pointed to a group of 8 trucks, he explained to match the number on the key to the o e on the top of the truck..then I said I orded a ha d truck and dolly!! HE ASKED ME TO HELP HIM WITH THE DOLLY!!!! HELL NO! HE DIS NOT EVEN WANT TO OPEN THE BACK OF THE TRUCK TO PUT THE EQUIPMENT IN IT!! WHOEVER THAT LITTLE GUY IS SHOULD NOT WORK FOR THE BUSINESS!!! THE GUY INSIDE WAS VERY NICE!! THE BOZO OUTSIDE WAS A LAZY, NASTY, CONDESCENDING ASS!!!Yolanda B.

I had a reservation for 26â€ truck. I went to pickup the truck the employee said we don't have any truck available, and also said since i made my booking just one day ago so its not fair for people who booked one week ago, but if thats the scene why uhaul app let me book the truck at this location. I had to then call customer service, the lady I talked was so nice and cooperative, I explained her all the above thing the employee at this located me, so she tried call at this location the employees did not pick her call, Thats how your employee's supposed to behave? Not picking call from your head office, so i gave my phone to the employee then talked with her and said to me that no trucks available and dont give me phone i aint gonna answer it, in a rude tone. It was last day of my month, i had to shift my stuff, my lease had ended and i had to move out. But I don't get it, if i have a reservation, how can employee say no to me even if the truck is available, and who is he to decide if its fair or not, i have the reservation with me still??? After an hour on call with customer service i was finally able to get the truck, and that employee at that location was not happy handing me the key. Thanks to customer care lady. The employee who worked there has his name starting with the letter â€˜K'. I couldn't read the name due to othe stuff hanging on his neck. 6ft, slim, long hair. When we arrived to pick up a uhaul one of the gentlemen told us that this is not a pick up location and they have no 26 foot uhauls available. Giving the benefit of the doubt, we assumed we made a mistake and went to the location we originally booked from (this is different from the one that we were told to pick up from). The woman at that location was very rude and when the login in would end my session, instead of problem solving, she rolled her eyes and told me I was doing it wrong. I had her watch me go through the process so she could see it wasn't working and she laughed and walked away. I called uhaul and the worker was very kind told us the original location we went to had our truck and that the man never should have told us we cannot pick up from there. We finally returned to the uhaul in East Orange and a new gentleman helped us. He was much more helpful and when the same log in problem persisted and his coworker (who told us that we couldn't pick up earlier that day) chimed in saying I was doing it wrong. Luckily the man helping us was much more helpful and gave a problem solving solution. Overall I would not recommend this East Orange Location.Wilson M.

This place had poor customer service The truck given to me was filthy. Someone smoked cigarettes inside that truck before so it had bad smell and the AC in the truck was not cooling at all.Sai M.
The pick up being totally electronic is not smooth. It is time consuming and the information at the location didn't match what customer service promised me. It was very time consuming and frustrating.CORY J.

My mileage was off, they reported I drove 38 miles when I literally drove under 10. The app is not showing me my receipt and I have no recouse to resolve my issue.Hanif S.
Worst experience ever! I will use private movers in the future. Upon arrival at the location, you had to scan a barcode. Once the app loaded and you uploaded your id, it took 35 minutes for the approval process to go thru. I had to request to speak with a manager! The app kept implying that I did not look like my id. Thank god the manager was able to resolve the issue as I only had a certain window of time to move into my new apartment. I will not recommend this company to any of my friends and family. The check in system takes way too long to process!latasha S.

A better check in process. The employee was very helpful but overwhelmed with so many customer on how to do the check in online, and him not been able to do it on his computer. Truck was pretty bang up. Making too much rattling noises. And they gave me a truck with a quarter tank of gas.Jussara R.
The customer rep was very pleasant. I don't think they should be eating while attending to the Customer. For people who are not as proficient in using the internet, and if this Uhaul's future- the staff should be willing to help instead of having personal conversation about someone's girlfriend. They don't answer their phone! The system they use slows down the process. I have used UHaul for at least 50 years and the manual paper system they used 50 years ago is faster than the current 'automated system'.Clinton R.

Representatives need to develop better customer service skills and leave the saying "I am just doing my job" out of their vocabulary. They should also make sure that the gas reading marked at the start of your trip is accurate. They are supposed to be representatives of accurate, true and complete loyalty to the customer and business. With haggling my issue was corrected.Dorothy B.

The Manager who opens up needs to be fired. Got the truck, showed him the gas tank was much lower than my paper. He said oh thats half way to us its ok. I get charged for Gas when filled it up more than it was given. CROOKED and a POS. Never going to this Location ever again. Thats on GodJamel C.

The Spanish young boy who received my return was slow & had three people waiting while he was moving boxes. My mother had passed & I was on a tight schedule where I had to return a rental to get my car from the shop. He was rude as zi explained my situation. He skipped me & told me he had to take care of everybody because it was lose to closing g & he had s family. He then had the nerve to say don't you have a family? I was actually getting pretty mad and annoyed as I got to location almost 45 min. before they closed. He said I could just leave it if I wasn't happy with how slow he was taking He was rude slow & inefficient. I hope that he isn't representative of the kind of employee you want to have dealing with customers. Clearly I was under immense pressure & he made my tense situation a lot worse than it should have been especially where I was clearly there almost 50min before facility closed. I wish I recorded his overly unpleasant attitude & terrible work ethic. He had mo regard for the customer or representing U-haul.Dana G.

The truck size to small for one bedroom. No help at prime time in early mornings and on return. CSR rep via telephone very help, however I'm still being accused of a debt with your company, that I did not obtain, there is no proof of and this has been going on for 6 years. The guy who checked me in was phenomenal from end to end, however my rental caught a flat and I had to learn how to change a tire in a dress at 2:00 am. I don't know if my tire had low pressure because I wasn't paying attention as much because of time constraints but it was not a great experience. Lastly my car had a quarter of a tank of gas which also sucked. Other than that I love the price and customer service.Shauna H.
