The check out process through the UHaul app was a terrible experience. After over 15 min of attempting to use the "quick check out", as advertised on the app, I had to give up and use the website. I was very disappointed.Hana M.

While the vehicle performed as expected I was disappointed in the check out process which revealed that I was not informed to verify that the gas gauge reading in the contract agreed with what I noticed. An unfortunate disagreement with the manager would have been avoided as I would have raised the issue after receiving my contract and noticing the gauge differed. The manager did offer to waive the gas charge but it still made for an uninformed uncomfortable situation.Leslie L.
I got caught in a storm and couldn't return the equipment at the time I agreed to. I called to inform them that I needed to turn it in where I was stranded, they said no and charged me double. They could've helped me save money by taking it to the nearest uhaul dealer turn it in and re rent it when the storm allowed me to travelChristopher H.

Designated parking for customers. Was blocked in by trailer and service rep outside did nothing to help. Had to squeeze way around to get out of parking. Called ahead of time and advised of schedule change and change was not made in system. Had to call customer service to settle dispute, charges and credits.Jaime C.

Computer System was crashing causing a huge line and delay of pick up for reservations, took over an hour past my reserved pick up time to leave with a truck which severely affected my move. The yard workers had poor customer service did not seem they were interested in helping anyone. After getting my key finally I was told it was ready to go, but nope. It was double parked/backed in. For me and a few customers, I think a thorough review by a regional manager is warranted, only one person at the desk knew how to mediate technical issues.Ashton J.

I just want to say about your employees at the Broadway and the west Capital locations in Sacramento Ca. That they are the best I have encounteredðŸ' I live in the Bay Area and my experiences at the Redwood City location was horrible, in every way! I realized your employees mark the difference. I rented a cargo van. Selected mpbile check in at 7a pickup on a Sunday. I was instructed that the keys were in a lock box in the van itself. However, after 2 hours of searching (and then waiting for the location to open), the employee told us the keys were kept in a different truck. The fact that the keys weren't in the correct location and that we ended up having to wait 2 hours, I was very disappointed using the mobile check in..Kathleen O.

The exterior of the truck was very dirty/dusty. The employees that work at the actual location were friendly on the phone and in person. But the customer service via app/chat/phone number is TERRIBLE. literally 45 min wait for a response. Cannot reach a person to help you in an acceptable amount of time. Used the app for 24/7 pickup with a reservation time of 7am. After following the procedure it kept saying my documents could not be verified. Very inconvenient. 7am pickup time turned into a 10am pickup time. What's the point of app based pickup? Shouldn't docs be verified PRIOR to scheduled pickup?Anne H.
