One of the worst experiences I've had. The associated who booked me in was either having the worst day if her life or just hates her job sooooo much. They just expected nebri wander around the lot until I could find the little number. The after hours return process was explained to me as just read this tiny print. This resulted in an extra hour in the lot trying to figure out this unclear and contradictory process. Then my reservation, order number, trip to hell couldn't be found. I finally called the 800 help line the initial reservation taker even screwed that up. The 800 number help line guy was greatSacramento Bicyc A.

When I rented a truck the gas gauge red a quarter of a tank below empty which was very confusing when I first ran of the van. Attended told me I would receive a $25 credit if I were to fill the gas tank up to a quarter of a tank verbally when I first rented it out. Come to find out after I put $25 in the tank it came up to the gauge gas cage came up to empty mark. When I want to check the van and today I explain it to the manager she did not care and then she indicated that the gas must've been safe and out of my tank which was made up story and Lorelai speculation. I'll never go to that location again and the manager should be fired. Last Saturday when I took possession of it the manager was 45 minutes late on top of what just happened already if you can believe it you can't make this shit up.John S.

I did the good thing and returned a key that a employee left on my vehicle from one of the trucks and so I took the time out of my day to use my gas to go turn it in for the employee mess up I still got charged full price when I rented a trailer and didn't get a simple thank you when I could of not turned it in and. I was definitely overcharged for my miles used for my rental. I used the Uhaul for three hours all together for my moving process, all within Sacramento. From Oak Park to Natomas. The Storage, and my new place and back to Oak Park. Those that helped me move and I tallied up our miles. It was not over 42 miles. I was charged for 61 miles. Upon arrival to pick up truck. My original truck was dead, and they had to give me another truck. I believe I was overcharged due to all the changes that took place with my rental. Also, the young white lady in their that day was completely over worked and doing multiple things at once, and she concentrate on my rental issue at all, so I believe she went to fast with everything and overcharged me. 61 one miles would be me traveling from Sacramento to another near by city or more. That's outrageous. I need this looked into. I want a refund for my overchargeEliza D.

It took me 3 trucks before the 4th one was useable. First truck did not start. The second and third trucks gas tanks were siphoned so they were totally empty. To find out the the trucks gas tanks get siphoned or drilled every night is absolutely ridiculous. There are no measures being taken to make sure this does not happen. And you expect your customers to put gas in the tanks just so they end up empty anyway? This is a VERY poor business model and better measures need to be taken so that your customers who make reservations don't end up at the store for over an hour just because the trucks are not being secured or maintained properly.Erin M.

I submitted a five star review but I must mention your availability of your equipment when making a reservation. I made a reservation a month in advance for the closest uhaul location to where the work was being completed. You changed the reservation at least (3) times and when I went to pick the vehicle up it was a different truck at a different location with a different drop off time and location. I can understand a few of these changes based on your availability but I gave you a month in advance and why the drop off date change? Most confusing on pick up day and unnecessary mileage to my bill and to your vehicle. Thanks.Justin P.

I made a reservation for the truck which I am thankful I did because this location was busy on the specific day of my reservation. Unfortunately, the app wasn't working so I wasn't able to do a touchless check in. My wait inside to get the keys to my truck was a bit long -- maybe 15min. The truck was reliable, drove smoothly and the breaks worked. However, there was less gas in the truck than was indicated on my contract (more on that later). When I arrived to return my truck, there wee about 3 people in front of me waiting to return their equipment as well. I waited in line for about 5min before realizing touchless drop off was available through the app. I'm sure if I didn't do touchless drop off I would have been in like 20+ minutes. My truck stared with 1/8 tank. I returned the truck at 1/8 tank. However, I almost got charged $30 extra because Uhaul overestimated the gas originally in the truck at 1/4. Thankfully, I took before and after videos of the dashboard and the whole truck in general so I was able to quickly resolve this issue. However, if I hadn't taken the video, I would have been erroneously charged $30. SO, with that being said, please do a walk through of the truck and take videos of the outside, as well as pictures of the dashboard (gas & mileage, specifically) before you leave the lot. The staff members here were very competent. Not overly friendly but not rude either. Average customer service. I'd most likely rent form here again because it's in a convenient location and the prices are reasonable.Adrianna C.
The gas was siphoned out of my truck before I rented it while on the property location. I was told that I would be reimbursed for a 1/4 tank of gas which was what the contract showed. The person who helped me indicated she would make sure this was documented and I took a photo of the empty gas gauge during checkout by phone documenting the tank was empty. I have never received the credit from uhaul despite two emails responding to my invoice. I would give you uhaul one star if I could but I don't want to harm the location that helped me.Michael W.

I reserved the vehicle on line and decided to decline the $25 insurance. When I arrived to pick up the truck I was told that if I waived the insurance then I needed to provide my auto policy insurance information. I wish that you had stated that when I reserved the truck on line. If so, I would have brought my insurance information. Instead, I had to scramble and go track this info down with several impatient customers in line behind me. It all worked out but if UHaul had informed me by stating that info on ljne before I got to the facility then I would have been better prepared. The UHaul staff were friendly and competent. I hate your app. The return after hours was a nightmare. Apparently the app thinks I reserved a truck for today. I did not and when I tried to use the app to tell you that, my session timed out even though I put the confirmation number in immediately. I will rent elsewhere if forced to use your crappy app in the future.Laura M.

We got in and out pretty quickly both picking up and dropping off the truck. The truck drove fine and worked for our dump run of large items from our backyard. I will say the cab smelled like body odor and since we had just showered we know it wasn't us :). Not sure what could be done about it, but maybe a spritz of air freshener would be helpful.Barbara V.

Everything was fine except the app to check in. Great idea, but when I got to the DL photos and it asked for you to upload a file it did not present the opportunity to do so. I had a horrible experience, I was told I couldn't rent the van I had reserved because my debit card was not a major credit card. The employee didn't make any suggestions, I left then came back and asked if I could rent a box truck and she sighed and said yes. She told me that none of the box trucks had gas so if I would add gas I would get the rental for free. The attendant outside did not inspect the truck with me, just pointed to it and walked off. When I turned it on the gas light came on. I only needed the vehicle to pick up a couch three blocks from this location and then drop it off at my house which was another three blocks away. I put $10 in the tank and picked up the couch, dropped it at my house, then retuned it within 35 minutes. Then I was told I would get no discount because I didn't fill it to 1/4 of a tank. I told the attendant who was inspecting the vehicle â€œit's fine, I don't care if I have to pay.â€ He said â€œI don't deal with upset customers, you go in there and talk to her.â€ I said again I was fine with the amount because I didn't want to argue, I just felt like the service was horrible and my business was not appreciated.Vernon A.

The lady and gentlemen working were great. The issue lately with uhaul is the website doesn't work sometimes. I had issues with the online stuff but not the in person stuff. I couldn't change my reservation because I couldn't get past the captcha, so I had to cancel it and redo it. When I returned my equipment after hours I couldn't use the website to return it. It got stuck on step 2. I tried multiple times and it didn't work. I called and the wait time was over an hour.Louis C.

It's not the staff - they were great, but the security, the gas hose to the tank was cut because people are stealing gas from vehicles at this location. There is a nearby homeless encampment. There could have been a major accident with fire, and we were lucky.Kate C.

The fees were very misleading. Paid over $300 for the Uhaul, really misleading.. The person working the front desk told me I wasn't supposed to drop off the Uhaul at that location, when I told her that the gentleman I picked up from told me I could her response was, â€œwell he liedâ€ and called him an idiot. The online check in is cumbersome. When I'm renting a trailer, I don't need to be presented with a half dozen options for packing, storage, etc. Also, I find even when I've input all my information, including a photo of my driver license, I still get hung up at the counter. And if there are a few people ahead of me, it can take FOREVER to get out of there. It should be easier, especially when you've got an online account that's been used many times.George W.
