Your 24/7 app has many flaws and is frustrating to use. It regularly timed out. The only way I could get it to work was calling your 24/7 help line. Even she had to manually keep the app open so I could complete it. I had to get the truck by 6am. But because of your app I could not get it until 6:30, which made me late for a pick up for our food pantry turkey pickup. Summary the people at this location are Great. The person who helped me get through your app is good. Your app is lousy and made it difficult to get the turkeys because I was late..Douglas M.
The cargo van I rented had stains on the front seats along with an alignment issue. Was dangerous to drive and was very displeased. On top of that to park it over night I was required to take it down the street at their storage facility parking and leave it there. I had to walk back to the uhaul rental facility in the freezing cold. I have used uhaul many times and never have I had this kind of experience.DARDAN K.
Customer service was definitely below average. Upon returning my equipment I was told by Zayim that the charge for fuel was $10 a gallon. The contract clearly says $5.00. I wasn't greeted either when I went to rent or returned. Too busy looking at their phones. Better training and an adult should be present during working hours for a better customer experience. I was also overcharged which I'll have to spend time dealing with the Manager tomorrow. I've rented from this location about 12 years ago and the experience was much, much more positive and definitely more professional. I rent trailers from here twice a year to move my golf cart from my home to the seasonal campground and back. I have never had a problem with the trailer and the employees are always polite and courteous.RUSSELL G.

The truck was very old piece of garbage. Driving over 40 mph it was very hard to keep going straight. Truck was flying from side to side. They also cheat on fuel tank capasity. At time of pick up fuel was at 1/4 but i have to spend $35 to get to almost 3/8 of the fuel tank.... Very not happy...Matthew S.

Great service! The staff is nice and well knowledgeable at Uhaul, corner Oakton St & Mt Prospect Rd. . The truck we rented was clean and easy to pick up and returned on schedule. I reserved the truck online. It is better to rent Uhaul and hire your own helper.Ariel H.

The truck wasn't safe to drive, it had broken muffler and and it was shaking when driving 50 on a highway, and yet I've been charged for extra fuel that I've supposingly didn't put but the truth is that I've left it with the exact fuel level that I picked it up with, but I guess that's how you make money, ripping off the customers with some ridiculous excuses, so thx for ripping me off, the truth is that I should get my money reimbursed because this truck shouldn't be allowed to drive on the streets, and the ridiculous fuel charge at the end...MATTHEW S.

First of all, I will be disputing the charges... when I arrived back with the truck I asked them to come outside to check it out while I was there, they said they were to busy with phone calls, that's funny because when you call they don't answer, you get sent to call station, I'm passed because this is the 2nd time they are trying to charge me for a cleaning when I took 10 minutes right before I dropped off to clean it myself and they charged extra for gas when I put more in then the way I got it, I drove 70 miles and put in $40 of gas.JOSEPH L.

It is the tale of two cities: My experience with DesPlaines and Vanessa was out of this world positive- she should be running your organization. The level of avalabilty and customer service she provided was beyond compare. Simple amazing- she helped me navigate the website, answered endless number of questions, check the status for me when the website wasnt working. In Somerville, Tom gave my belongings to someone else, was a complete jerk ( would use stronger words if I could) to the movers I hired, to myself and everyone he interacted with. He wouldnt release the second UBox and his explanation was " they had the paperwork and ID"- clearly wasnt the correct answer as the individuals who my belongings were released to was gracious enough to return them since they ordered empty pods. Vanessa was awesome and Tom was the opposite. Moving is stressful- you need many more Vanessas.JoAnn Y.

Outstanding service. I changed my mind twice on the reservation, once over the phone and once at the desk at the time of my appointment. Your agents handled my requests extremely well and quickly. The Young lady was standing at the counter waiting as I was signing the contract and went out in the rain to hook me up. The whole experience was excellent.ROBERT R.

I HATED the "get the vehicle" process - my LICENSE actually had to be put on an employees phone. HATED IT! It was ridiculous the process that I had to do on my phone as I stood at the counter. I drove 7 miles and was charged $10 for gas...or so I think...because with your "techy" process, I didn't even get a receipt - but an extra $10 of charges showed up on my credit card. Honestly, the van got the job done - but I would do ANYTHING to avoid using Uhaul again and tell people that. Equipment was clean - but the low tire pressure light came on within a mile. In fact, I was getting ready to shred the paperwork today and stopped to find a way to give feedback.Laura M.

The uBox reached destination 8 days before target date, but there was no communication, I would have picked up my goods earlier. Also there is 24 hours notice to be given to access the uBox, when the date to access the uBox was already set in the system, why it was not kept ready to access on the scheduled date? I was told to give 24 hours notice and come next day. This is not acceptable, this was not told while booking, also if uBox was delivered to destination 8 days ago, why no one contacted me or sent email / text? Calling help desk is so so so frustrating I can't write all what happened. Give me a call if you really want to understand and improve your services.Ghanshyam P.

Make it more clear that for a mobile pickup you must be on time. I was running late and because it was a mobile pickup I was under the impression that I would pick up my keys from a lock box. By the time I arrived the store was closed. I was on hold with customer service for 45 mins trying to reach someone. I finally got through to someone with the online chat. They assigned me a different truck that had keys in a lock box but then I did not receive the items that I had rented or get a refund for those items.Kira B.

The service and the people were great, my rating is for themâ€¦ My issue is with the fact that my initial pick up was scheduled for Bellwood. Well, Bellwood had u-boxes but no trailers, so they sent us to Westchester (?) which couldn't help and eventually we were sent to des plaines. My first move help guy walked away because of this my other one fortunately, for me, was patient enough to see the job through. The actual people are great, the website and traffic scheduling is notâ€¦Marc G.
This entire moving experience was horrible. The moving help was 4 hours late. They claimed that this was uhaul's fault. Each time they went to exchange cubes it took more than an hour. These movers has quite obviously never packed uhaul boxes and had no idea what they were doing. They NEVER should have been recommended. The result was packing was not complete until 9;00pm. The day after the packing was complete I requested the cubes be shipped to Portland rather then The Dalles, a difference of 80 miles. You were unable to make that switch. But told me to call in a week. I called to make the switch which could still not be made. But you offered to send them from The Dalles to Beaverton for and extra $2000. I was able to contact the moving help and ask them to unload the pods at uhaul onto a truck and bring the things to me. They were able to do this for a lower price. However, they couldn't accomplish this all in one day. So they packed the truck on Tuesday and were to deliver them to me Wednesday. Somehow. Uhaul managed to cancel my moving help so my code would not be valid for paying the moving help. My mover and I spent more than an hour on the phone trying to sort this out with moving help. I will never use uhaul again and will never recommend uhaul.Alicia B.
