I have rented from this location 3 times since moving to the Clearwater area. They have been great every time. Only snag is that I booked a 26 foot truck for pickup from this location, online, about a week before I needed it. When I showed up, I was told they only had 1 26 foot truck left and it was not available because it was reserved for the following morning for a 1-way move. The gentleman was accommodating though and allowed me to rent it for less time than I originally requested.EMMETT B.

The app still needs some work. But overall I am very happy with U-Haul and your Missouri avenue store. Side note, I tried to rent a truck from the Dunedin cove motel location but had multiple problems first with the app and then with the truck itself which had excessive damage and did not match the picture presented in the app. That location does not reflect well on U-Haul. I talked to tech support and told them that I wasn't going to leave my car in that location or rent that truck and headed to the Missouri avenue store where the truck was clean and the service was much better.WINCHESTER D.

The truck that was a sign for me to rent out was parked in between two other trucks with one in front and one behind it. So I had to do a lot of forward and backing up in order to get the truck wedged out of the parking space. Not the most convenient way of picking up a rental. Next time, perhaps just rent the truck in the front of the line? Aside from that, service was fineEMMETT B.

Location and manager there was excellent. Problem was on line reservation. SERIOUS BUG! Had to read agreement. Clicked to read and website froze. Did it again to make sure I had a reservation, ended up with 2 vehicles.MARK M.

We picked up trailer at 7pm and returned to drop off location in Indiana at 3pm. We told clerk we only needed for one day we were charged for 5 days. At pick up my husband and son were told when we returned the trailer we could get the difference of the trailer back when we returned it in Indiana we were told we would get our money back. The truck I had on this particular reservation was notoriously difficult to start up. First when I was leaving the store, then again when I wrapped up my move. I had no issues starting it up other times during the rental period. I waited 3 hours for roadside assistance, and the phone rep advised it was a battery issue because the check engine light was on and would not start; but the mechanic came out and all but minutes later had the engine up and running. I've never had issues with U Haul trucks before but I thought it worth pointing this experience out. Other than that the staff were supportive and accommodating. Just make sure the trucks are user friendly.CLEMENTE P.

Employees leave the store vacant when a customer has an appointment to pick up the vehicle. My husband had to go find one person, and I had to call the store to get the other person to come to the front. When I commented that we had been waiting 5-10 minutes the 2nd girl (they wouldn't tell me her name) started yelling about how â€œwe don't get no breaks around here. We allowed to take a Mother F*ckin breakâ€ I said I'd like to speak to the manager she went on to say â€œSo you wanna speak to the manager? I'll call the F'in Managerâ€ she called someone and left the front yelling into the phone loud enough you could hear her in the front area. Telling him that â€œThus white Bitch come in here bitchin about us takin a Mother F*ckin break. I told her we allowed to have a F'kin break. This Bitch is trippin no I don't give a F*ck. F*ck her.â€ She hangs up after more of that and comes back laughing and smiling say ok I called the manager now what you want? I called the manager Mr. Butz and apparently disrupted his dinner with his family. I told him what happened and he said â€œok I'll speak with her on Monday. I'm sorry I'm having dinner with my family, are they writing up your rental?â€ I replied yes, his response was â€œok good, is there anything else I can do for you.â€ I asked for his bosses phone number he said â€œ I don't have it, it's on the door on your way outâ€ Really???? That's it??? Had I not been on a time constraint and in need of the van, I would've walked out! I took a picture of the owner Mike Wises contact information and I contacted him. I explained my experience and the feeling from Mr Butz that this person was going to have nothing was going to be done. Mr Wise was very attentive and said that he was â€œat a loss for wordsâ€. I told him this girl has Serious Issues and needs help. That my complaint wasn't about them having a break, but you register your pick up time why would both employees take a break at the same time? And I was angered that she brought race into the whole screaming calling me a white bitch. TOTALLY UNCALLED FOR. IF THIS IS HOW THIS LOCATION ALLOW EMPLOYEES TO TREAT PAYING CUSTOMERS I WILL NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN! We've been loyal to Uhaul all over the country and I've never had such an experience.MICHAEL R.

Well I was really happy when I checked in and picked up my vehicle, I returned it in time before they were closed. The white haired gentlemen who checked me out when I dropped off the vehicle told me to go get gas as Uhaul would charge me a fortune to refill. I told him there was not enough time as it was 5 minutes before they closed at this point. He insisted I go to save myself money and I asked him, "will you still be here since you're about to close?" He responded, "oh absolutely, don't worry!" I went two blocks away, pulled in at 7:01pm, approximately 1 minute after they closed and he was NOWHERE to be found. Doors locked, he's gone. The Missouri Ave facility was great, however Uhaul could be better organized. I went to pick up the trailer at the location I was sent to and the facility was closed when I arrived. I called Uhaul and was told a trailer was available at the facility I originally selected. Almost an hour later I got a call from Uhaul and I told the lady what happened. She said the other location was closed from covid. Not pleased with Uhaul on this day.HAROLD B.
