I felt I was over charged. I put the gas back the 7/8ths mark and I drive 14 miles less than the quote and was charged 16.00 extra dollars for gas!

Although I respect why the company does it. It's a shady business tactic to purposely not provide each new rental with a full tank of gas AND not refund the excess gas when returned. Especially with the cost of gas right now. I didn't want to bother doing the math to figure out the exact amount I used. As a result, I felt cheated out of the $24 I spent on the extra 4 gallons of gas I paid for.

The lot is pretty small and there's stuff all over the place. I think I showed up when a bunch of returns were happening. My biggest complaint is more about the 24/7 drop off app. It's definitely awesome this is an option! My problem was I was barely getting service and the site internet wouldn't work. I took a bunch of pictures and figured I'd just upload them from another location with better service. App seemed to want to grab my gps location and I couldn't upload pictures from my phone storage. That was challenging when I didn't have stable connectivity. Overall, the experience was good and the staff was helpful. Location wasn't ideal for me but it had what I needed. Happy U-Haul customer here

Don't allow your locations to run so autonomously. Everyone is a crapshoot and the vast majority are horrific. Like, 3/4 were the worst companies I've ever experienced.

The check in process online was confusing as heck. The online form asked for pictures of my passport? And contact information for my employer?! And the location did not have designated parking for cars while we rented the vans. Was told to just find street parking...

There was a high stress factor in this store. People were waiting, personnel seemed inexperienced, it felt like a mess and there was a long wait. Our uhaul van immediately notified us of low tire pressure. Unimpressed.

Horrible customer service . Condescending, entitled, bigots. Won't return to this location. Frequent customer, however this place alone left me not wanting to do business with uhaul. Gm doesn't even know how to build a good rapport with the customer, nor the employees. I tried to explain what i was doing to the associate and he literally told me he didn't care . Seriously, this representation is concerning.

paid almost 2000$ fir a rental and the truck had less than 1/4 tank of gas told the guy that it wouldn't get me to my storage place in chula vista, he just gave me a go to hell look so he starred looking gor another truck , and he told me they never do this for customers and that i was lucky they were not busy or i would have to take the truck that i was first assigned, i was ready to cancel my order and go with a different rental company had the same issues when i rented the 20 ft trailer on april 3…

The wrong fuel level was recorded and I was charged an extra $21 for gas, despite returning it at the same level as I picked it up! Also, it was a half hour wait to get to the check-in desk, despite two guys working and only 5 people ahead of me. There wasn't any customer support by way of acknowledging the long line and letting us know an estimated wait time. A simple "good morning folks! We're a little backed up, please bear with us." would have been reassuring.

The person who helped me (I think he was a manager) was AMAZING! He was so helpful and funny. I would absolutely recommend this place because of how enjoyable my interaction was with him. I didn't get his name, but he was amazing. The person who checked me in when I got returned the truck was fantastic as well. Great reviews for this place. I will be back when I need to move again.

I just completed a rental from you and in sorry but it will probably be my last. I dont like getting ripped off and taken advantage of. The situation was: I recently rented A TRAILER for a trip to Los Angeles. Upon returning to San Diego I saw that i would be 15 minutes late in returning the item. I called U-haul and spoke to an attendant. He was good and helpful and told me that an extension of 15 minutes will not incur a charge, so i had him change the return time from 4:30 to 4:45 PM. upon arriving at the u haul return AT 4:44 (standing in front of the desk) They said I had to pay an additional day rental. I spoke to them of the change and then they said it was still a charge. I disputed their claim of not "seeing" the change, then they said: "but you forgot about the mileage" AHEM!!! THERE IS NO MILEAGE ON A TRAILER!!! When I argued that they said they would not charge me.. and then proceeded to charge me an extra $18! If you people are so CREEDY that you need to vacuum the pockets of each customer for each last cent then I will NEVER rent from you again.

When returning the rental there's a sign that says to wait in the truck for someone to come out. I waited and no one came out so I went in and told said I brought the truck back and someone checked out the truck, told me how much it would be, asked if my email was correct and said I would be emailed the bill .Very easy except the sign not totally correct.
