Pickup location was 30 miles further from home than I requested during the reservation. I ended up paying extra mileage charges in the end because a truck wasn't available where I needed to pick it up. The rate should reflect where it is requested to originate, not where it ends up being available.JAMES S.

Need to consider a discount for customers already renting and no other unit available. Red Dot Storage is almost half the rate and staff unwilling to accept competitor price matching. Now in paying $49 for a 5x8 and $119 for a 8x10 which seems quite costly when I've been a customer for over a year. Generally very pleasant experience. Manager and employees all were very welcoming and willing to help and take time to explain process and equipment use to this 1st time self mover, making things a little less stressful. The wait in office was a little long at times to check in or out (multiple visits) but that seems to be typical of many businesses these days from staff shortages due to covid19. Having only one pickup truck on site caused need to change schedule but in my case was not critical.Sean T.

Where do we start? 1. If you say you will move your u-boxes to a location don't change the story with your scheduling agents once the boxes are ready to move from storage, and have the only way to move them be your sister company for more money. 2. Have friendly and competent customer service representatives. One incorrectly set us up as new customers when we scheduled the delivery of our boxes, and the next one called me a lier and told me the fact that on my side I was being charged another month of storage was a tech issue, when in fact it was not because of the previously mentioned issue which ended up leading to the boxes being incorrectly scheduled for pickup and other issed. In addition when the delivery date in the system is incorrect do not insult the customer and further infer that they are a lier when they have an issue with waiting until the next day to deal with the incorrect delivery day when the incorrect day is the next day. Empower them to problem solve, implement change, and have empathy. Third customer service rep did two of three. 3. When you have already incorrectly scheduled someone's pickup day for boxes when the correct day comes around do not tell them you cannot have their boxes ready for the movers, hired from your sister company, on the correct day (which was the day after you incorrectly had them scheduled so they should have already been ready), nor not have the correct equipment ready for the moving of the boxes when all steps and movers were selected based on what your schedulers said needed to happen to have the boxes moved. Also don't say to use your sister company to move if they don't have the equipment either. If our movers had not been creative, I am not sure we would have gotten our stuff,, and then what? What should have taken a few hours took the whole day and rearranging of schedules. Time with family and friends that cannot be gotten back.. Between UHaul and your sister company I was insulted, angered, frustrated, and made to cry on at least three different occasions. You made an already difficult and stressful event become easily one of the worst experiences of my life. I will never, ever use your company again, and I will tell everyone I know or have contact with who is considering moving not to use your company.Aubrey A.

We are glad that we used a U-Box. It was a great way to move our belongings. It was easy to work with. Items could be well secured in the box. We had more furnature pads than we needed for furnature. This was a good way to move. Advertise the U-Box more.Kate D.

Employees and manager are very friendly and helpful. Though waiting time was long on phone and at location when picking up 2nd ubox. Likely covid related understaffing, actual time to unload full box and get webbed was quick maybe 15 minutes of hour suite visit. Trailer was missing chocks for tires. Rear ramp needed to be hammered out of retainer. Missing 1 stabilizer. Didn't notice missing items since 1st time renting and these items aren't in list of things to check when confirming condition.Sean T.

To the uhaul coporation specificallyâ€¦ respect your customers the experience of working with you was horrible. My pickup location was changed extremely last minute. And when I explained this would not fit into my moving plans I was told I was alerted a full 24hours before I actually was. I was not offered any reimbursement to make up for the drain on my time. I would recommend this facility because it's very well maintained. However I would have given a higher rating but I expected friendlier service from the GM. You have a GM that seems put off by the customers questions and giving off the sense that he was uninterested in be there to open a store. My advise to the GM, It doesn't matter what time of day it is leave your problems at the door and treat your customers like your paycheck depends on it.Lillian J.

I signed up on line then went yesterday to make sure I got it right. The young man that was there was very kind and helpful, he showed my unit, explained everything about how to use the facility and got me a closer unit because it's hard for me to walk. I had the best experience with this Uhaul location! I got covid the day before my scheduled move! They were so understanding and accommodating. I had to reschedule my move 3 times, yet they were courteous and so wonderful about everything and the delays. I am also renting a storage space from this same location. It is so clean, easy access, plenty of flatbed dollies to move things with. It's a great place and I will recommend you to everyone I know!Rebecca W.

The employee that hooked up the trailer we rented did not tighten the clamp down on the ball hitch. I was driving down the road and hit a pot hole and the trailer came off the hitch and rammed into my bumper and dented it. This was a very dangerous situation. I was in heavy traffic and luckily the chains did their job and the trailer didn't go into oncoming traffic or didn't hit another vehicle behind us. I have filed a claim for my bumper with the U-Haul insurance as this was employee negligence for not securing the trailer as it should have been. When I went to hook the trailer up myself, the employee asked me to move aside that he would hook it up. I trusted him. I learned a huge lesson. This could have been disastrous.BONNIE G.

Have more than one person working the counter when you have a rush of people checking in on a Saturday morning. I reserved a 15' van for 3 hours beginning at 10am. I arrived at 9.50am. It was 10:30am by the time I got my van. I was still required to have back 1pm. All because there was only 1 guy (Patrick) checking people in and fetching vans.Kyle S.

Asked directly if they checked the tire pressure. He said yes but when I got home and loaded the car the tire was flat. Called and asked to speak to a manager as the person I was talking with did not know how to handle this. Managers never called I was left to fend for myself.Mark W.

Well maintained facility, easy contacless setup was very good during pandemic. After accessing my new storage unit, I did later stop by the office and the staff was great, very helpful. Best Uhaul experience and best storage facility experience I've had and I've been using Uhaul and other moving/storage services all around the country for over twenty years.
