The truck smelled like weed. Kathy was wonderful and helped us after a long ordeal or our first reservation failing when we drove to pick up a trailer that wasn't there. She was kind and patient and answered all our questions. She sprayed down the trailer with deodorizer which helped. Still, I hope our clothes and belongings don't wind up smelling like weed.TODD M.

Ok. Get ready. We had ordered a 26ft truck, got called the day before our move with the message that the reserved vehicle had been placed in the shop, and no 26ft truck was available within 100 mi radius. If we wanted a 20ft truck, we could drive 40miles to East Mesa to get one. Apart from charming, that is about a 4,000lbs load difference. With no other option, we stuffed and loaded the 20ft 'possibly' to the MAX. Mind you, the people at the locations were always the best! Then, the agent at the van rental place (we had to pick up the auto transport elsewhere) told us our intended drop off (Covel Blv, Davis, CA) would be closed on Sundays, and transferred us to Tide Crt, Woodland. Unfortunately, the contract/reservation online didn't reflect that, so when we dropped it off after hours, we were charged an additional $20 for overnight parking, because we couldn't do the online checkout thing, as that still had the drop off as Covel Blv, Davis. Again, the people were the best, the equipment A1, but the experience was 'dented' by whatever does dispatch behind the scenes. It could so easily have been perfect. Now, it wasn't. And forcing customers to load the equipment to the 'MAX' like we were forced to do is inviting disaster.Arne K.

I received the van filthy dirty and took it home to wash it before I used it. I rented it Sunday October 3. and was charged and paid to rent it. I returned it October 4. The person who checked it in said the van wasn't cleaned out. I told her I got the vehicle dirty and took it home to wash it. I wasn't told I had to sweep it out and didn't appreciate her attitude. I have rented other vehicles in the past and was told to sweep out the vehicle before bringing it back. I won't be using that U Haul again.RANDALL E.
First off, how is a guaranteed reservation really a guarantee when my truck was double booked and I was refused my truck. Only to be told my only option was a truck half the size in a town 20 miles away. I was told I would still have to pay the mileage which was 40 miles longer than I needed as I was only moving 6 miles away. My rental was supposed to be at 1130am 2 hours later I was able to dive 20 miles away and pick up another truck. I had laborers at my house being paid an additional 2 hours to sit and wait for me. This is absolutely unacceptable, and the frosting on this cake was asking the person I turn the truck back into how this guarantee worked and they simply said they had no idea. This day cost me an additional 350$ that I didn't have! And several hours more than it ever should have.MATT T.

1st the yard guy is going to have a back injury if he keeps trying to lift the tongue of the trailers. 2nd I find your new calling the customer cell phone and calling a second person is a little over the top for $1500 trailer. I rent million dollar equipment and don't go through anything this crazy. I think I'll be renting else were. I felt like I was being interrogated.AARON B.

when I arrived I was given a 20 ft van on EMPTY I went to a gas station and put in $20.00 of gas. After doing to my job site I noticed the gas was leaking form he gas tank A MAJOR FIRE HAZARD. I immediately drove back to the location and got another van ALSO ON EMPTY. I WENT TO ANOTHER CHEVRON STATION AT $4.29 PER GALLON FOR $20.00 Then went to my job site and had to put another $20.00 of gas so $60.00 total. After delivering my supplies I went to turn in the van. I did get a credit for my gas but nothing for my inconvience.KURTIS S.

This place was perfect for the distance of where I dropped off my stuff, originally it was somewhere else and not convenient but after a few calls got it switched to this location and it worked out great. Super clean office and staff very friendly and helpful. Thank yougrace G.

Tuesday I had a great experience today was the worst experience I have ever had the lady didn't do the simplest duty's of confirming phone numbers nor a secondary number nothing she then ask me how to do the chains on the trailer and didn't even help see if my lights where working no load safety check I had to do all that which should be done in my opinion by both uhaul and the driver but that besides the point super unprofessional then upon returning waited over 30 min for someone to check my return back in just to have her help the next person in line instead of me clearly the worst service ever given or received I feel extremely disrespected at the end of a long Friday. And that's stupid to have to deal with special at a uhaul main centerAustin R.
