The uhaul they gave me while yes it was clean but when I went to refill the fuel it took about 15 minutes to get the gas back to where it was because I had to barely squeeze the gas pump or it would click off. Which I went over the amount that was to be in it then they charged me for not putting enough back in it.. I have always used uhaul when I needed a truck in the past but this may be my last time.Erik R.

Truck has transmission issues, air conditioning just stopped working during moving and never came back on, truck was making all kinds of weird noises sounded like a child screaming when taking off! I'm VERY UPSET AND DISSATISFIED with my experience with Uhaul today (9/08/2002) after receiving my truck I did my inspection as instructed of the vechile. After arriving at my destination to pick up NEW furniture while loading the one of my movers slipped on something wet on the inside only to learn it was wet paint. Someone had paint the floor board ( unbeknownst to me) and it got onto my workers shoes, leading to them tracking the paint on my furniture and home floor. I explained this information to the clerk and assured me that I wouldn't be charged for the maintaining. Consequently some of the paint did stick to the floor . Not to mention that I was charged for gas I'd already fue up. An extra $10.00. I'm terribly disappointed and would some FEED BACK from a company representative.Sharon M.
The location didn't have the size truck that I reserved and when I returned it, the fuel nozzle dropped right when I pulled the truck into the lot and I got hit with an extra $20 fuel surcharge even though I'd just put gas in the tank to return it to the level it was at upon rental.Angelica W.

I took the uhaul from the location to my house and it got a flat tire. I called and they said they had another truck for us to use so we went back and the informed us that they had no other trucks. They told me I needed to call the uhaul road side assistance myself and they weren't going to help me. After I said it was their fault they gave me a truck with a slashed tire they said â€œoh yeah, one lady was pretty mad at usâ€ then they said would take $50 off my transaction but they never did. Never getting a uhaul again if this is how they going to treat me.Olivia S.

The truck smelled of cigarettes but was okay otherwise. The staff was excellent. My truck was ready to pickup on time and check in was quick. I accidentally left something in the bed of the truck, went back the next day, and they returned it to me without any questions. Trying to use the app didn't work well for me at all.Robert C.

The employees were friendly and helpful. However, the check-in/pickup process was confusing. I did not get valid information via email on how to check in. I was not informed that I would be required to both check in via the website, and wait in line, so I felt it was a waste of valuable time that I could have used for moving. The online check-in also did not work with my phone security settings. I was required to change my security settings and turn on location services just to use the online check-in. Once we finally arrived, the items that I had purchased were not inside the truck (as the service desk person told me they would be), so I had to come inside twice. Then, when we received the truck, the driver's side mirror did not work. We didn't realize this until we started driving. It kept flapping in the wind, so that it was impossible to properly adjust, and we could not use it. We had to keep the window rolled down while we were driving on the freeway and manually adjust the mirror approximately every 30-60 seconds. This was not a safe way to be driving the truck. As I stated, the employees were very kind and helpful, but the check-in process was not smooth at all, and the vehicle I was given was not safe to drive. I'm really disappointed that I spent $140 to move with such an inadequate and dangerous vehicle.Amy D.

I called the U-haul 800 number to reserve a unit at a facility that had a 1st floor unit available. I had to go to a location further away but was assured by the representative that a 1st floor unit had been reserved for me at this location. When i showed up at the facility I was told that I was being given a 2nd floor unit. I explained that I had spoken with a rep through the Uhaul 800 number and had been assured I was reserving a 1st floor unit. The owner basically told me I was out of luck and she had no 1st floor units available. I was utilizing a 1 month free offer based on a 1 way truck rental so i believe this lady (I did not get her name but her shirt said "owner") didn't want to give me a 1st floor unit since i was only using it for a month. On top of that, she was rude. I have 3 kids in college at Ohio State and have been, will be for the next several years, will need to rent trucks and storage facilities in Columbus to move them in and out of apartments and store their furniture in the summer months. I hope my stuff is going to be ok as the roof looks like it has been patched several times and leaks.. I called and let them know I would be there 3 mins before the inside closed the lady said ok.. In the beginning I had a good experience with the uhaul staff. I caught Corona virus back in late March. I was so sick I had forgotten to pay the storage fee for April. I was feeling better and able to talk so I called to let the staff know what was going on around mid April and I paid the same day. Also this is my first missed payment. I haven't been to the storage unit since I've put my Things in there. I paid for the month of May on time. On May 29th I come to retrieve my things from storage, because I didn't need the unit anymore and my key doesn't Fit The Lock. I tell the staff no one knows why and says they can't help me. I had to pay $100 for a lock Smith to remove the lock. Im not stupid I know One of uhaul staff members changed my lock because of my late payment in April and they never changed my lock back. The Manager said he doesn't have any notes or keys for my unit. I know They didn't have any more red tags so they used a different lock to keep me out. There's no way my key shouldn't have worked. I understand being locked out for non payment but when I paid, it should've been fixed or uhaul staff should've took the lock off instead of me having to pay a lock Smith for a problem I didn't create. It was a very busy day and there was a wait time, even though I reserved ahead. But everyone was helpful and pleasant regardless. The original unit was too small, and staff was very accommodating with changing to a different unit. The staff was disrespectful the day we went to remove all of our belongings and close out our month. We ran in to an issue with them not having a utility dolly for us to use but we had been charged for one, and did not try to help us in any way to find a solution. All they did was laugh in our face and told us to figure it out. I was really disappointed and upset that I reached out to uhaul customer service while in store and they worked to help us find a dolly nearby at another location and we were able to complete our move out. The outside units are till 10pm. Wish they could be till midnight. Also everything I opened the door the alarm would go off. I hope I'm not setting it off.
