LASHAWNE E.Overall my experience with Uhaul was significantly lower than average. I booked a pick up at 10:30 am and when I showed to pick it up my order wasn't assigned and therefore wasn't ready for pick up . Center was closed although UHAUL's internal system showed it opens at 9:30. After 50 mins of wait and working with UHUAL customer service team, we changed the pick up location. On one had I'm glad you were able to help and still get me the rental I needed but after wasting nearly 75 mins of my time.

Lillian B. | Overall ExperienceI instantly felt violated and that my personal safety is at-risk from the actions and statements made during the initial rental encounter and have strong reason to believe my rights to privacy were violated. I rendered the same valid form of government issued identification that indicates my us military affiliation in the past 4 years between storage unit and numerous truck rentals. As I was initiating the rental contract inside the Westland rental location; a middle-older aged female of what appeared to be European decent lifted what appeared to be her personal cellphone and demanded she take a photo of me without my permission. When I inquired why she was taking pictures of me, she failed to confirm if it was her personal equipment, company policy, practices, or her own means to verify my identity if, “I don't return the rental.†Again, I referenced my long history with uhual inclusive of a one-way multi-state move, being military, and that her statements grossly mischaracterized my history as a long-term uhual customer. When I encountered an issue utilizing the self-guided options, I contacted customer service and requested an extension of the rental contract. I would wait on hold for hours and eventually spoke with two representatives who would provide me with the numbers to contact someone to assist in a contract extension. Over 6 hours on hold, failed automated call backs, and unusable weblinks; I contacted a person in management would has yet to return my call. Despite my request to simply extend my rental return due to a personal emergency a uhual employee or the likes of took it upon herself to leave the following remarks as a voicemail message on my voicemail. “Hello this is Susan calling from uhaul calling to let you know that you are late you're supposed to return it on the first right now they are calling the cops and will be putting a felony arrest warrant out for you if you need to bring your truck back as soon as possible thank you bye-bye…â€

Jose A.Paige West called and was very disrespectful and threatening to my daughter about a missing key. The whole time the key was in the lock box. I almost felt like the company was Paige will haul it for you instead of Uhaul. Paige needs a few more customer care classes! I understand they could not find the key. I just couldn't understand why Paige was ready to actually fight for a key that was on property!

Terrance H.I have a complaint about my reservation and not this location. I reserved a truck AND trailer at a location close to my house. You guys called me up and told me that I had to go to a different far away location for my truck and yet another far away location for my trailer. The day of pickup was a lot of driving and stress.
Kristian O.We walked in without a reservation, plenty of units in the parking lot. The woman said nothing was available after waiting in line for a half hour. We went to the car visibly upset since we started moving furniture already. So we decided to make a reservation online to make sure the unit was available, if it had to be the next day then we would deal with it. We go on the website and it says the unit we need can be picked up in 10 minutes at the location we were just turned away from. We were confused, the woman just told us they had nothing? We go ahead and make the reservation just to see what would happen. We walk in with our reservation and she processes it and we get our unit. Obviously there were units available, no idea why the reservation needs to be made online for her to be honest about having available units. Not good customer service. Literally used the trailer for 2 hours. No idea why she had to send us away empty handed the first time for us to turn right around and get something. Obviously there is some sort of computer knowledge she's lacking or she just didn't want to put our information in. Very annoying and makes us not want to return to that location.

My reservation was cancelled at another location without notice, which was selected for me by U-Haul reservations based on available equipment. I drove to the Westland location, which is my preferred location, and they were able to put a rental together that fit my needs.

stacey W.Never received a discount on my rental when my gas tank was a little over half way filled and had to put 30 in the tank instead of the 15 I used. Would never recommend this location to anyone. Pour Managment and follow up with I will give you a discount when I shut the truck off and went to show him the gas gage before I even left.
Aaron J.The self checkin website did not work for me when I got to the “is the trailer clean†section. It would not let me proceed after uploading the photo. I tried several times and gave up and left the trailer without checking it in. It appears the staff checked it in this morning with no extra fees or charges.

Douglas R.Maybe have a quick pass line or something for people that do all their information online. I had to wait a half hour for my stuff just to immediately be good to go once I checked in. I did the online stuff to be faster. Not take as long as everyone else. Other then that, great experience. Not the employees fault. Just not enough people to help fast enough.
James B.Prudent for U-Haul to have gas filled up before renting truck out to customers to avoid ripping customers off for non working gas guage. Manager fixated on policy of non refund without consideration to the plight of the customer and the circumstances. Shame on the manger for not disputing the gas tank was full. To avoid this, future rentals must have gas fill up full. U-Haul will not file for bankruptcy for refunding my money. Very disappointed.
Kwadwo O.My drop off experience on 5/6/22 was good and I was impressed with the size and quality of the location. However, my wife's pick up experience on 5/5/22 was not nearly as good. She said the person taking care of her was quite rude. Unfortunately, I do not have a name to give you, but it should be in the pickup details.

Kevin K.U-Haul needs to fix it fuel calculator. I drove only 6 miles, put 3/4 gallon of gas in the tank which is more than enough for 6 miles. Your calculator wanted to bill be $11.00 for fuel. That is just ridiculous. Your staff did not charge me and no other issues. Best regards, Ed.

I called the office and explained that the unit was never used and was empty and that I had lost the key to cut the lock. I do NOT have access to a car and am disabled. The office staff continued to bill me afer I cancelled the unit. I have made a complaint to the BBB and will be making a complaint about being discriminated against because I am disabled. I have proof that I completed the cancellation request and was paid in full. If someone can call me to fix this I will be happy to withdraw my complaint. 734-833-8603. Thank you Sheri Naidus

So i moved to another company all together that was able to meer my needs. The black lady manager was awesome. I vacated my unit nearly 2 weeks early and they said no refund for prorate. I will not send anyone here, nor will i rent from Uhaul at this location.

Then I was given a reprogrammed used access card. When I get to my unit there is a lien lock and customer lock. They then open their lock and cut the old lock off, and there was an old mattress in the unit I had reserved.

Trying to get storage unit situated they left truck on which I didn't know was on and went from Wayne rd to Newburgh and brought back which should be very near gas line and I was charged $20. If they would've left keys out I wouldn't have to gas up smh. Come in at 6:57 was told that they would've to process me for next day so this is just poor
