The customer service by Ryan especially was slow and poor. He maintained an “attitude” during this recent visit and even the one prior when I secured a storage unit. No dolly was left in our truck as I requested when making the reservation with owner, Micheal Reyes nor did I know that the $189 was to be paid later along with an added $50 for this and taxes at the time I made the phone reservation with Mr. Reyes. This was one of the worse experiences I’ve ever had.

Front office assistance poorly trained. Was there 45 minutes at desk and had already pre reserved. Manager finally helped after 35 minutes and resolved quickly but knew there were problems before then. Truck dusty on inside and dirty on outside. Truck struggled to change into higher gears pulling small sports car on hauler. Transmission needs work. Disappointed that manager let a friendly but insufficiently trained person struggle so long at the expense of a customer.

The interior of the cab and the inside of the truck were clean enough, the outside of the front of the cab was totally covered in love bugs. The guys working at the Uhaul office appeared to be working very hard and I can see how washing a truck was not something they might have had time to do. I’ve been renting from Uhaul for over thirty years and it always seems there are not enough people working. The people working there are ALWAYS polite friendly and very helpful. I just always wish they had more of them so they didn’t feel so rushed when customers are waiting.

Please consider adjusting your billing calculation procedure for my particular situation. I moved from Fairhope, AL, near where I picked up the truck to Port Charlotte, FL. Port Charlotte is about 90 miles south of Tampa. However, we were flying back to AL from Tampa after dropping off the load at our new home, so we had to drop off the truck at a location near the Tampa airport. This resulted in excess mileage charged to my contract. Although I knew this in advance, I believe a more flexible route planning procedure is needed to account for this type of situation.

Person that took care of us wasn't friendly or courteous. The truck they gave me wasn't clean and I had to tell the associate that the truck was given to me almost empty and they put on the paper was half tank. Over all not good customer service.

I’m unsatisfied with the storage every time I Go to drop something off it’s so over crowded. On Sunday’s it’s horrible the same drive entrances is used an exit there’s no other it’s dangerous.

I wish that the large sliding glass doors at the loading area for the storage units, was usable on a 24/7 basis. It's shut down after a certain hour, and 24/7 patrons must use the much smaller swing door. That becomes a chore when trying to move large items ( such as furniture in ) or out. Otherwise , the facility is fine , and the staff is helpful and polite .

This Location is fine. Gandy location is crap I show up an hour late because of a doctor appointment. Immediately the lady is rude. Saying I was late. And just “barely” made the deadline. I reserved the trailer so it should have been there if I was paying for it anyway. Then I go wait in line behind two other customers. They get hooked up I get to the front and the employees say they don’t have enough wires to wire up so I would have to go check another store for wires.had to get another trailer from here 30 min away. Then get the run around cause my equipment was ready so I couldn’t get my $50 so I drive 1 hour out of the way. To get my trailer and bam. I got drive another hour to take it back to the trailer location I picked it up from. Buckshot so upset

I have attempted 7 calls, 3 emails and one time stopping into the store I rented a trailer on an In Town rental. I returned it the same day back to the same location. I was charged 2 days and should have only been charged one day. Getting the run around for 9 days now with many different excuses why they cannot assist. Losing patience. Please help. I needed a truck to travel from this location to my home in Valrico. Michael said they only had vehicles that had to be returned to them. I had to move some goods and was under a time constrant. I took the truck picked up my goods and brought them out to my storage unit in Brandon. I took the truck back to a uhaul location and was told this was a round trip vehicle and had to be returned to the location I rented it from. They told me I should have gotten a one way truck rental. I brought it back to the Tampa location. I spoke to the owner/manager and asked him why did he not tell me I could have rented a one way truck and he told me he had none available. I told him he should have told me that and sent me to a uhaul place that had one way vehicles available, he just laughed. I had no idea I could have been told about getting a one way vehicle from another location. By having me do a round trip with this vehicle, I paid for double mileage and gas, plus my time. I feel that this was a good way of increasing the bottom line and profit made. He thought the whole thing was funny. I told him our conversation had been voice and video recorded by his own equiptment and he thought that was funny also. I expect my extra money that I was charged for the round trip rental, plus the extra gas charge, and my time to be paid to me. I also told him I was going to do my best to have him fired and he thought that was also funny. Good help is hard to find and you failed with him. I wonder how many other people he has done this to? I need to do my best to make sure this does not happen to anyone else. I expect to be told that he has been fired. If not I will just keep this going until he is fired. I am a retired Connecticut State Police Lieutenant and have all the time in the world to see this through to the end, by any means necessary.

2 observations... Excuse my English, it's not good yet... 1.- The truck was not clean or vacuumed when I picked it up 2.- I could not connect the brake lights of my trailer, because the plug in is different... Drive 3 days without stop lights... U-Haul should also supply the adapter... everything else very well, the truck worked perfect...

Really very good, 5 stars, 10/10 and the golden buzzer. Personally, I would like to thank Guilliem and Kyle for good service and attention to detail.Big range of vehicles and consumables hereas welll as hitch accessories Something UHaul should do though. Please allow +0 phone entries in your online and store computer data entry forms; at least for visa free entry customers. This will speed up your processes as well as allow direct cell calls to remot customers. Big thanks again -Rob

This location per-say was not the problem. UHAUL IS! Ruined a very well planned move and turned it into a nightmare. The fiasco is way too long to explain here. Long story short - Just because you rent one size doesn't mean that is the size you are going to get. Call the day before to confirm and don't let my mess happen to you! Messed up UHAUL - you messed up big time. 9 run around phone calls spanning 2 days, misinformation, wrong information all the way to "I don't know" information from just about every single person I spoke to. I never rented from any other company but I will be now. The incompetency of your scheduling employees (for the most part) is deplorable. This entire move was nothing but a headache that had nothing to do with the actual moving of my items (other than having to make 2 unnecessary trips because of your screw up). Forget about saving money here ---- save your sanity and go someplace else!

YOU GUYS ROCK. When I called the main reservation line, they said there were no 10' or 15' trucks in the entire Tampa Bay area for Saturday 3/2. I called this location directly, and they had a 15' on the date and time I needed, no problem. I was elated. Thank you guys at the West Tampa location for your great service. I've used you guys a couple times now, and I am always pleased.

I just have a complaint. Nobody explained to me that if my storage space didn't have AC my mattress would get mold. If somebody would told me that I would sure get the one with AC. I THREW IT AWAY
