I didn't like the fact that it's was roaches in the truck and the gas wasn't on half like they told me to return it on so I had to pay extra money to fill it up plus from my use. I had a bad experience with this truck.Sharon L.
Truck I was given was very smokey. I had to clean it myself and leave it to air out for a while before being willing to put my own furniture in it. When I mentioned this, I was then charged for a cleaning fee which I had to argue. This was fortunately removed, however no other compensation or even apology for the frustration or time. Breaks were also terrible, entire truck shakes when breaking. Have had many uhauls over the years, this was by far the worst experience. I will likely look for any other option I can find in the future to avoid having to deal with this again. Overall a very poor experience.Evan V.
The location is good. Check-in and moving my boxes in was a breeze. That part went very smoothly. I found a vertical beam in the middle of my 5 x 10 space without being told that it was there. It was very nice to have a bathroom on the second floor with plenty of water, soap and paper, however it did not appear to be very clean.Alan S. | First Impressions

Rep was too busy visiting with friends outside. Came in to wait on me but felt like I was pushed thru. TPMS light was on and clerk said to ignore. Upon return, 1 hour later, still outside with same friends. Return lane full, took keys, and said I was all set. Had lot less mileage than he set me up for. Well, I will say equipment and facility were great. associate said I would be billed for (1) day. but I see (2) charges in the online banking I was also told I would be emailed an invoice. but out of the (37) uhaul emails I have received on this transaction... none are an invoicePaul S.
I was very afraid every time I was in the elevator and it was out of order the day that I had to move a couch out and had to take it down the stairs. The lights shut off automatically one day when I was organizing my unit and left me in the dark until I walked down the hall aways and it came back on. All employees i interacted with were terrible in providing good customer service, slow moving and seemingly lazy. They also were on there personal phone, I had to grab there attention each time. At the end, I asked for a paper copy of the receipt and was told that it was not possible. I ended up leaving an item by accident so I tried calling this very slow location, was on hold for over 45 minutes, drove to location while waiting and found that the employee was in the office chatting up a storm with a friend or family member, No customers to hold them up from answering the phone. So yea. I'd also find another storage unit with another location or company if it wasn't convenient at this time.JD S.
The location and employees were great they worked with me on picking up the truck and leaving the key in a lock box . But the online pick up was the absolute worse I spent over 2 hours on the phone with a young women who also was wonderful walking us through the process until it worked . That uhal sounded like it was BROKEN. I didn't not feel safe driving itâ€¦ also they left a dolly and moving blanket in there, that I didn't pay for. Im too much of a dumb drunk to check if they charged me extra for that. The engine was SCREAMING when i accelerated i would rather drive my own broke down shit box car if i knew i was going to kill myself or someone else when i get on the highway. It took over 20 minutes to pick up the van. There seemed to be an issue with the computer and even though I had signed up online and they had all of my information and credit card, it still took over 20 minutes. The other was a safety issue as the left-hand rear turn signal was not functioning. The trucks need to be inspected before they are sent out.John F.

I was charged around $50 for gas even though I filled it back, & returned it, to where the gauge was when I first took it. This was not my first time renting a UHaul truck - so, I know better than to return a rental without having filed it to where it was when I picked it up. I'm very disappointed with whoever attempted to scam me out of my hard-earned money. In the future, if I ever have a need for a rental truck, I will think twice about going through UHaul. Customer service from M. Cortez @ the 1106 East Ridge location was terrible. He definitely could benefit from understanding that customer service is the only way to keep businesses open and referrals to frequent these establishments. The representatives at the other East Ridge location where I had to retrieve the appliance dolly that I reserved, which wasn't available at the original location were extremely polite and helpful. I plan to call the 800# on 4/25/22, as the wait time today was too excessive +(35) minutes.Terrence K.

Check in to storage unit was hurried even though I was the only customer there. As a first time storage unit renter the attendant seemed to rush through the directions and a bit miffed when I ask for clarification. Also- the recommended size of a 10X10 storage bin for a 15' truck was not accurate. I suspect many of my boxes, and furniture will be crushed when I go to retrieve it. It should have been the 10 X 15 size!! Not the fault of the movers. They did the best they could.Lynn W.

I had reserved a truck and utility dolly an entire month in advance of my move on March 13th. I received no contact/email/text regarding the need to upload my license prior to picking up the truck and equipment which I then had to do then and there eating into my reservation time. Then as I'm trying to fiddle around with my phone to upload my license, the representative informs me that there is no utility dolly available. I was never contacted regarding this and I was offered an appliance dolly instead. If I wanted or needed an appliance dolly I would have reserved one. I needed a utility dolly for non-appliance items. The representative explained that other individuals moving may ultimately keep them, and are charged accordingly, or that people take them back to the other Uhaul location further down the road. My reservation was for first thing in the morning on a Sunday, meaning 9AM, so at or around closing time of the prior day, employees but more specifically MANAGEMENT, should have confirmed that the location was adequately stocked with the equipment customers had reserved for the following day. If the equipment was not available then appropriate measures should have been taken to coordinate with other locations to ensure a smooth operation the following day OR at the very least inform the customer in advance. I was then told that I would have to personally go to another location, which was in the opposite direction I needed to go for my move, explain to the employees there what my situation is, and use a dolly from there. This was incredibly inconvenient and ate away further at my four hour reservation time. I also had to return the dolly to this location, but drop off the truck at the 1106 E. Ridge Rd address causing unnecessary additional mileage. I will never use this location again and will likely hire a professional moving company in the future. People take the time to plan their moves, which is already an incredibly stressful time, and to add undue stress by way of poor planning, poor communication, and poor service...well, there's just no excuse. The facility is great and able to be accessed easily. the first unit had a strange post inconveniently dissecting the space making it not good for large furniture. we discovered this only when we got there fully ready to unload. man working was rude, not only to me but the 9 month pregnant lady before me. i got there at 11:30am, he had a panic attack and threatened to kill himself then locked himself in an office. cops came, ambulance came. couldn't get my truck until past 2 waited for HOURS, lost $200 from my movers because they were paid hourly and there wasn't anything i could about that. was charged twice by uhaul for the truck. man was calling me a dumb b**** under his breath, i was so SO understanding that he was having a bad day, i asked "hey are you okay, why are you acting like this are you having a bad day" and his response was " WOULD YOU WANT TO BE WORKING AT UHAUL??" if you don't want to work here and it makes you THAT MISERABLE that you have to disrespect customers especially a 9 month pregnant woman then simply don't, clearly it's not good for your mental health and there are mannnny entry level jobs hiring right now. I understand hurt people hurt people and if he was just like yeah today sucked i could have been so nice and understanding but i told him i ordered mats and he's claiming i didn't while i have the receipt right in my hand then mumbling dumb b**** under his breath i completely lost it, i refuse to be called that nor will i stand for that as a woman. i need my multiple charges refunded and will keep showing up until they are. this is completely ridiculous. I had to take my DOCTOR PRESCRIBED ANXIETY MEDICINE THAT IS IN MY NAME FOR PANIC ATTACKS then he's calling me a pill popper? Nahhhhhh you got the wrong one. It's clean, well lit, and Shaun was great to work with - but the unit is not secure. Anyone who has ever rented there knows they can just walk in through the front center doors (which automatically open for anyone passing by) and choose which unit they wish to break into. They then can walk back outside and disarm that unit allowing them to go back in and pick the lock (which is not difficult) or cut the latch and remove the lock altogether (which happened to me in a previous storage unit).
