Did drop-off at this location also - signage said to remain with equipment and you would be helped. After 30 minutes I went on-line and did a self drop-off. I then went inside and the counter person was sitting there playing on his phone? All he said was are the keys in it. How hard would it be to change the signs and say to log on-line or go inside? Not user friendly, and even though I said the equipment was clean, I had the mats pulled out and hosed down, and the inside wiped down before returning so it was ready for the next user.DAVID B F.

I rent stuff here all the time. Matt goes above and beyond. The young man who opens on Saturday morning 4/3/21 and 4/10/21 has no customer service skills. He is rude and really needs training or he needs to find a job he likes. He makes you feel like you are wrong for every question you ask and that you are bothering him.STEPHENNILES JR R.

It should not be promoted that the trucks are $20 when you are forced to have the insurance on top of the and all the fees. I can live with that but the most upsetting is that they would rent out a truck that's not 4 wheel drive and no snow tiers in upstate NY. I've used U-haul @ this Washington st location, on many different occasions. Not this most recent time, but the time before the service was terrible. I got stuck dealing with a unprofessional, disrespectful angry lady. She wasn't there this current time so maybe Mr. Manager took some advice or finally received one too many complaints. However, the gentleman w the darker hair, 5'7 - 5'8 height. He was the kind of guy I would hire to manage my business, if you see this, gimme a shout bud. Excellent service, thanks again. Equalize your rental costs. I rented this in NYS for a one way rental to Florida, my cost was $688 plus taxes and fees. I checked in Florida to rent one back to NYS and the rental base fee was only $278. I will be contacting U-Haul directly to discuss their differences in fees according to locations.Barbara T.

I made my reservation to pick up the trailer at 9:30 am. By the the time the representative was done with the customer before me it was past 10 am. No problem .I totally understand that. By the time the trailer was connected to the car it was approximately 10:15-10:30 am. On the contract the representative wrote that my return time was 9:00am. This I realized the morning I had to return the trailer. I had to run like a friek to be able to deliver it on the time written on the contract. Had the correct time been inscribed on the contract I would have made it easily without having to rush. Also on another note, I bought - at this U-Haul location - a brand new 9' x12' orange tarp. When I got to the Walmart on the north side of Watertown I decided that it might rain so I unfolded the tarp to find out that the individual who opened the crate or box in which the tarps were sent from the manufacturer, had opened the box with a razor box opener and, at the same time sliced right through the box, the wrapping in which the tarps came in, AND the trap. So here I was with a brand new tarp absolutely useless because it was sliced through and through every 14 inches or so. It was also sliced for 10 inches every 6 inches on the long side. In other words a sieve! I had no time to back track to the U-Haul location which is on the other side of town - the south side-. So I had to forgo the use of the tarp which was good for only one thing: the trash. So I am not too happy with the service to say the least.CHRISTIAN G.

Let me just say that the owner: Matt is awesome. I had made my trailer reservation on the App and arrived at my time to pick it up. Somehow U Haul deleted the reservation and I blame myself for not double checking the night before. Matt went out of his way to let me take the trailer. Of course due to several situations beyond my control I again returned it past my expected time. U Haul was set to charge me a second day but someone (likely Matt) reversed the extra day. I couldn't be happier and now I know to double check the day before!MICHAELG S.

Staff should actually do their job and earn the customer's trust. I returned an equipment and a whole branch manager won't put it in the system that it is returned. Only for me to call 24 hours later for a rebate he told me he was going to do and someone else was telling me the equipment still shows not returned in the system.
