I selected to do the contactless method to obtain the truck but the online application would not allow it when I arrived so I had to go into the store to complete the transaction. Then when the employee went to the box to give me my key, she said all of the keys were in the wrong boxes so it wouldn't have worked anyway. The truck was in great condition (the driver side door stuck a little when trying to shut it but nothing to delay our use of the vehicle) and the return process was very fast and the gentleman was very friendly.

I did everything by mobile device because I did not want to have to wait in a line. I was on a time crunch like most people that are moving. I stood in line for 10 mins, okay that's fine. The problem was when the lady was done helping the customer in front of me she told me I had to wait for someone else to come in because it was time for her to get off. Mind you all I needed was a key. I said well all I need is a key. She still grabbed her coffee and left. I had to go outside find the guy just for him to come inside and hand me a key. She was very rude and unprofessional!

When unloading the trailer in the evening - discovered the trailer was infested with Roaches! There were dead and live roaches with babies. We noticed several behind the wood side rails as it appears that is where they are hiding. I informed the sales person at the drop off location and she made a note on my account. VERY DISAPPOINTED. I hope I do not end up with Roaches in my house. Once we noticed the roaches - we put the remainder of the furniture in the garage instead of the house.

This location is not in a good area of Warren. The truck was not packed with the blankets I ordered.

The woman that helped me today was very friendly and helpful. The only thing I feel that needs improved is the website showing the actual availability. I had to go from the Austintown location to Warren as there were not any trucks available in Austintown. The websites are never showing the correct availability which can be a bit frustrating.

When I went to pick-up my 24/7 truck share van, my vehicle was unobtainable. I had to call customer service at 11pm to find out that had to return at 7am, or drive to another location even further away. I spoke with customer service agent Ricardo. He did a nice job troubleshooting for me but what was offered was only going to make my rental experience more inconvenient. He did offer me the 50 dollar Guarantee. All that being said, I was substantially late getting to my destination, the extra running back and forth cost me , time , money , and sleep. Where I understand that mistakes happen I was still pretty disappointed in the 24/7 program and I will be more cautious of using it in a he future.

The check engine light was on in the truck and it would not go above 50 mph. There was very little gas in truck. Employees were very cordial.

The vehicle had a very strong cigarette odor. The odor was so strong I had to drive with the windows open just to tolerate the smell. Please implement an option to rent a NON-SMOKING vehicle in the future.

The interior cabin of the truck had a foul smell. We had to use a whole can of air freshener throughout the three days. The inside of the windows were not clean so I had to clean it so I could see clearly at night. Also, the two 12volt plugs do not work; could not charge our phones.

I never rented anything from uhual in my life When I first got my storage unit the lady told me I could access it 24 hours a day at any time that turned out to be a LIE could not Access weekends or after closing and the place is filthy the so called general manager refused to refund me my overpaid money when I left I paid for a extra month in advanced and when I moved out I left my locker spotless clean and took pictures corner to corner and the so called general manager "Kelly" there said I was not entitled to the advanced months payment I have proof I made she humiliated me in public trying to make me and my receipt look like a lie raising her voice almost screaming further more when calling the local and corporate uhual phone I couldn't speak with anyone else above her to assist me in my local U-Haul robbing me out of the money I AM owed because they have you on hold for hours and when they do pick up the phone your hung up on this has been the WORST experience from a NON Professional local U-Haul I ever imagined I been lied to repeatedly and robbed of the money OWED to me and the place leaks water and is a filthy mess absolutely unacceptable and a lesson learned to say the least I will be sharing my experience here with everyone I know as much as I can so they don't make the mistakes I did going there!!

Back Door on truck broke, only had one load done. No one answered at their customer service number. Got charged 82.00. When I called to complain the girl offered me a truck at a discount price plus mileage. Then she came back and gave me back $52.00 out of 82.00 when we didn't even get to use the damn truck to move. (It's 29c a mile that would be 102 miles usage. My new house is 1 mile away from old house.) U haul is the biggest rip off won't ever use them again.

Messed up 3 business transactions and the guy lied to us and messed with us the whole time. Made us unload a truck in 2 hours when we were supposed to have the truck as long as ai needed. Then acted like a child when my voice raised because I got tired of him messing with us after 45 minutes. Never again.

I had resurved the truck a week in advance 1st from your Austintown, Ohio location and the manager was very rude . When I got there they didn't have a truck..she said it was my fault..but maybe when I reserved it she should have paid attention to her workers and what they were telling people..instead she was playing on her phone. Luckily Warren, Ohio location had one and they had a wonderful personalities and service.

When I arrived, the young lady who attended the counter finished a personal conversation outside before coming inside to wait on me. When I returned the equipment, there was a long line that didn't move because the one gentleman working the counter had to help a couple with a storage unit. The line didn't move for 25+ minutes.

The girl who checked us out when we first rented the truck was extremely rude. She had an attitude right from the beginning! It was like we were bothering her and she had no desire to wait on us. Every time I went to authorize the credit card amount the machine would freeze and she would have to enter all the info over again, this happened three times and every time she would act disgusting with us and never apologize! It had nothing to do with us it was the credit card machine. The third time she rolled her eyes at us and goes I will have to enter your info manually! She mumbled the whole time that you couldn't understand or hear her and when you would ask her to repeat herself because you couldn't hear her the looks she would give where unreal. She's not professional at all and I will pay for extra mileage to go somewhere else!!! The girl that assisted us with retuning the vehicle was very professional and a sweetheart to deal with!! Wish we had her the first time. Management needs to retrain the girl whom we originally first dealt with, she represents your company and extremely unprofessional. She also kept reading her text messages while waiting on us! Which made me feel she wasn't there to work and we were bothering her.

The staff at return wasn't very friendly or helpful. The girl seemed very disinterested in answering a question we had about equipment inside that we were interested in buying. I was a bit disappointed that the largest unit available (12'x13'x5') was pretty inaccessible due to the stairs (which I was notified about) and the narrow hallway (about 3' wide by 6' tall - which I was NOT notified about). Though I would have been able to fit my furniture in the room itself, it was impossible to rotate the couch in the hallway since it was so narrow and awkward. The smaller units had larger hallways, but the largest ones up the stairs just wouldn't cut it. Unfortunately I didn't even get a chance to fill the unit up since the largest items didn't fit, so I feel like I overpaid. Also, some correspondence from the location mentioned 24-hour access, but the unit is explicitly only accessible from 5am to 10pm. At 10:01pm I was locked out and had to haul everything back home an hour away and extend my truck rental another day. Also, I'm pretty sure I witnessed like 3 crimes during my experience in the area. Warren is a dying post-industrial town, and this location is a bit of a rough spot. I wish I would have known. I can't blame U-HAUL for most of my misfortune while moving, but I think the narrow hallway on the second floor is a significant disappointment to say the least. It's not like I could have seen it ahead of time. I tried to call before I reserved it but I think they only ever have one person in the office and I could never get through. It was clean enough and maintained enough, but it really seems like there must be just one person keeping the place running. All things considered, this is the most convenient self-storage location for at least 30 miles, but I'm glad I know now that I need a smaller unit to fit my large items and that I should plan to arrive while the sun is still up if I want to feel safe.

There was no signage or directions in my e-mails as to where my unit was. When I found the access door, there weren't any maps or directions to as to what grouping of units were where, and the floorplan of the building was a bit confusing (hallways would lead to dead ends, groupings of unit numbers were not in a fluid sequence, etc. This meant I spent about 35 minutes of my move in just trying to locate my unit by wandering around alone in this back warehouse. The facility is very nice, I appreciate the temperature readouts on the walls of the temp controlled units.

Considering I have several heavy items, I didn't think to ask whether my unit was on the ground floor, which it was not. When I asked about switching to a ground unit, I was told it would be an additional $10 after I was automatically charged for a lock although I already had one! I would suggest that your CSRs ask more questions.
