There was a smell of smoke in the truck. There was no sign in the the truck ( No Smoking). So you agree on smoking. I don't agree nor I want to smell this smoke all the time I was using your truck.

This location was good, but my experience with U-Haul corporate was awful. My reservation was not at this location so I showed up to the other location, they didn’t have the equipment and hadn’t called me, they then sent me 15 minutes away to the other location. Then when I asked if I could return the equipment to the location I originally had the reservation I was told no. This is total BS, U-Haul didn’t have my equipment and should make it as easy as possible since they’ve made the mistake, yet there was no flexibility. My preferred location where I had a reservation is 1 mile from my house with overnight drop off, it I was forced to wait and return at 8 am 10 miles from my house when I should have been at work. U-Haul messed up my reservation, didn’t notify me that it was unavailable and then made it my problem to figure out how to return it rather than letting me return where I should have been able to. I’ve told several people about the experience and overall that this is consistent with working with U-Haul.. not a customer focused company at all. I will not recommend.

The person who helped me through the transaction was very friendly and nice to deal with. The inside windshield in the van probably hadn't been cleaned since the vehicle went into to service. You wouldn't have noticed until you went driving. Otherwise a good experience.

Provide an accurate estimate of the mileage they will use. My estimate was 20 miles... I used 46. They only asked to the moving to zip code... no calculation was one from the store to the moving from location then to the moving to location, then all the way back to store.

The agent didn’t come out to help me return the equipment she just said she would email the receipt. I read the gas meter wrong and they charged me an extra 50.00 when she could have simply came out to do the return the correct way and help the customer. I called to see what could be done and they told me a manager would call me back and no one ever did. I am truly disappointed about this because I went and got gas just read the meter wrong. Could have been resolved if she would’ve just helped me.

I did not like that the associate that assisted me used their personal cell phone to take a picture of the front and back of my driver's license instead of using the uhaul device to upload my identification into the uhaul database. That is a risk of identity theft and I will not use that uhaul location again.

I returned my truck at 3:30 PM and asked for confirmation. She said I'd get it shortly after leaving. After getting texts from u haul that implied I had not returned it. I checked, no confirmation. I called them multiple times only to get the corporate line. The location then sent out a receipt and falsely stated that it was returned at 6:19 PM. Additionalpy spent over half an hour for someone to get me my truck this morning. Finally they had to call their manager to come into the store and fix it. Took 5 minutes competent people. Poor service.

Upon making my reservation, I selected a Pelham location for pick-up. I drove to that location because that's what I signed up for, and I received a confirmation. When I got to the location, I was told that my van was actually at a different location (Vestavia Hills). I had to drive all the way over to the other location. This all happened because of your horrible customer service. I received a text around 9 PM telling me that my van was at the Vestavia location not Pelham. DUH. It was TOO LATE at that point. My reservation was at 7:30, and I had already driven all over time. Needless to say, I had to pay more per mile because of this location.

Sabrena took good care of my moving needs and showed care in my tough move. I needed an auto transporter and a 15' truck and both of them were at MY storage unit u-haul, I didn't have to chase each one down thank God! Only issue..you shouldn't have to pay extra to get your car on the dolly, that should be a convenience for all those "extra" charges they don't tell you about until your pick-up, ie: extra insurance you have to buy, etc.

I was overcharged for the Uhaul and Storage Unit. After I was told by management, I would not be charged for the extended period of time due to that fact it wasn’t my fault for the delay. It was not a good experience at all. I was triple charged for the Uhaul. I request to be reimbursed for the Uhaul rented. I’ve already contacted Corporate about the incident.

The young lady who was working the front was polite friendly and knowledgeable. She was very helpful and very fast in solving our moving needs. And the manager deborah i think her name was. Very upset with drop off location. When I booked I put my destination zip code in and no drop off location was specified. At pick up I was told to call an 800# for the drop location. When I got ready to return the trailer I was told the closest was a 40 min drive from the zip I entered when making the reservation. When i said this was unacceptable I was told there was nothing that could be done. I rent 4 to 5 Uhauls a year and if they weren’t the only option I would not rent again. At the least I should be given a discount for the extra 60 miles I had to drive to drop the trailer.
