Improve steering and alignment on trucks with higher mileage. My rental had a delay in steering left and right. Alignment was also a bit off. I've driven many U-Haul tricks and this one actually impacted my confidence driving it.KAILANI L.

Create more space on the lot for after hours drop offs. The front driveway of the business was completely jammed at 7:00 am when I arrived for both pickup and dropoff. The lot is plenty large enough to allow for after hours drop offs somewhere besides the area near the front door.RONALD R.

U-haul on Monte Vista in Vacaville is absolutely the best I have ever experienced. Super clean facility, well secured, (cameras 24 & 7), and inside units. The entire staff are very professional, friendly and extremely accommodating. I've been a regular customer over the past few years and will not use any other u-haul facilities. I strongly recommend this facility over any other u-haul. Very negative experience with 3 other u-hauls in the local area. When I picked up my reserved truck the fuel light was on. I was already running late and had to drive to the closest fuel station (which charges substantially more than the place I planned to get fuel). The staff should fuel the vehicles before releasing them. If a truck goes out with a full tank of gas there's no guess work on how much you need to return it with.KASSANDRA B.

They gave us the truck with a quarter tank of gas. We filled the tank before returning to what it was at when we got it and they charged us because we returned it â€œemptyâ€! We only had the truck for 3 hours! We got a call 2 hours after returning it with them asking us when we were returning itâ€¦. So they charged us for turning it in late even though we turned it in an hour early! Still waiting on a call back to resolve this.Brandon W.

There was only one employee working in the office so he had to type in agreement, then go and get truck himself, leaving no one in the office. Other customers were coming in and had to wait until employee returned. He said the truck had 1/2 tank of gas but no inspection was done. It wasn't till I drove off the premises, that I discovered there was only a 1/4 tank. I tried to call the location back several times but no one answered the phone, so I took pictures. After returning truck outside, no receipt was given, so I was going to go into office to make sure receipt was corrected, but there was 4 customers in line. Not having time to wait I left and later checked the receipt on line. The additional gas amount was not charged, but they put a charge for a dolly on my receipt, which I did not rent. I had to call the 800 customer service line since again no one answered the phones and they politely took off the additional amount. Recommendation: During hours of operation, there should always be at least one employee to operate the office and answer phones to prevent theft and provide better customer service.Gary M.

Wash the damn equipment. The Van I was given had less than 1,000 miles on it. The exterior was very dirty. They didn't even bother to wash the windshield. The interior wasn't to bad but there was disgusting PET Hair on the seats.MICHAEL H.

Equipment was 90% clean outside, inside was 100% A left passenger headlight assembly was broken. it was temp fixed with tape that had been removed or came off due to weather. It was noted after it was turned in, otherwise satisficed. Also felt $1.59 a mile was too high. When gas prices are above $4.09 a gallon for a 56 mile move costing me $147 for 7 hours... too high.Anthony G.

A rock hit my windshield and cracked it as I was driving the 25 miles out of my way to return the trailer to Vacaville. There are some many other locations that were so much closer to my destination. The pricing doesn't make sense and is incredibly inconvenient.Keir K.

We had two storage units for about 4 years. After the second year we wanted one larger unit. We supposedly were placed on a list. Despite checking several times over the next couple of years, we were told there were none available. We saw at least three units with tags on them so I asked again to be laughed at and told there was a list and they would have the manager put us on the list. That night I found a storage unit at another facility and the next day someone from uhaul called and there was a unit magically available. Issue number two, which is actually the much bigger issue, are the people hanging out in the upstairs with bikes and backpacks. We were there at night moving out of our locker and three people with bikes and backpacks left the facility at 6:45pm but when we came back in the morning, those same people were back upstairs. There were several people just hanging around the facility, I did not feel safe going there by myself. People would also wait outside and follow people in when they used their key card.
