I have had a poor experience at this location in the past however my most recent experience was the complete opposite because of the service provided by Darrin Deyarmond. I had made a booking to pickup my truck at a difference location however it was unavailable and had to pick it up here instead. Because of that the billing of my reservation was incorrect and I was charged more kms than I should and the flat rate was also wrong. When I returned the vehicle and questioned my bill Darrin had a look, immediately understood my concern and also couldn't understand why I was billed the way I was. Darrin corrected the bill to my satisfaction without hesitation. Despite working alone during a busy evening Darrin was friendly, very helpful and provided exceptional customer service. I left feeling good about my experience - and this was after locking the keys in the vehicle and having to pay for someone to gain entry so I could return the vehicle. Thanks again Darrin

I've rented from the Truro, NS location several times this summer, and they have been absolutely awesome to deal with. Everyone is pleasant, helpful and easy to deal with. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the folks dealing with my online booking. The 15 foot truck I had originally rented for today's move turned into a 20 foot unit that I would have to pick up at a location 50km away. I was never offered to be reimbursed for gas for both my personal vehicle that I would use to drive the 100km round trip to obtain this vehicle, nor the gas on the rental unit on the one way rental to Truro from Westville they offered me. I will never, ever book online again, but will absolutely return to the Truro, NS location to book a rental for my next move. The folks in Truro are awesome to deal with, and I think the folks running the online services could take a lesson from the Truro branch in customer service.

Your storefront is excellent. Everything you could need for moving. I commend you for your respect of the unique history of the building as a hat factory and dynamic place of work for so many women and men-the photo displays are very well done. My rental experience was very good.

Should supply renters with an owners manual, cup holder was broken, should have good wiper blades. On a long haul like we did renter should have some instruction on navigating steep inclines. Should consider diesel engines on bigger units. Other than that all was good.

She charged me $320 extra said the truck was in miles not Km's, only thing that saved me was I took a picture of the fuel because it was wrong as well. So I had proof that the truck was registered in km complete scam!!! Never again! Lawrence MacLellan

During access hours, anyone can enter the facility and roam inside, which was concerning. I had an access card to enter after hours, but it never worked. Jackie and her staff were great!

We had problems with the online booking, as when we got to the Truro site they did not have the car hitch to be installed on my vehicle. We had to return the next day, but I must say the technician (Brendan) was excellent, even coming on his off day to install the gear for us. The central call center is also very difficult to navigate and not helpful. Our issues were only resolved when we managed to speak with the manager in Truro, who was extremely helpful. I would certainly recommend this location.

It was a long travel from the loading dock to unit 2231. The bumpy unlevel floor made for a challenging move in. Other than the floors, the facility is great.

The only issue with the facility: When first opened -- and after having paid for a locker -- work was not complete on the facility itself. For an excessive amount of time, it was not possible to get to our locker. Compensation of no kind was offered for the inconvenience. NO complaints about staff, they did all they could. Head office or District Manager (?) should have offered something: Reduced rate, a free month, something.

I was frustrated with having to walk around the building several times because the swipe card was not working, Pushing the help button on the swiper received no response. I think it would have been more courteous to accompany me to demonstrate and introduce me to the procedure and the location of the unit. I had been up all night packing and cleaning and then driving 4 1/2 hours (I stopped for a 45 minute nap) and was very tired. Luckily the elevator didn't stop working until our last load and the employee that came to look and help us find the stairwell was very helpful and kind. Drive-in and unload was very convenient and the trolleys worked well with a large elevator. I like the historical content of the building as I grew up bowling there every Saturday.
