After I dropped off my truck and was told I was "All good", I received a phone call the next day saying that I never turned in the truck and was charged for 2 rental periods. It took several phone conversations just to straighten it out.

Nathalie was so friendly, and accommodating. She goes above and beyond to ensure that U-Haul customers have the best experience possible and she explained how the storage and U-Boxes work. She also works so hard and you can really tell how passionate she is when working.

We rented a 15’ truck. Rode very well, was comfortable, and worked out great. The only thing I would mention about it is the windshield. It was very dirty(inside)and hard to see out of. And maybe add visor extensions for us short people. LOL. Early morning and late afternoon sun was so bright, and since I’m short, the visor didn’t help me much. 😂. Other than that, very pleased with our rental.

U haul totowa branch doesn't have any experience about how to install wire system, the cables were touching the road and hot surface of engine. I took photos. General manager sent my car to North Bergen uhaul branch to fix this issue. And the mechanic in North bergen couldn't believe his eyes about what they did. As a result, i am not happy with uhaul totowa, i don't recommend them.

The young gentleman that serviced me (I really wish I would've gotten his name), was so polite, professional, and informative. He answered every question including concerns that I had. He even found a larger unit than the initial one that I was going to rent since he understood the large 10x10 unit was too big for what I needed and I was a little unsure about if the 5x5 would suffice as well, so I was very please with his findings of a 5x7 unit which will suffice perfectly!

Staff experience was mixed — some were helpful and some were cold and curt! Apparently not well trained as they should be. There really ought to be a description sheet about how to handle the move out process — like amount of notice, unit clean our expectations, options about where and how to get rid of items one might want to discard, and maybe even references of local or U-Haul services to handle waste and discard items.

The price kept going up in talking about shipping Uboxes. Also, your insdoes not cover antiques, but I did find our about that until afterI paid. I also Houghton I paid for $15,000 of insurance, but what I saw, later, said $ 10,000. The bright spot in all this was the staff at the Totowa, NJ Uhaul. They were very helpful. A big thank you to the manager, Nathalie Augustin, who called the company when I was overcharged almost $700 for priority shipping of two Uboxes. She was able to get the error corrected, and the price back to what I was originally quoted. She deserves a raise

I was charged every month for 6 months for a storage I no longer had. When I found out and called I had to constantly call 2-3 times a day for over 2 weeks to try to get ahold of a manager there to approve me getting my money back. You not only wasted me time and money but you didn’t even offer one thing to reconcile the issue. Complete disaster of an experience. Will never use U-Haul for anything ever again

We had a lot of mouse droppings in our unit but I never had food in there. When I first rented the unit I always appreciated the clean bathroom but in the past few months it was dirty to the point that I had to be desperate if I used it. Toilet paper was a 50/50 chance that there would be some.

There was a water leak apparently over the storage unit. We were not notified and when we went to pick up some stuff from the mother in laws unit the one bedside stand and big screen tv was destroyed. We didn’t have insurance on the u it so I know we can’t do anything about the damage. But due to not being notified about the leak we moved out. Will not use uhall storage again

The gentlemen at the front desk were extremely helpful and courteous both during my initial check in and when I was finished using my unit. Also, very helpful recommending the supplies I needed. The automatic drive-in doors for entry were a great bonus. Moving carts were always available. The store always had various moving products available for purchase. It was a very pleasant experience.

I employed this service for over a year to house my product inventory for my business when my warehouse closed during the pandemic. The facility is accessible, clean and secure. Gave help when needed but, the second you have a life threatening emergency come up and you can't pay them... forget it. I'm thankful for the help Delford gave but I DEFINITELY will NOT be using this facility again!!! I'd much rather rent out a garage from an unknown person, in the worst part of town, than rent from them. Prices are crazy, fees are even worse. 10000000% learned my lesson. Thank you, but never again.

Observation: There was metal fragments (screws) on the ground within the loading /unloading dock, should be visually checked daily to prevent unforseen issue like a flat on tires of customers.

Getting an access card so i didn't have to type the security code each time was more complicated than it needed to be. Desk employee did not seem familiar at all with the online process. Not all access panels to disarm the unit seem to work - Alarm went off twice.

Kind of confusing getting into the building and disarming your unit at first but once you figure it out it is convenient and easy. I know this facility is fairly new and it shows, it is clean and organized. I loved that there was a lock waiting for me inside, and the on-line check in was extremely easy and quick. Highly recommend this facility, awesome location, and great price compared to others in the area. Love the free first month with one way U-Haul truck rental too!

Other than my working debit card not working there, the move in was ok. But today went I went to bring more items, there were a bunch of guys spray painting furniture inside the closed garage. I had a temperature control unit. Various times it was 77+ degrees. The light was out in my space for 4 months. I told the office twice to fix. The elevator was jerking at times going up. It needed to be looked at. The bathrooms were not clean enough. My unit had a bolt sticking out of the wall. Lastly when they went to the card system no one contacted me. The alarm kept going off. I went to the front to ask why is the alarm sounding. That’s when they explained the system and gave me a card?

I needed a 10X10 unit and there were none available. Justin and his team were able to help me by giving me 2 5X10s at the same cost of the 10X10. This facility is the cleanest storage facility I have ever used. The loading dock is great for me because I rent decor for events and home staging. I appreciate how helpful everyone in the office is all the time.

We booked one unit online but when we arrived the floor looked like it had rust at one point and the wall looked as though it had been wet. We called through the service speaker and were immediately given another unit to switch to. The worker we spoke to was polite and quick to address our issue.

I rented a 10x10x10 online and when I arrived at the facility was told they only had 2- 5x 10’s next to each other. I felt I was misled and my items did not all fit. Although your storage location was very helpful and driven by customer satisfaction, I wish it can say the same about the truck rental location in toledo, ohio. Unfortunately the employee whom attended us during pick up was not representative of Uhaul customer satisfaction protocols and values. Jessica Anderson was that employee whom attended me, a Moving Center General Manager. She was aggressive, rude, not very cordial, poor listener, confrontational and disregarded my information and feedback pertaining to my reservation. Her understanding of the reservation and contract did not coincide with mine understanding. While i continued to debate with Ms Anderson my son contacted your location and was able to confirm my understanding of the contract which Jessica was not understanding and acknowledging. To finish, thanks again for your service while storing our property.

Worst experience ever. Rented a 10x15 space on the 3rd floor when I got there the elevator was not working waited 2 hours for the maintenance to fix it, they never showed up they told me to come back when I got back shop was closed and I had no choice but to leave all my personal belongings out in the hallway cause I already had returned the truck I rented from them. No one ever called me back that night.

The loading dock was not designed with U-haul vans/people with access issues in mind. Needs a ramp. Very difficult to remove items drom YOUR van that i rented. Excellent staff

The only mistake is that they put places the UBoX on the opposite direction on the trailer which caused significant delays in unloading... human error

All very nice and helpful. I would absolutely recommend this place over Public Storage of Woodland Park. 1 issue with UHAUL that has to change, having to give 24hr notice to access your belongings.
