It started out bad, but ended very well. I was frustrated when my call wasn't returned by 6pm as I was told, only to call in a couple hours later to find out my available truck could be picked up 90 min away in a different state. The person I spoke with did not seem to care. She said they would call back at 7am. I honestly didn't want to use UHaul again because of her attitude. She didn't try to correct the issue. We delayed getting a truck for a week because of it. We made a few loads with the pick up, but we really needed a hauling truck. When I decided to try again, the person where I wanted to get the truck told me to put in for the truck at his location, even though he didn't have any at the time, but that someone would call me to get it set up. When I spoke with them, again they said a truck was reserved at a different location where I would need to drive 30 min away, only to drive back another 30 min to load the truck, and then another 30 miles to unload. However, when I explained what my situation was, and what had happened the week prior, the NH rep I spoke with took the time to think about how to make it work for us. She set me up with a truck in my town and gave me extra free mileage to cover the extra distance. We now would have to do a round trip from the new house, to the old house, and back. That made it very convenient for us, which made me very happy. I appreciate the time the reps took to help us out. The woman at the desk was also very nice when we picked up the truck. It was ready and waiting out front. Thank you! I hope we never need to move again, but if we do need a truck, we will use you again every time.MARK B.
The thing I didn't like is if I was late 4 days, I got charged an additional 20 dollars but if I wanted to move out just a few days after renewal there was no prorated money. I think that's very unfair and would be only reason to not recommend Uhaul's facility.Kevin R. | Overall Experience

Your site directed me to an old U-Haul location that is no longer affiliated with you. While the people at the Tilton location were fantastic, and there were no issues with the trailer, it was a stressful and ridiculous mess to get there. We had to drive an extra 3 hours round trip because of the location change, which we weren't even alerted to. It wasn't until we pulled up to the other location that the people there informed us they hadn't been partnered with U-Haul for months.Victor L.

I was charged an extra $27 for gas. I have been renting here on a regular basis for several years and know the drill. I even returned filling just a little more gas than I left with. The attendant insisted I left with a full tank, yet that was not on the receipt that I left with. When I suggested she confused the two returned trucks that were outside at the time she began to get testy and I could no longer talk to her. Moreover, I asked that the manager call me back which she never did. This is a real disappointment as I consider myself a regular customer and have always had a cordial professional experience here previously. All other times I left with a printed receipt, yet this time the attendant shooed me out immediately saying a final receipt would come later by email. I need to rent again in three weeks, but this time the attendant and I will check the gas tank together both coming and going.Jack D.
The folks running this location were friendly and very efficient. Thanks, will use that location again. Have to note that the trailer used could not handle modern tiedown methods, only thin rope would work. needs an upgrade. But this is not the fault of that location's mgt.Ken S.
When I make a reservation nearly two weeks in advance for a certain location and type of truck I do not expect to get a call less than one day before chaining my location. My pick up was in wolfebroro NH and last minute you change me to Tilton NH! My ride to pick up went from less than 15 minutes to well over an hour away. If you can't get equipment to a designated location then don't make the reservation! Last minute oit plans were majorly impacted by UHaul's lack of planning and/or concern for the customer. I will reconsider before I use UHaul ever again. That was wrong on so many levels and plain inconsiderate.Nicholas R.

Customer service was great! The box truck was clean on the inside. However the truck it self when driving it the front end felt loose and hard to steer. The front seemed to float and would not respond very well regarding the steering. I would recommend this location for their service but not truck rentalrichard W.

When I returned the trailer I guess my left tail light, brake light and blinker were not working. It was working when I checked in and picked up trailer. Please make sure lights work properly as malfunctioning lights can be very dangerous.Matthew G.

Was having reservation for 4X8 trailer lady at customer service took 1 hour to answer the phone was very rude and say we have no trailer for rent and cancel my reservation I have to drive all the way from Boston to tilton New Hampshire 80 miles away to get this trailer.
