My one way rental reservation was made one week prior for the Knight's Inn in Selma, NC. I drove over 2.5 hours for a 9am pickup. Upon arriving I was told that there was no truck available for me. This was extremely upsetting considering the distance I drove and already after the attendant ran and charged my credit card. I then was told by the attendant there was nothing that he could do to refund my money and I had to personally call u-Haul to have the dispatch reversed and have another truck located for me. I then had to drive another half hour to find a truck. Arriving at the second location, the attendant was not even on site and I had to wait another half hour until I received my truck. I reserved my truck for 9am from the first facility, had to travel to another facility and didn't leave with the truck until noon. The second facility was roach infested and in the middle of deliverance. On top of that, you again charged my credit card a $50 rental fee that I was told would be waived. All in all my first experience with u-Haul was terrible. I would not recommend your company to my worst enemy.KACIE H.

Im getting messaged about uhaul trying to charge my card without speaking me & I didn't get a call about it. I want it to stop for u be reported to bbb n whoever I can tell to get this store a bad review. I don't take to kindly for someone trying to charge my card for my 5 kids during covid unauthorized period. I got a promisary note n I got my things out of storage on the exact last day. So this uhaul place in Lexington nc better stop playing with me and they disrespected my mother when she was inquiring about my debt a woman of christ a cancer survivor and a lupus patient. My unit was in temperature controlled area. Area was comfortably cool, with good lighting, and I felt safe. New lock was waiting in unit for my use. Carts were readily available for loading and unloading. I've rented from u haul before this in the past , never had such a bad experience as I had this time. Moved long distance, I was advised that a 15ft truck would be big enough for a 2 bedroom house, wow were they wrong, I had to give up 10 pieces of furniture. And was advised that a 10 by 10 storage unit would be big enough for storage, also not so. Had to get another unit. Do the math, you can not put 15feet truck into a 10 ft garage. I am very disappointed and unsatisfied with this and had a very bad experience. I never use u haul or I will not recommend u haul to anyone. Check-in was fine, even though I got called 30 minutes before scheduled 4pm time to pick up truck. Previous renter was returning it 1.5 hours late. Asked could I pick it up at 6:30pm instead. Not really a problem, I just had to get another oerson to drop me there later. But truck and cab stunk of body odor when I picked it up! Had to ride with windows down. Uhaul movers noticed & commented on it in truck trailer next day. When I returned truck (30 minutes early) guy just took keys and said my final cost and receipt would be emailed to me. I used less than half mileage had anticipated. That was yesterday - and still no receipt - so not sure how much coming out of my debit bank account yet.Jennifer M.

The only thing that I would say is not up to par is the cleanliness of the U-Haul. There was a ant ðŸœ trail when I used it this time I'm not sure why but I cleaned the inside real well and under the seats were disgusting honestly and for the money that I paid that's unexpected to see. Strap that goes over the tire was papercliped on and when we went to tighten it the strap broke where it was clipped was not in good shape I had to use my personal tools and straps just to get it home definitely feel like I did not get my money worth the whole point of renting it was to not use are own tools other then that everything else was goodErik A.

The manager, I think her name was Donna, was awesome, genuinely very competent at her job. Especially after my reservation was moved to a location 40 minutes away which was a big inconvenience, I was relieved that she handled everything well. But I don't think that customers should be able to make reservations on the website if the reservations can't be fulfilled. Either restrict how far ahead of time people can make reservations or make sure the reservation is fulfilled.Sydney K.

No problem with the truck. The car trailer was another story. We started our drive back with the vehicle on the trailer. And as we gained speed the trailer started to swerve back and fourth. We went over 2 lanes almost to the guard rail. We managed to not wreck thankfully no cars were on that side of us. We pulled over and noticed the tounge of the trailer was sliding back and fourth inside the trailer brake mechanism. This was extremely dangerous since the weight of the trailer was shifting. It was a 45-50 mph journey home from there. It was like the trailer was on ice. Not to impressed. When i initially reserved this i was told 300 miles were free. After that it was 29 cents per mile. I was told this by 2 different people. When i got there i was told it was the first 100 miles free. I had to pay more than expected and could have been killed. In fact i should get money back for the 3 hr delay and trouble that was caused. Call me we can talk 336 471 5980David G.

This Thomasville location (WAS NOT) The original pick-up 2 week reserved location!!!!!! We traveled 35 miles round trip from high point nc to thomasville nc to puck up after the original reserved location DID NOT HAVE AND SO WE CONTACTED WILLIAM after being billed $7.55 etxra in dublin va for extra used milage!! We talked 3 times on the phone and he was going to give us back the extra $755 PLUS THE TRAVEL MILAGE FRON HIGH POINT TO THOMASVILLEIT HAS BEEN 2 WEEKS BUT NO RESPONSE . WE FEEL CHEATED AND CHARGED UNFAIR DUE TO NO FAULT OF OUR OWN PLUS THE RESERVED TRUCK OF 2 WEEKS WAS NOT AVAILABLE!!!! WE DO NOT RECOMEND U-HAUL TO OUR FRIENDS AFTER THIS INCONVEINCE AND TRAVEL DUE TO U-HAUL'S FAULT AND IMPROMT INCONSIDERATION TO OUR NEEDS! TOTALLY DIS-SATIFIED!Kyle G.

This is not in regards to the location but to uhaul schedulingâ€¦i was motified 2 hours prior to my pick up time that my pickup location was moved. It was moved to a location 50 mminutes away from my reaerveed location thus creating a 2 hour trip just to get my truck that was 5 minutes away. Now apology, nothing a take it or leave it reply from the scheduling office. Not impressed at all with uhaul and these are jot the stories anyone wants told about their businessDavid B.
Nothing wrong with the property. I needed a larger unit (5×15) and found a company that offered me that at the same rental price that I was paying at Uhaul for a 5x5. Only complain I have is I rented at Uhaul about two months ago and then received notice that my rent was going up. I'm very pleased with my experience so far with U-Haul storage facilities. The door locking system is a bit tricky. It's just a keypad, but truth be told electronics intimidate and confuse me a bit. I've had to go to the manager a couple times for my own mistakes with the door lock. I will probably end up calling again. Thank God, they are so friendly and patient - even after hours. I was not clear on entering my code on the keypad outside the building due to the door automatically opening when I walked up. When I opened the unit of course and alarm sounded. I went inside to the desk where a young man did offer assistance.
