Overall I had a good experience, but there were some confusions as I selected the mobile check-in experience instead of dealing with someone at the store. I like this option especially since we're still going through a Pandemic. I followed the directions on website to the T. The only thing I would suggest is 1. Show a video in how to open the Word Lock Pad. I had no experience with that particular pad, so took a few struggles before I figured it out. 2. My check-in time should not be the time I arrive, but the time that I actually finish with all steps to check-in. 3. To extend or add time to my return of the vehicle was not accessible. I had to call in to do so. That makes the web page a little inconvenient. I want to add that the upload speed was slow, and the approval process was slow too. As for the check-out experience: 1. There should be signs on the tent to park vehicles under the tent when returning. Signs should not say â€œequipment returnsâ€ only, but â€œequipment and vehicle returnsâ€. 2. I followed the website to park my vehicle in the parking lot, and was going through the steps to notate the gas levels, odometer, and cleanliness. The last step was to lock the key in the back, and a worker came up to tell me to repark under the tent, and leave the key and lock in the cup holder. I have no issues following the directions, but the website and workers are countering each other. Who am I supposed to follow? It's not supposed to be confusing. I think they need more signage, and clear up some confusions.Thierry T.

Truck was clean however, the oil chance like came on shorty after leaving U-haul. It was raining and the truck leaked water into the 26' truck. Several of my boxes got wet. One of the reasons I needed the closed in truck was to keep things â€œDryâ€.JOE J.

I had to stopped by my storage to remove some items but unable to open the lock with my key. I later found that my lock had been changed. The next day I checked with Uhaul front desk person stated that an employee mistakenly removed the WRONG lock. I was NEVER notified that my lock had been removed & replaced with another lock. My account was always paid timely in advance. I had to wait in line for another front desk employee who was supposedly "in charge" to provide me with the new keys so I could access my storage. I cannot thank this location enough!! Drove 4 hours from Louisiana to Spring, TX to move into my apartment for the leasing office to NOT be open when they were supposed to be, which caused such an inconvenience given that this is a new area for me. The UHaul representative gave me suggestions on how to go about the situation and I was able to make some arrangements to keep the UHaul at a close by location and pay for the extra days of keeping it instead of loading and unloading it multiple times. Thanks to after hours, I was able to finish unloading that night and drop the truck to the UHaul place without having to wait until the next day.DESTINY R.

The worst ever service I got in my entire life! What is going on with U-Haul?!!! The store I went to at Humble, TX was a disgrace, unfriendly, unhelpful, rude, and amature staff! They had no idea about their service and how the U-Haul system works. I had to go there for at least 10 times to make sure that they will deliver the u-box on time! Every time I went there, it was like the first time and they treated me like a new customer and I had to input all information again and again and again! Then, they refer me to the central store in Spring, TX. That center is a mess! truly mess! They do not know what they are doing! They changed my delivery and pick-up time like 10 times! Every day I had to call them and make sure that the box will arrive timely. I had to beg them to deliver the box to my home! Can you believe that?!!! beg them! at least 10 different agents from that center called me and asked my card number to withdraw the bill. I told them you got my card for 10 times, but they had no clue what is going on in their center! I am truly disappointed with U-Haul! The worst business I have ever worked with! Your agent is not trustful! They are lying all the time! They do not stick to their promise! They do not know how to work with software! They have no respect for the customers. They are just looking for the money! The phone numbers do not work. They are busy all the time. You have to stay in line for 30 minutes! There is not any coordination between centers. What information do you use?!!! 1980's system?!!!! I will not recommend U-Mess! to anyone! I'll stay away from your company forever! I am pretty sure that other customers have the same experience. I rented a car hauler trailer. The nylon straps for the front tires were worn (looked like they had been dragged) and were to short. I only had about 1" extending through the ratchet to work with. Took me about an hour of pulling, and working the strap to get it to hold in the ratchet and tighten so I could transport my car. Next time I'll check the straps before leaving the location.BRENT L.

They gave me a bad time when they called me the day after I delivered the tow dolly, they said that I had not delivered it yet when I called customer service and the employee asked me for two photos of the place where I left it and I sent her three and I He said it was fine. I rented it on Friday and the next Saturday I had to return it at 5:30 pm and I returned it the same you come at 8:55 pm and they call me on Saturday at 6:33 pm saying that I had not delivered it, I told him that I will check in the system and I gave him the name of the person who attended me in customer service and the email where I sent the photos and after that I get the receipt on Sunday and they say that it was delivered on Saturday at 5:30 pm when not It was like this. It was delivered the same Friday that it was rented.MARIA G.
My unit, #3205, had my secure lock removed and another secure lock placed on it. So when I went to retrieve some items from my unit, my key would not work. I asked the UHaul rep at the front desk and she inquired and found that the lock had been replaced. I was never notified of this change so I was nervous that items might be missing. As it turns out, no items were missing. But had I gone to my unit at a tome when the front desk personnel had not been at work, I would not have been able to access my unit. They gave me no explanation as to why the UHaul lock I had purchased and placed on my unit had been replaced by another Uhaul lock. Bad fail for customer service.carrie g. | Overall Experience

Very unfriendly employees. At the North Freeway@Richey Rd location, Complete confusion regarding what was available for rent vs what was already committed. Check-in process for the utility dolly that was rented from a separate location, on a one-way contract was a complete cluster mess. Took 30 minutes and three trips from the lot into the office for more interaction with the rude employees. I really appreciate the manager on staff when I asked to schedule a delivery of my UBox. I was unable to schedule my delivery online ahead of time (I couldn't fine the option on the website for my order #), and when I went into the location she said they usually need advance notice. I explained that I had work the coming week and my family had just moved into our apartment, so if we couldn't get our delivery we would be sleeping on the floor for a week! My experience here at Uhaul was great from renting a truck, renting two storage units, purchasing supplies, and the price was affordable. What made the experience poor was at checkout when i asked the young lady for printed receipts. She told me i had to go online for that. Since i dont have a printer i asked two more times if there was anyway possible for her to print them. She finally gave in when another employee stood behind her listening to me beg for receipts. I know printing a customers receipts should not have been difficult and truly believe she just wanted to give me a hard time for no reason at all. When leaving i noticed she only printed 4 out of 7 charges. So i called the facility and was told they would reprint them for me. When i returned to the office she was outside waiting for me & handed them to me in the parking lot. I assume she had been reprimanded for the poor customer service and was trying to make up for it. The only complaint I really have is that you just kept going up on the rent every year when I put my things in there in 2015 I was paying 130 and I had to stop it because had gone up to 160 and was still raising the rent and as a result of lost everything I did. I went to UHaul in order to rent one storage unit. The gentleman who assisted me stated he didn't usually help with storage units. Additionally, the computer seemed to be causing some issues. The process to get me into the computer took a while. About a month later, I received a call asking if I had moved out of one of my storage units. I explained that I only rented one unit and didn't know what the reference to a second unit was about. The person who I spoke with on the phone stated I must have accidentally been put in two units and stated they would take care of it. I then received an email reminding me about payment for the second unit. I called again and was told I would be removed from the second unit.
