The staff at both locations were helpful but I filed a complaint against Uhaul. I scheduled a trailer in south Reno and was contacted a day before pickup to notify me that I had to pick it up 40 minutes further away. In order to drop it off at the location by my house, where I scheduled to drop it off in the first place, they charged me over double the initial rate. When I did drop off the equipment the location was fine, except for UHAUL picking a drop off location 50 miles from my new home. Also the 3 phone calls I received asking about the drop off. 3 times they got the same answer but yet I still got phone calls and I got hung up on. I even got threatened with an additional $50.00 fee because no one knows how to communicate or seem to understand English. I placed my order and everything was ok but I had to reschedule to load the Unix a day later. When I redid the order my payment moved up significantly. I tried on four separate occasions to contact U-Haul to see about rescheduling my payment but I never got a the opportunity to talk to anyone about it. On one occasion I was back and forth between two offices. I tried calling customer service and it was an hour wait. I opted for them to call me back and when I answered the phone the line was disconnected. And then to top it all off they took the payment two full days before it was due.eric B.

Terrible customer service. I set my rental to a location less than 2 miles from my house and the pick up location was changed on me that morning to a location about 23 miles away. I was extremely frustrated by this as I had to pay all that additional mileage as well as additional gas. They would not take the additional mileage (between that location and the one I rented from) off. Whether or not this is the locations fault or Uhaul in general, this was horrific customer service. Then, I was given a 15 foot truck rather than a 17 foot truck. I know I ordered a 17 foot because when I was reserving it online, I set up to get a 20 foot and then the internet kicked me off and when I got back on, the 20 foot one was no longer available so I went to the next size down, a 17 foot. The overall experience was terrible and I will not do business with uhaul again. I will go elsewhere.TYLER MICHAEL E.

You could make the website more about servicing the customer instead of all the up-selling attempts. Additionally, if it's not illegal to misrepresent the insurance claims, then it should be. Most people with full coverage are already covered for any accidents, and UHaul uses the scare tactic to get the customer to spend unnecessary money.DANIEL T.

This was the third location we were sent to. Also could not receive the trailer until a day later than promised. This had set back our entire move. The most irritating part of the whole thing was I was never contacted about the change in location and/or time. The employees at the original location in Reno were absolutely horrendous people who could care less and basically told me it wasn't their problem. If I have any issues to contact customer service, which I now know is also a joke. I WILL NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN OR REFER YOUR COMPANY TO A SINGLE PERSON. I would rather pay the extra money, whatever it may be, and now I will be taken care of.Cody L.

The location and manager Eric were FANTASTIC. The experience with people on the phone at the call center, the app and U-Haul.com were so bad I wanted to cry in frustration. Literally f-ing AWEFUL. I was on the phone to reserve three trucks for animal rescue work for TWO HOURS! Could not set up an account (and I work in tech I am not a Luddite) because everything kept erroring out. Worst, most frustrating experience in the last six months. Eric saved the day, but please get your shit together and ask your app dev team to do some QA work!JULI W.

This is a horrible nightmare! I have called and called Uhaul and they will not respond or correct my issue. I have been taken advantage of, no assistance and was stranded because I didn't have the money to complete my move due to the delay. I get transferred over and over and over. I was cussed at, threatened and left to drive hours out of my way eventually leaving my truck in a parking lot. Not a phone call, text, email or anything. I have lost everything. I was given a specific amount of time to leave my personal storage unit and I had no choice. I am not looking for any kind of handout but this needs to be made right and it is wrong I have to to keep hounding every single day. This has wreaked havoc on my bank account because the "free" extension due to my issue double charged my account! I am so screwed and it's compounding every single minute that this is not fixed. Due to the double charge, I am now receiving fees for all of my debits. I am stunned that I have not even received a call back. My first reservation led me to a closed locale. The second was the harassment and a filthy truck that I couldn't see out of. There was food, trash and debris inside the cab of the truck. I absolutely, did not appreciate being cussed at. Hours later, I was forced to take a 26 footer. I had to pay my movers and let them go. I was stuck. Why? The storage unit from online was closed. The guy on Rock made me buy a lock and said I couldn't leave the truck. I have absolutely no one in Reno. I had to leave it at a casino because I live over an hour away with family. I could not leave my care in Reno because I had to work. In addition, I was afraid to interact with the hostile and aggressive person that I rented the truck from and I was not given any alternatives. I wanted to leave the truck at the location I finally found that would honor the "first free month". It is in Spanish Springs! If someone was yelling the F-word in your face as a single woman, how would you feel? This is absolutely noted in my account and absolutely, no one has called me. The expense has been abhorrent and I had to borrow money to try to fix it. Of which, has been unsuccessful. No one on-line is willing to help and this should have been an easy move from one storage to the next in two hours that took almost three days. I am working so hard every single day to do the best I can and I don't understand why Uhaul is above that. I am so upset because I can't gain control of this and I did everything right. Sparks, NV personnel were awesome, facilities were great. No complaint about them. Frustration exists with U-Haul's inability to track the progress of a U-Box shipment. Even when the shipment was acknowledged late, U-Haul traffic and U-Haul corporate could not reach the 3rd party transporter to find out their location and schedule. Customer was told "well, let's just hope it arrives tomorrow". U-Boxes arrived a week late, surprising the U-Haul staff who did not know if or when they would arrive. Noting the current near-real-time shipment tracking abilities of Amazon, FedEx, UPS, Uber, and even USPS, this "hopes and prayers"-style logistics management of U-Haul shipments smacks of the 1970s. Those 6x12 trailers are pretty heavy. I had to help the gal pick it up and put it on my hitch, and got hurt by the stand it was on. Then leaving it I had to get help to take it off. Maybe having some of those trailer stands that have the crank-able extenders on them would be beneficial. I know you'd have to keep them inside so they wouldn't get stolen. I know that where trailers are in comparison to the reservation date might not be controllable, but this is the 2nd time I've had to drive a long ways to go pick up a trailer. I moved a total of 27 hours across country and when I picked up the trailer I did not know what location I could drop off the trailer to. So I was given an option to 'select the location upon arrival'. So when I finally made it to my destination I tried to call uhaul with no answer for 10 minutes. So I then drove to the closest location to drop off the trailer. But then I was told a different location was already selected for my drop off location. Of course the location that was selected was 35 minutes away from my house. Why was I given the option to select a drop off location when something would be selected for me. Amazing spotless facilIty. Staff was super helpful and friendly. We had a one way truck rental from out of state that was supposed to be returned to another facility and they looked it up and transferred it to their facility and checked it in for us. We were so excited to find this RV storage in the Reno area. RV storage is in short supply. I spoke with Eric after being referred by another facility. Eric (the U-haul manager) was extremely gracious and generous. He joyfully spoke about the new facility on Pyramid Way and I immediately decided to move my 5th Wheel RV to his business ASAP.
