Nathaniel was another blessing in the crap storm of trying to get to away from a mentally ill ex. He was personable, genuinely cared of others as it was easy to see, and basically treats you with kindness and respect. Hands down I'd tell people to use the location hes located at just because of Nathaniel. I really hope you guys know how lucky you are to have someone like him to work for you.WILBERT O.

The trailer bed still had quite a bit of debris, including broken glass, nails, large staples, etc. Since I was renting it to transport a motorcycle (that was too long to fit in your motorcycle trailer), I had to spend 15 minutes cleaning the trailer before I could use it.David F.

Your reservation process sucks. I made a reservation a week before my trip. Called 5 days before and confirmed everything. The day before my trip, I get a message wanting me to go 2 hours in the opposite direction to pick up the trailer.James S.

Improve the uhaul website. Attempted online to extend my trailer rental by a few hours but website said it couldn't be extended beyond 730 AM this morning. So we hustled, forfeiting much needed sleep to make sure I would be back at rental location by 7 AM. I arrived at approx 645 AM and began online return process. I was, however, unable to lift trailer off my hitch by myself, so I sat back to wait until 7 AM when someone would surely be in. After waiting until almost 730 AM with no one around, I looked up the location information and saw they didn't open until 9 AM. I am beyond irritated that the online reservation system didn't provide that information when I attempted to extend my reservation. Instead, the site said if I was later than my 24 hour period (7 AM), I would be subject to additional fees. Really??? Where is my compensation for waiting for over 2 hours at the location for them to open? UnrealRobert C.

Would absolutely not ever recommend uhual to anyone ever. They never told me about putting gas in & charged 5 a gallon. Was on hold for 1+ hour & soon as I got customer service they hung up on me. Absolutely disgusted by this places bad manners & bad customer service. Will never use uhaul again. The general manager was suppose to call me & never did. Pathetic.Morgan T.

The door on the truck was so rusted it got stuck and we had to wait over 3 hrs for a service guy to come fix it. Lights in the back of the truck didnt work. Dash constantly beeped do to needing an oil change. Overall condition of truck was poorPaula Renee S.

Our unit leaked, and our possessions were covered in mold and mildew. Everything smelled and is basically a loss. Staff seemed uninterested in helping other than to tell us to make an insurance claim. Customer service was disappointing. Even if we are able to recoup and rebuy, there are things in the unit that are irreplaceable (pictures, baby book, etc.). Pick up is never the problem. Drop off places so far for me, (2 different places in 2 months), are nothing short of miserable. Miserable is actually a compliment. The first time, no one was there even though I called ahead. The second time, there was someone there, wasting oxygen. I'm a 71 year old man and I made the mistake of assuming that I would have at least a little help dropping off. Nope. This gives a black-eye to the uhaul organization as far as I'm concerned. Pick up is great, (that's the end where they get your money). I've got one more 900 mile trip to make soon and I'd rather carry my belongings on my back than to spend another dime at uhaul.james F.
The self check-in seemed user friendly, but was frustrating when trying to take a picture of the driver's license. The system required it to be placed a certain way, but that was never stated. It was also unclear as to whose license was needed...driver or person who reserved. Many people were renting that day, but it was very difficult to get the U-haul out from all the others. Everything was very tightly parked. Even with these minor frustrations, we would still rent again from this location.Alex P.

We dropped off the equipment to this location the truck we turned into this location was NOT cleaned when we picked it up. The guy we rented from was very unprofessional and rude. He would NOT do a walk around with us (he said he already did a walk round and wouldn't do another one with us). He did NOT give us a copy of our contract. We had to have it printed for us when we picked up a uhaul auto transport at another location because we were not informed until just 4 days before we were to pick up our equipment that we couldn't get the truck and trailer at the same location and we had made the reservation over a month in advance and prepaid for the equipment. Almost everyone I had to speak with at corporate was either rude or unprofessional/unwilling to help. The only people who helped me at all at uhaul were the ladies I spoke with when I dropped the equipment off and the gentleman that printed my original contract when we picked up the auto transport. I have used uhaul several times in the past but this experience was so horrible I will likely never use uhaul again. Again, this was NOT due to anything at the drop off location. This was ALL from corporate over the phone and when we picked up the truck.Arthur W.
Vehicle was dirty. We had to sweep it out before we could use it. Sand and dirt in the cargo area. Grass and dirt on passenger seat. Had to clean it off. Van seemed to be hesitating in the engine. Was swaying as we were driving. Unloaded and loaded.Julia D.
I went to pick up a 6x12 enclosed trailer in West Virginia. One of the four tires was visibly low on air. The U-Haul employee told me it was due to being parked on a gravel lot, which I knew was a load of crap. Sure enough, by the time I got it loaded several days later, the tire was low again. Tried to call and was on hold so long I finally gave up. Aired up the tire myself and stopped in Indianapolis. The U-Haul folks there replaced the tire and wheel, but it was difficult to get somebody on the phone to do it. Made it to Texas without any further issues. The folks at the Texas location were very helpful and accommodating. To be fair and honest, the manager at the West Virginia location credited me $75 off (on a $730 15-day rental), because of the tire trouble. Trying to get someone to answer the phone to help you is an exercise in frustration.Brooks C.

I booked a $50 guaranteed reservation for a 10ft truck. I showed up to pick up my truck and they had no truck for me!! Another lady showed up at the next counter and she also had reserved a 10ft. truck and was told that she didn't get one either. I was offered a free upgrade to a 15 ft. truck for free. Mind you...this bigger trick is going to take more gas to run. Which came out of my pocket. I was not reimbursed the â€œ$50 guaranteeâ€ for not having my reservation. I was asked to wait an hour for a 15ft truck because they did not have one even though they offered it to me. I was on a timeline and UHaul ruined my schedule. The employee took my name and number and said he'd call me when the truck came in. 2 and a half hours later... no call from Uhaul. I called and was on hold for 10 minutes when I decided to just drive over and see if they had a truck yet. I walked in, there sat 2 employees at the counter doing nothing. There on the wall behind them also hung the keys to the 15ft truck they were supposed to call me about almost 2 hours ago. They had forgotten to call me. This rental was a fiasco from start to finish.Sharon J.

So incredibly easy to take care of something that is usually a logistical pain. Everything could be done from my phone, and it was really convenient that I could access my unit and return my truck event though it was past store hours. I called an employee a couple minutes past close to ask some questions and he picked up and stayed on the line with me for probably 20 minutes just trying to help me out. Great overall.
